Matter has
different propeties
that makes them
different from one
another.

We use different materials for cleaning, cooking, eating and
repairing. The usefulness of a certain material depends on its
properties. These are materials that are durable and therefore can be
reused many times. Though there are some that are not meant to be
used. Creative and inventive people still find a ways to use them.
There are also materials are made of ertain purposes only and
can be harmful when not use properly.
In order to minimize waste in our own household , we have to
know which materials are still useful and which are ones should
already disposed.
Direction : in the chart below, list down five materials that you find
inside the classroom. Write down each materials usefulness and
harmfulness in the proper column in the table.

harmful.
 They must have separate conatiner for
disposal.
 They must have proper labels and should
be out of reach of children.
 They must not be touched with bare
hands. Gloves should be used when
possible.
Guidelines in Handling, storing,
disposing Harmful Materials.:
Corrosive material chemicals must
not be flushed down the sink or
toilet
Flammable material such as thinner
and firecrackers must be stored in
cool and dry place far from any flame
source.
Always read and follow the
instructions of a product
before using it.
