Elizabeth Edwards, Senior Fellow, Center for American Progress, will be the featured speaker for Ohio Dominican University’s Presidential Lecture Series, at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9 in the Matesich Theatre at Ohio Dominican University, 1216 Sunbury Road Road. Immediately following Mrs. Edwards’ presentation, she will sign copies of her book.

A passionate advocate for children and families and accomplished attorney and author, she is a tireless advocate on behalf of many social causes. In her book, Saving Graces: Finding Solace and Strength from Friends and Strangers, she draws upon her strength of purpose, perseverance, warmth and wit to talk openly about overcoming significant life obstacles. Her courageous battle with breast cancer serves as an inspiration to women across the country. She is involved in a variety of charitable efforts, including the Wade Edwards Foundation, which she and her husband helped establish. Named after their late son, the foundation has provided computer learning centers for youngsters in Raleigh and Goldsboro, and has awarded thousands in scholarships and grants to North Carolina high school juniors and English programs.
