There are two main types of electricity: static electricity and current electricity. Static electricity involves electrons building up on objects and is produced through friction, while current electricity involves a flow of negative charges along a conductive path like a wire. An electric circuit requires a complete loop or path for current to flow from a power source through a switch and to a device, and includes four main parts: a source (battery), a path (wire), a switch, and a user (bulb).

Resistance: Resistance is the property of a material to oppose the flow of electric current. It is measured in Ohms (Ω) and is an important parameter in electrical circuits as it affects the amount of current flowing through the circuit.

Series Circuits: In a series circuit, the components are connected in a single loop so that the current flows through each component in turn. The total resistance of a series circuit is equal to the sum of the resistances of the individual components.
