2. Potensi Energi terbarukan di Indonesia
Indonesia merupakan salah satu Negara yang
terlibat dalam perjanjian paris pada tahun 2015
silam. Target dari perjanjian ini adalah penurunan
emisi Gas Rumah Kaca. Indonesia memiliki
komitmen mencapai Net Zero Emission pada tahun
2060.
pemerintah juga telah menetapkan target bauran
Energi Baru Terbarukan (EBT) sebesar 23 persen
pada tahun 2025. Hal ini tertuang dalam Rencana
Umum Energi Nasional (RUEN).
Menurut data Kementerian ESDM, total potensi
energi terbarukan Indonesia mencapai 417,8 giga
watt (GW) dan potensi terbesar berasal dari surya
atau matahari sebesar 207,8 GW. Namun, realisasi
bauran EBT baru mencapai 13,55 persen per April
2021.

3. Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) adalah sistem pembangkit listrik yang bersumber dari
radiasi matahari melalui konversi sel fotovoltaik. Semakin tinggi intensitas radiasi matahari, maka
semakin besar daya listrik yang dihasilkannya.
Menurut pengoperasiannya PLTS dibagi menjadi 3 yaitu, PLTS on Grid yang suatu sistem PLTS yang
tidak memerlukan baterai karena sistem kelistrikannya terhubung ke jaringan PLN, PLTS off grid
pada umumnya membutuhkan baterai untuk menampung hasil konversi energi dari cahaya
matahari. Sedangkan, PLTS hybrid adalah sistem PLTS yang terdiri dari gabungan sistem
pembangkitnya untuk sumber energinya.
Sedangkan menurut pemasangannya PLTS dibagi menjadi 3 yaitu, PLTS ground Mounted, PLLTS
Rofftop dan PLTS terapung.
