Norfilms is an independent British film and television production company based in Stockport, Cheshire near Manchester. They are dedicated to supporting independent filmmakers, producing worldwide entertainment films, and creating social change. Examples of their full-length feature films include the thriller "Applecart" about a gang hijacking computers and being killed in horrific ways, and the black comedy "The Vampires of Manchester" about university students. This company seems like a good fit for the requester's full-length film project based on the genre, length and style of Norfilms' past productions.
1. Carlsberg and Duval Guillaume played a prank on moviegoers by filling a cinema with bikers, leaving only two seats empty. Couples were scared walking through the crowd but those who stayed were applauded and given a Carlsberg beer.
2. Lynx Australia and New Zealand made videos to humorously explain the rules of rugby to viewers.
3. Hertz announced new dog cages in rental cars by hiding information and phone numbers with bones around Stockholm for dogs to find, cleverly marketing to dog owners through their pets.

Ikhlaas refers to sincerity in worshipping Allah alone without any partners or impurities in intentions. It is an important part of faith and acts of worship. Maintaining ikhlaas is challenging as one must ensure pure intentions before, during, and after deeds. Riyaa (desire for praise) and craving what others have severely hinder ikhlaas. Deeds not performed with ikhlaas are invalid and may lead to punishment on Judgment Day. One must train the soul to seek only Allah's pleasure and not be concerned with people's praise or possessions.

The Film Distributors' Association Ltd. (FDA) represents film distributors in the UK, working with companies, organizations, and individuals involved in the film industry. Originally established in 1915 in London, the FDA addresses issues of interest to distributors and advocates for their important role in the film economy. They meet regularly with government and trade groups to represent distributor perspectives.
The document discusses the evolution of television and film production in the digital era. It analyzes how some directors and writers migrated from cinema to television in the 1990s, allowing for more creative freedom. This led to innovative, high-quality TV series. Audiences also grew to expect extended storytelling across seasons. More recently, the internet has enabled even smaller, independent productions through platforms like YouTube. The document compares two such projects - the ambitious, crowdfunded transmedia project The Cosmonaut, and the Brazilian comedy series Porta dos Fundos. Both leverage audience interactivity and expansion across multiple platforms.
The document compares four institutions involved in the horror genre - Blumhouse Productions, Hammer Productions, Lionsgate, and Universal. It analyzes the work each has produced previously and how they might be suitable partners for distributing the author's horror film trailer. Blumhouse is noted for its low-budget, high-quality films and live events. Hammer Productions has experience and prestige in both classic and modern horror. Lionsgate has successfully targeted younger audiences and distributed controversial films. Universal has a long history in horror and a loyal built-in audience due to its classic monsters.
On June 19th, 2015, 50 delegates from across Europe gathered at the Cinémathèque française in Paris to discuss the future of film education in Europe and launch A Framework for Film Education in Europe. The Framework establishes common goals and outcomes for film education across Europe. It brings together the knowledge and experiences of over 25 partners from various film education organizations. The event highlighted several successful film education programs and their importance in developing film appreciation in young people.
The document summarizes the 32nd edition of the CineMart co-production market, held as part of the International Film Festival Rotterdam. It provides details on the 24 projects selected from 21 countries, ranging from modest to higher budgets. It describes CineMart as not only a co-production market but also a launching platform and finance market. It highlights some of the projects and filmmakers presenting at CineMart this year, including discoveries of new directors. It also outlines other events and awards occurring during CineMart.
The document discusses how a film's trailers can be advertised, marketed, published, and distributed. It outlines several strategies: using social media, billboards, newspapers, magazines, TV advertisements, underground posters and bus stops to reach broad audiences. It aims to target teenagers 15+ through platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and youth magazines. It also plans to advertise on film-focused TV channels and in public transit areas with high traffic in London to maximize visibility. The filmmakers chose Paramount Pictures UK to publish and distribute the horror film since they have experience with similar genres which could help attract interested audiences.
The campaign promoted the new Ghostbusters film by placing iconic elements from the franchise in high footfall locations like London Waterloo station. A partnership with Metro newspaper amplified this through advertorials, competitions, and displays that reported strange happenings at the station. This generated over 50 million impressions on social media and boosted interest in the film by 10%. The campaign was a success, with the film becoming the UK's number 1 movie its opening weekend and grossing over £10 million.
The document compares four film production companies - Blumhouse Productions, Hammer Productions, Lionsgate, and Universal Pictures - in terms of their experience in the horror genre and suitability for distributing an upcoming horror film trailer. Blumhouse is noted for its low-budget, profitable model and experiential events. Hammer Productions has a long history in horror and understands how to appeal to target audiences. Lionsgate has experience reaching younger audiences with teen-centered horror. Universal Pictures has a legacy in horror dating back to the 1920s-60s that still attracts audiences today.
USE OF NEW MEDIA IN THE PROMOTION OF CINEMANeha khatun
This document provides background information on the early history and development of cinema. It discusses key figures and innovations including the Lumiere brothers who held the first public film screening in 1895. Georges Melies expanded on early fiction films and special effects. Edwin Porter directed important early narrative films including The Great Train Robbery. D.W. Griffith directed over 500 short films for American Mutoscope and Biograph and pioneered important cinematic techniques. Warner Brothers founded one of the major Hollywood studios. Charlie Chaplin became the first major film star.
Spanish cinema has been used both for entertainment and to document Spanish history and society. Some of the earliest Spanish films from the late 19th century were directed in Madrid and Barcelona. Notable Spanish films include Camino, Fuga de cerebros y Al final del camino, many of which found international success. The Goya Awards are Spain's annual film awards ceremony, honoring achievements in the Spanish film industry.
The sixth Pixel Animation was held from October 24 to 30, 2016, at the Québec City Convention Centre and Cinéma LE CLAP.
Pixel Animation, Canada’s largest gathering of multi-screen animation contents, presented three simultaneous activity streams aimed at producers, distributers, investors, professionals and the general public.
The professional stream of Pixel Animation and Cartoon Connection had a banner year and record attendance.
A total of 450 participants took the various master classes and attended networking events: a record! Craftspeople from 24 countries presented some 200 projects at over 1,000 professional one-on-one meetings. And that’s not all, because Pixel Animation’s general public stream continued with screenings of four magnificent animated films.
The document discusses potential media institutions to distribute an upcoming thriller film. It analyzes Studiocanal, Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, and Warp Films. Studiocanal is selected as it distributes over 50 films per year across Europe, allowing the thriller to target a large, appropriate audience without the large costs of Warner Bros. or limited reach of Warp Films. 20th Century Fox mainly produces family films, so would not suit a thriller.
An American film studio like Paramount Pictures would be best suited to distribute the media product due to its similar sub-genre of human monster/psychopathology and reference to the film "The Thing". Paramount has experience distributing diverse genres and innovative plots, and could use its funds to promote the British-made film worldwide, keeping audiences interested through its portrayal of a relatable normal lifestyle while exploring unique and eerie themes.
An American film studio like Paramount Pictures would be best suited to distribute the media product due to its similar sub-genre of psychological horror and monster themes. Paramount has experience distributing diverse genres of film and the financial backing to promote the British-made film worldwide. Their large audience could appreciate the relatable portrayal of everyday British lifestyle despite the film's disturbing horror elements.
The MetrySense-3000 is a modular wireless connectivity system that interfaces sensors and actuators with IP gateways and monitoring centers using a low-power wireless mesh network. It is designed to provide robust connectivity for remote monitoring over large geographical areas without external power or communication lines. The system uses IPv6/6Lowpan and RPL routing to allow for self-configuration, self-repair, and secure communication. Individual units can operate for 5 years on internal batteries or up to 20 years using small solar panels.
The document describes an innovative technology called MetrySense-4000 that monitors power line insulator string contamination through partial discharge sensors. It detects contamination levels in real-time to help utilities reduce costs by washing insulators only where needed and avoiding power interruptions from flashovers. The system's wireless sensor units have a long battery life, low power use, and reliable connectivity to provide utilities with an overall vision of contamination levels on their transmission networks.
Metrycom's Rural Networks Smart Grid Solution uses novel MetrySense-5000 sensors that can identify and locate faults on medium voltage grids. The sensors form an inexpensive wireless network and dramatically improve distribution quality even in remote areas. They are easily installed, have a range of up to 10km, charge at low currents of 2A or use solar panels, and can operate for over a week without recharging. The sensors measure current and detect voltage to provide online fault information to distribution management systems.
Metrycom provides wireless sensor solutions that allow utilities to gain continuous visibility over transmission and distribution lines and reduce maintenance costs. Their technology detects issues and variations in electrical patterns, translating the readings into useful information for utilities. This predictive maintenance approach provides benefits like reduced costs from avoiding unnecessary repairs, improved safety, and network visibility.
The document provides an overview of the Emerald Diversified Fund of Funds. It aims to offer low volatility and solid, predictable returns through a diversified portfolio of non-correlated funds focused on areas like commodities trading, real estate, and structured credit. The fund of funds is based in Luxembourg and uses experienced service providers. It seeks to generate returns of 7-9% annually with limited exposure to market fluctuations by selecting managers with established track records in specialized sectors.
The document summarizes a specialized real estate bridge financing fund targeting 10%+ annual returns. The fund focuses on providing bridge financing for UK and London real estate markets, exploiting a gap in financing from traditional banks. It aims to generate returns through lending for property development opportunities at safe loan-to-value ratios. Risk management procedures include property diversification, conservative valuations, and stringent legal and operational procedures.
Vaxeal is a biopharmaceutical company developing therapeutic cancer vaccines and treatments for infectious diseases. It has several vaccine candidates in pre-clinical development targeting cancers and hepatitis C that are expected to begin clinical trials in Europe in 2014-2015. Vaxeal takes promising early-stage research from academic partners and advances it through clinical proof-of-concept, with the goal of improving patient access to new treatments.
The document introduces a new operating system called SPHER OS that is designed to run on all devices and provide an innovative window management system that allows for simultaneous multi-user multi-application use without limitations. It highlights key features of SPHER OS such as being easy to use, self-repairing, secure, allowing encrypted peer-to-peer communication, running multiple applications simultaneously without slowing down, and not requiring reboots. The document also discusses how SPHER OS is well-suited for large touchscreens and various sectors such as education, healthcare, retail, and more.
