The railways layer, the urban settlements layer, the administrative boundaries layer and the water bodies layer
(lakes) . The features of each layer were classified into certain class according to the feature classifications of the
1:100,000 topographic maps of the ESA.
-Sinai Development (AL-SALAM canal) project
Reviewing for about 150 contour maps with scale 1:10.000 and contour index 1 meter.

Educational Buildings Organization Project - Techno Scient (IBM)
Educational GIS project to capture and store all the topographic maps of Egypt of scale 1:2500 together with a
thorough survey for all Egyptian schools and its buildings to be located over its geographic position on these maps.
Then the GIS were used to analyze these digital maps to define the best locations suitable for establishing a new
educational building.

Converting all CAD data layers of Sultanate of Oman into Arc/Info Coverage’s.
CEDARE Project- Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC)
Constructing a GIS unit and a GIS system for CEDARE (Center for Environment and Development for Arab
Region and Europe). The project is a GIS application concerning the environmental impacts of both water and soil
in CEDARE region. The project is implemented on both the national and regional level.
