Scope of the research

Insight into the line of argument to be taken
 Sometimes advisable to finalize the introduction once
the body of the essay is complete

Evaluation
Appendices and foot/endnotes are ignored and
should not contain important information
Appropriate to subject
Conclusion
Final, summative, & at the end of the essay
What has been achieved
Notes of any limitations
Unresolved questions
Must relate to the research question posed

 Use consistent, standard style
 ie- Alphabetical or order of citation depending on style
 Only include what is cited within the essay
