4 EXT.STREET 1.NIGHT. 4
it is fast-paced, moving down a street.Houses are rushing
by, windows are lit and warm light is spilling out. The
street is empty. It is a cold scene, with dead leaves on the
pavement, steam can be seen spilling out some of the roofs
of the homes.No sound.
TARA
(v/o)
I never thought that I would meet
someone. Which is funny because I
live in a world where I’m never
alone. No one is ever alone. The
earth is a cup and it is filled to
the brim, spilling over the edge.
5 EXT. OUTSIDE WALL.STREET 2.EARLY MORNING 5
A woman’s fingers glides across the wall, the fingers fall
in and out of the ridges of cement. The sound of the touch
is heightened.
TARA
Ever since I can remember, we’ve
been split into two. Dusks, and
Dawns.

6 EXT. LONDON SKYLINE. EARLY MORNING 6
The London skyline lays ahead with the hill in the
foreground. The city looks sleepy, most the lights of the
buildings are off, some already awake. Then the camera jump
cuts, doing a slow crab shot from left to right, the
buildings become more detailed, the crab is calming, the
light is natural and blue.
TARA
The Dusks live at night, take our
places while we sleep.
7 EXT.BUSY ROAD.NIGHT 7
A car headlight, an abundance of legs rushing by, cutting
through the headlight. The sound of a large crowd
chattering, the piercing beep of car horns.
TARA
I’m a Dawn, I’ve never seen the
moon, or the stars. I’ve learnt
about them.Seen them twinkle on the
holographic screens.But the second
the sun starts to fade, so do I.
8 EXT. STREET 2.MEDIUM WIDE SHOT. EVENING 8
Closeup of Tara’s mouth. The camera is on a light angle so
you can see the steam leaving her mouth in billowing clouds
of hot air. Tara’s wrist, following her up the street. Her
wrists bobs and dances slightly by her side as she walks.
Her wrist faces the camera and there is a small, black
tattoo of a sun.
TARA
I’ve always wondered what it was
like at night. But I’ve never
tried. If they find you...
I never thought I would see the
stars
9 INT.KITCHEN.MORNING. 9
Tara’s face. She is smiling uncontrollably, her eyes are
glowing. The background is a simple white/grey wall, she is
wearing a woolly jumper, her hair is neat. Then it switches
to Oliver’s face, he is also smiling uncontrollably. His
smile fades and he looks into the camera intently, his eyes
are full of longing.

Until I looked at you
(Music begins to play, a powerful base drum over some
delicate strings or piano, creates tension )
10 EXT.STREET 3. MORNING 10
Oliver and Tara are walking up the street, you can only see
their hands entwined as they walk up the street. Then you see
Tara’s tattoo.Then switches to a closeup of Oliver’s wrist.
A tattoo of a moon is on Oliver’s wrist as they walk.
11 EXT.STREET 3. MORNING 11
Tara’s hair, the details of each strand are shown floating
silently in the morning air. Tara’s hand enters the frame as
she intricately adjusts her hair behind her ears with the
tips of her fingers. The action is very elegant.
12 INT. KITCHEN. MORNING 12
Closeup of Tara’s hand as she runs her fingers slowly up
Oliver’s sleeve, the sound of her hands upon the fabric is
heard clearly as the music fades slightly, when her hand
reaches Oliver’s shoulder, it stops and rests there, like
her hand had gone on a endless journey. You can see her
tattoo as her hand travels int. Tara’s face fills the screen
as she looks up at Oliver lovingly, she looks overwhelmed
and scared, like Oliver could disappear at any moment.Oliver
looks back down at Tara, he looks worried.Oliver’s hand cups
Tara’s chin, Tara leans into Oliver’s hand, closes her eyes
and sighs.
TARA
From the minute I saw you, I knew you weren’t a Dawn. I knew
you were different. I no longer cared whether I was breaking
the rules. Being in your arms, my own personal galaxy. I
needed you, every second of every day. You were an
opportunity, to see life, to see the night.
13 EXT.BRIDGE.NIGHT 13
Tara and Oliver’s faces fill each side of the screen as they
look at each other intently. slowly, the rest of their
bodies are shown, their bodies parallel to each other,
standing on a street alone. They are standing on a bridge,
the light is very soft and it is silent. It is winter, the
air is cold and they are wearing warm, winter clothing.
4.
14 EXT. PARLIAMENT HILL. DAY TO NIGHT. 14
The London skyline is seen again, time flies past, the
building’s lights flicker on a off as the day goes by. This
is fast paced and adds a sense of havoc to the city. The
clouds swim across the sky, the atmosphere feels calm,
quiet, the quiet before a storm.
TARA
Once I saw you, I was no longer
happy with what I had.
15 EXT. BRIDGE.MORNING 15
Tara is running across a bridge, she is looking behind her
shoulders and smiling, Oliver is chasing after her. Tara
stops. She looks around, worried, like she’s missing
something. The environment is rundown and a bit dodgy, it is
early in the morning, Tara feels vulnerable. She turns
around, there’s no one there, she searches, but he is gone.
TARA
I know, I’m selfish.
But once upon a time, we had night and day. We all slept
under the same stars. We all walked under the same sun.
16 INT. KITCHEN. BLANK WALL. UNKNOWN TIME 16
Oliver and Tara stand side my side looking into the camera.
then you see their eyes, side by side, different, beautiful.
You feel a sense of loss as they are so close together, like
Romeo and Juliet, an inevitable bad ending, they look very
serious. There is a blank background. All you can see is the
side of Tara’s face, she looks serious and scared. The wall
next to her is blank, simple.
TARA
I wanted to be both.
