 Loktak Lake is one of the most famous tourist
attractions in Manipur, located 53 KMs from
Imphal. Considered as one of the famous lakes
in India, Loktak boasts of circular floating
swamps, which is locally called phumdis.
Sendra Island of Manipur is situated amid the
lake and spread over 300 square meter, which
makes it popular for boating, picnic, and
photography. It also supplies water for irrigation
and hydel power to nearby areas.

 Charges: Nil Time required: 1 to 2 hours
 Keibul Lamjao National Park Encircling the Loktak Lake,
This National Park is best known for floating flora of
endangered brow-antlered deer or sangai. Offering
mesmeric views of the lake, this national park, sprawling
over 40 sq. km is one of the most beautiful Manipur tourist
attractions. Moreover, Keibul Lamjao National Park is also
known to be World’s only floating sanctuary and quite
popular amongst nature lovers, wildlife enthusiasts, and
ornithologists. Besides being home to animals like, wild
boar, hog deer and jungle cat, this place boasts of a large
number of endangered as well as common bird species like
East Himalayan pied kingfisher, duck, ruddy shell-duck,,
and Indian white-breasted

 Tharon Cave or The Uluan Cave is among the fascinating
tourist attractions in Manipur. Located near Tamenglong,
this 650 m long cave tunnel consists of carvings and
excavations of Hovnanian Culture of North Vietnam.
Featuring 5 exits and 34 joints, this cave is a favourite
amongst trekkers and adventure junkies. Manipur State
Tourism Department organizes cave expedition program
every year, where people enjoy the thrill of walking through
the dim tunnels.

 Charges: Nil Time required: 1 to 2 hours
 Kangla Fort, which is also known as the Palace of Kangla
is located close to Imphal River. Kangla Fort was the
administrative seat of various Manipur kings from Nongda
Lairen Pakhangba to Maharaja Kulachandra. The remains
of the fort speak of Manipur’s rich history and heritage.
Comprising of temples, citadel and coronation halls,
Kangla Fort is a hot favourite tourist site in Manipur among
history buffs, photographers, and architectural enthusiasts.
Opening hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The fort is closed on
Wednesdays.
 Charges: INR 2/person Time required: 1 to 2 hours
 Snugly located at about 920 m above sea level,
Singda Dam is the highest mud dam in the
World and a sight to behold. Overlooking
serene Singda Lake, this dam acts as a multi-
purpose irrigation project for entire Manipur.
The dam is surrounded by lush green paddy
fields and hills and is considered as one of the
ideal tourist spots in Manipur for picnics, day
trips, trekking, and hiking.
 Opening hours: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
 Charges: Nil Time required: 1 to 2 hour
 "Millennium City of India"
 Once little more than a dull and comparatively unknown
suburb of the national capital region, today, Gurgaon is not

 Present on the way to hills of Shimla, Panchkula is famous
for the ruins of the Chandels and trekking on Morni Hills
teemed with peacocks.One of the most planned towns of
Haryana, Panchkula is a satellite town that forms the tricity
with Chandigarh and Mohali. Ruled by the Chandels from
9th-12th Century, this hill-city derives its name from the five
irrigation canals or ‘kuls’ which draw water from the uphill
Ghagghar. Sector 5 in Panchkula is popular for its variety of
entertainment and eating out options. It even has an open-
air amphitheatre and the Terminals Ballistic Research
Laboratory of the DRDO. Panchkula is also a place which is
used as a halt before going to nearby hill stations in
Himachal Pradesh
 "The land of Mahabharata"
 A city in the state of Haryana, Kurukshetra, also known as
Dharmakshetra is known as the "Land of the Bhagavad
Gita". Situated 170 km north to Delhi, the place is famous
for the battle between the Kauvaras and the Pandavas in
the Hindu epic, Mahabharata. It is the place where Lord
Krishna is said to have recited the Bhagavad Gita to
Arjuna. In the past, Kurukshetra was one of the most
important centres for Vedic civilization as well as
education. Lord Buddha and several Sikh Gurus are known
to have visited and spent time in Kurukshetra. The place
has a large number of devout centres, holy shrines and
kunds which trace back to the epic ages and the earliest
Indian civilisation..

 Faridabad is Haryana's largest city and
its major industrial hub as well.
Faridabad is the main part of district
Faridabad which has two divisions -
Faridabad and Ballabgarh. The city
shares borders with New Delhi on its
north, Gurgaon to its west and Uttar
Pradesh on its south west ends
 The historic town of Narnaul in Mahendergarh district
of Haryana claims to be one of the important seats of
the Dwapar yoga of Mahabharata.Claiming a hybrid
architectural influences of Mughal, Rajput, Persians
and the British, Narnaul is famous for its many tombs
and historical sites that date back to the Mughal and
Rajput era, followed by the rule of Prince of Jaipur and
Patiala. Also famous as Birbal's birthplace who was
one of the Ministers or Navratnas in Akbar's Court,
Narnaul is the birthplace of Sher Shah Suri, the
Afghan king who shook the foundations of the Mughal
dynasty. The famous Ayurvedic blend, Chyavanprasha
was first made in Doshi, a sacred hill just 8 km away
from this town.

Considered as one of the famous lakes in India, Loktak boasts of circular floating swamps, which is locally called phumdis. Located near Tamenglong, this 650 m long cave tunnel consists of carvings and excavations of Hovnanian Culture of North Vietnam. Featuring 5 exits and 34 joints, this cave is a favourite amongst trekkers and adventure junkies. Kangla Fort was the administrative seat of various Manipur kings from Nongda Lairen Pakhangba to Maharaja Kulachandra. The remains of the fort speak of Manipur’s rich history and heritage. Comprising of temples, citadel and coronation halls, Kangla Fort is a hot favourite tourist site in Manipur among history buffs, photographers, and architectural enthusiasts. Situated 170 km north to Delhi, the place is famous for the battle between the Kauvaras and the Pandavas in the Hindu epic, Mahabharata. It is the place where Lord Krishna is said to have recited the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna. In the past, Kurukshetra was one of the most important centres for Vedic civilization as well as education.
