Real time implementation of a packed u-cell seven-levelAsoka Technologies
In this paper a new cascaded nonlinear controller has been designed and implemented on the packed U-Cell (PUC) seven-level inverter. Proposed controller has been designed based on a simplified model of PUC inverter and consists of a voltage controller as outer loop and a current controller as inner loop. The outer loop regulates the PUC inverter capacitor voltage as the second DC bus. The inner loop is in charge of controlling the flowing current which is also used to charge and discharge that capacitor. The main goal of the whole system is to keep the DC capacitor voltage at a certain level results in generating a smooth and quasi-sine-wave 7-level voltage waveform at the output of the inverter with low switching frequency. The proposed controller performance is verified through experimental tests. Practical results prove the good dynamic performance of the controller in fixing the PUC capacitor voltage for various and variable load conditions and yet generating low harmonic 7-level voltage waveform to deliver power to the loads. Operation as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or AC loads interface for photovoltaic energy conversion applications is targeted.

Electric vehicles (EVs) are a key technology for reducing oil import reliance and reducing individual transportation's environmental impact. Electric vehicles have several advantages over traditional internal combustion engines, including lower local emissions, higher energy efficiency, and less reliance on oil. Yet there are significant barriers to the rapid adoption of electric cars, including the limitations of battery technology, high purchase costs, and the lack of recharging infrastructure. Electricity infrastructure will be required to satisfy the growing charging demand of PEVs to supply electricity for these vehicles. This paper investigates the possible effects of large-scale EV integration on the power supply system. The possible effects are bus voltage violation, transmission line overloading, reactive power violation etc. The effects of varying the number of EV loads on the power system are analyzed here. During this process, two types (Static analysis and dynamic analysis) of load flow analysis are performed. The tentative number of EV loads is found through the static analysis. In dynamic analysis, motor switching events are analyzed and the size of the EV charging station is finalized by them. This paper emphasizes the effect of the integration of EV loads on the system and also provides some suitable solutions to minimize those effects. The system used here is a prebuilt industrial network of 103 MW. The load flow analysis of this system has been thoroughly analyzed after each step. The results show that it is possible to design an uninterruptible large-scale EV charging station for this particular system with a specific number of EV loads.

This paper presents a PMU-based state estimation algorithm that considers the presence of voltage source converter- based high voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) links. The network model of a VSC-HVDC link with its control modes is developed and then combined with an AC model to accomplish a hybrid AC/DC network model. The measurement model in this algorithm considers the properties of PMU measurements, thus separating the network model with measurements. Additionally, DC link measurements are assumed to be sampled synchronously, time-stamped and reported at the same rate as PMU measure- ments. Then, by applying the nonlinear weighted least squares (WLS) algorithm, a PMU-based state estimator can solve for both AC and DC states simultaneously. To validate the algorithm, a simulation study for a 6-bus hybrid AC/DC test system is shown in this paper.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

This project shows some ease in adding, editing and deleting the student details. It also provides a less time consuming process for viewing, adding, editing and deleting the marks of the students.
