This activity aims to help participants reflect on their listening skills with patients and develop empathy when communicating. Participants are instructed to read an article on effective communication skills, define active listening and list four essential aspects, and define empathy and discuss how they practice it in patient communications. They will then discuss their findings with a mentor and review patient feedback.
