Interview with Megha Singh - General
Manager - Eduplor
Please brief us about your life journey and share your feedback on how you
have come so far.
Coming from Siwan, a small town in Bihar, I have seen different kinds of challenges girls have to face to avail
of higher education and to grab job opportunities matching their caliber. Females in my state face numerous
challenges in accessing school education and higher studies like deep-seated gender biases, socioeconomic
constraints, and safety concerns which act as a barrier in their educational pursuits. I was no exception to those
challenges and since the educational infrastructure and environment were not very conducive, I also faced
challenges at the initial level. Fortunately, my parents were educated and very supportive and sent me to Patna
for good schooling and then I shifted to Lucknow for my higher education and completed my MBA there. But, I
feel bad for many of those classmates who were there with me, and could not get access to quality education like
me because of certain constraints and thus I wish to empower women from the small towns and help them grow
& explore their potential. I feel that the absence of female role models is also one of the circumstances and the
girls there have no one to look upon. I wish that those girls who worked hard and got access to better education
and jobs would also contribute somehow to bring some change in their areas. To address these challenges, a
comprehensive approach is needed, involving improvements in infrastructure, changes in societal attitudes,
and targeted efforts to provide equal opportunities for girls in small towns in Bihar and similar regions.
Please enlighten us on how you build your team and how you empower women
at Eduplor.
Working with Eduplor has given me the freedom to build a women-empowered team resilient, and productive.
As a women leader, I am honored to share my journey of empowering women and fostering a productive,
women-led team. My story is rooted in a commitment to breaking barriers and creating opportunities for
talented women. Recognizing the untapped potential of women in the workplace, I have been dedicated to
building an inclusive and supportive environment that allows every team member to thrive. At Eduplor, we
prioritize diversity and inclusion, recognizing that a diverse team leads to innovation and success. I have actively
worked to ensure that women have equal access to leadership roles, mentoring programs, and skill development
initiatives. Our company policies are designed to promote work-life balance, making it easier for women to
pursue their professional aspirations while managing personal responsibilities. One key aspect of my leadership
approach is creating a culture of collaboration and empowerment. I encourage open communication, ensuring
that every team member’s voice is heard and valued. This has resulted in a more engaged and motivated team,
where women in my team feel confident in expressing their ideas and contributing to the overall success and
growth of the company.
Moreover, I have instituted mentorship programs within the organization to provide guidance and support to
women at various stages of their careers. By connecting experienced professionals with those who are newer to
the workforce, we’ve cultivated a strong sense of community and shared learning. To address the specific needs
of women in the workplace, we have implemented initiatives such as flexible work hours, remote work options,
and family-friendly policies. This flexibility has not only increased job satisfaction among female employees
but has also contributed to higher productivity levels. In terms of team dynamics, I’ve witnessed firsthand the
power of a women-led team. The diverse perspectives, collaborative spirit, and empathy within the group have
translated into creative problem-solving and successful project outcomes. Each team member brings a unique
set of skills, and by harnessing these strengths, we have created a dynamic and high-performing environment.
As a women leader, my commitment is not just to advance my career but to pave the way for others. By creating
opportunities, breaking down barriers, and fostering a culture of empowerment, I believe we are contributing to
a brighter and more inclusive future for women in the workplace. Together, we are proving that when women
are given the support and opportunities they deserve, they can excel and lead with excellence.
What are the methods used from your end to keep your employees motivated? What recreational approaches do
you implement to maintain their enthusiasm?
Recognizing and appreciating the hard work of my team members is a key aspect of maintaining motivation.
Regular acknowledgment of accomplishments, both big and small, boosts morale and reinforces a culture
of appreciation. I implement a recognition and reward system that highlights individual and collective
achievements, fostering a sense of pride and accomplishment among the team. To encourage professional
development, I invest in training programs and workshops that help employees enhance their skills and stay
abreast of industry trends. This not only benefits the individual’s career growth but also contributes to the
overall success of our projects.
In terms of recreational approaches, I
understand the importance of work-
life balance. Periodic team-building
activities, social events, and outings are
organized to provide opportunities for
relaxation and bonding among team
members. These recreational activities
contribute to a positive workplace
culture and strengthen interpersonal
relationships. Flexibility in work
arrangements is another recreational
approachthathelpsmaintainenthusiasm.
Allowing for flexible work hours or
remote work options demonstrates trust
in the team and enables them to better
balance their professional and personal
lives. Moreover, I prioritize creating a
comfortable and aesthetically pleasing
workspace. An environment that
fosters creativity and collaboration can
significantly impact the team’s overall
mood and motivation. This includes
providing comfortable workstations,
break areas, and incorporating elements
of inspiration and motivation throughout
the office space. I actively seek feedback
from my team and use it to continuously
improve our work environment. By
involving employees in decision-making
processes and considering their input,
we create a sense of ownership and
empowerment.
By implementing these strategies, I aim
to ensure that my team remains engaged,
enthusiastic, and committed to achieving
our collective goals.
What are the other verticals
of Eduplor? What other
verticals are you engaged in
the company?

academic writing agency in India and
India’s first company to offer SOP

L
ionel Messi, an Argentinian football player, is one of
the best players of the modern time. He competes for
both the Argentina national team and FC Barcelona.
He has five times been named FIFA world player
of the year (2009–12 and 2015). Due to his tremendous goal
scoring record and ability to dribble past opponents, he has
frequently been referred to as Diego Maradona’s heir. In 2016,
he declared his international retirement, however he later
changed his mind.
He led his nation to victory at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, for
which he received the Golden Ball Award. With 26 world cup
matches played, he set the record for most appearances in
world cup tournaments.
Early Life
Lionel Messi was born on June 24, 1987, in Rosario, Argentina,
into a working-class family. His father was a manager in a
steel plant, while his mother was a homemaker. He began
playing when he was young, and his talent was soon apparent.
However, Messi’s growth hormone deficiency (GHD) was
discovered when he was 11 years old. It jeopardised his ability
to play professionally.
Treatment for GHD would have cost at least $1,000 per
month which was not affordable for the family. His club
the Newells backed off later after promising for the help at
first.Messi family attempted to set up a trial with Barcelona
in September 2000. The board of directors hesitated since,
at the time, foreign players being signed by European clubs
at such a young age was rather unusual. Charly Rexach, the
first team director, expressed an instant interest in signing
him. Barcelona was given until December 14 to prove their
commitment, and because Rexach was out of paper, he offered
a contract on a paper napkin. Messi’s first season in Spain saw
minimal action with the Infantiles due to a transfer conflict
with Newell’s; as a foreign player, he was only permitted
to participate in friendlies and the Catalan league. Without
football, he struggled to fit in; always reserved by nature,
at first, he was so quiet that his teammates mistook him for
being mute. He experienced home sickness while staying in
Barcelona with his father.
Career
Messi moved to Barcelona with his family when he was 13
years old and started playing for FC Barcelona’s under-14
squad. For the youth squad, he scored 21 goals in 14 games.
He advanced fast through the higher-level teams, and at the
age of 16, he made his unofficial FC Barcelona debut in a
friendly game.
During the 2004–05 season, Messi, who was 17 at the time,
broke the record for being the youngest player and goal scorer
in La Liga, Spain’s top football league. Despite standing only
5 feet 7 inches (1.7 metres) tall and weighing only 148 pounds
(67 kg), he was a strong, balanced, and versatile player on the
field. Messi was a natural passer with a left foot, pace, and the capacity to handle the ball nicely. He could effortlessly swerve
through places that were heavily protected. His acquisition of Spanish citizenship in 2005 was met by conflicting reactions among
Barcelona’s ardently Catalan supporters. Messi and Barcelona won the Champions League (the European club championship)
the year after that.
Messi’s talent developed significantly over the years, and by 2008, he was among the best players in the world, finishing second
to Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo in the voting for the FIFA World Player of the Year award. As Barcelona successfully
defended their La Liga title in 2009–10, Messi scored 34 goals in home matches and Messi received the Golden Shoe award for
being Europe’s top scorer that year. After his historic season, which saw him win the 2012 world player of the year title, Messi
became the first player to receive the honour four times.
Messi led Barcelona to a La Liga and Copa del Rey championship in 2015–16 thanks to his 41 goals across all competitions. With
45 goals, he helped Barcelona win the La Liga and Copa del Rey titles once more in 2017–18. In December 2019, he won his
career’s sixth Ballon d’Or. Messi’s sixth career title came in the 2020–21 Copa del Rey, which Barcelona won.
Financial issues that were partially a result of La Liga rules made it challenging for him to re-sign with Barcelona when he became
a free agent in 2021. He left the squad having achieved a number of goals, including being the league’s all-time leading scorer
of goals (474). Later in 2021, he signed with Paris St.-Germain. He was a member of the Argentina team that won the 2005 FIFA
World Youth Championship, played for his nation in the 2006 World Cup, and scored twice in five games as Argentina won the
gold medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Messi helped Argentina go to the 2010 World Cup quarterfinals, when it was
eliminated by Germany for the second time in a row.
At the 2014 World Cup, Messi put up an impressive performance, scoring four goals and nearly single-handedly advancing an
offensively anaemic Argentina squad past the group stage and into the knockout rounds, where Argentina eventually progressed
to the World Cup final for the first time in 24 years. Argentina lost that game 1-0 to Germany, but Messi was still considered the
tournament’s top performer and was given the Golden Ball trophy. Messi declared his “retirement” from the national team in
2016 after Argentina lost in the Copa final, the team’s third straight finals defeat in a major competition. However, Messi’s brief
“retirement” only lasted less than two months before he made the announcement that he was rejoining the Argentine team.
He assisted an underdog Argentine team at the 2018 World Cup get to the round of 16, where they lost to eventual champion
France in their opening game.
Messi and Argentina won the World Cup on December 18, 2022, after defeating France 4-2 on penalties at Lusail Stadium
following a 3-3 tie in extra time. Messi scored twice in the shootout and successfully converted his penalty. Messi won the Golden
Ball for player of the tournament, becoming the first player to do it twice. With seven goals in seven games, Messi became the first
player to score in each stage of a World Cup since the last-16 round was established in 1986.
Personal Life
He wed Roccuzzo on June 30, 2017, at Rosario’s Hotel City Center, a five-star hotel. Messi and his family practise Catholicism.
They have 3 kids together.

that are required of them. Adaptability is essential because it
enables leaders to overcome obstacles and seize opportunities

I
n today’s modern cut-throat competition world,
every person in business domain whether he/she
is a Start-up business owner, CEO (Chief Executive
Officer) of an MNC (Multi-National Companies),
MD (Managing Director) in the corporate world, GM
(General Manager) of a company, or an Editor of a
magazine, everyone wants to be a leader. There are two
distinct personalities “Manager” and “Leader”.
A leader is the one who nurtures life skills like
Effective Communication, Time Management, Stress
Management, and Relationship Management which
helpsdevelop holistically. An effective leader is a
great listener. He/she must possess good character
traits like Honesty, Competence, Candour (Impartial),
Commitment, Integrity, Courage, Straightforwardness,
and above all Imagination.
Before we get ahead, Let us try to understand leadership
definition and the leadership skills owned by true
leaders.
What is Leadership? Who are the leaders in society?
Accordingtotheconventionaldefinitions,Leadershipisan
interpersonal influence directed toward the achievement
of a goal or goals. In the present context, leadership
is defined as “a dynamic relationship”established on
shared influence and common purpose betwixt leaders
and collaborators in which both are advanced to higher
levels of inspiration and moral development as they
affect factual, intended change.
When we look for the leaders in today’s dynamic world
we look out for Narendra Damodar Modi (Indian
Prime Minister), Donald Trump (US President),
Vladimir Putin (Russian President), Mahendra Singh
Dhoni (Indian Cricketer), Azim Prem Ji (Chairman of
Wipro Limited), Mukesh Ambani (MD and Chairman
of Reliance Industries), Tim Cook (CEO of Apple),
Mary Barra (CEO of General Motors Company) are
to name a few. So what is that make them different
from others?
SUCCESSFUL
LEADER
Mahendra Singh Dhoni (or ‘Mahi’), One of the best
captains in Indian Cricket history, is the man who stood
out from the rest with his potential, leadership, and
consistency. The distinct leadership’s qualities in him
are his ability to remain cool, his act of staying grounded,
always leading from the front, encouraging others to
perform and sharing the credits among players.
Leadership versus Management
In conceptualizing leadership, it is very important to
understand how it differs from management. In any
organization, both management and leadership co-
exist. It is of prime importance to understand their
relationship and their distinctiveness.
• Management is the process of setting and achieving
the goals of the institution through the functions
planning, organizing, directing (or leading), and
controlling. It deals more with carrying out the
organization’s goals and maintaining equilibrium.
• In contrast, leadershipis concerned with the
interpersonal aspects of the head of the company,
whereas designing, organizing, and managing deal
with the administrative aspects. Leadership deals
with development, inspiration, motivation, and
influence.
The key point in differentiating between leadership
and management is the idea that employees or staffs
of the unit willingly follow leaders because they want
to, not because they have to. Leaders may not acquire
the formal power to recognize the achievement or
give a reward. However, subordinates give the leader
power by complying with what he or she requests.
Leadership is thus a very significant psychological
institution.
Styles of Leadership
Leadership style is the individual’s behaviour and
approach of providing direction, putting into action
plans, and motivating people. There are three different
styles of leadership
• Authoritarian (Autocratic),
• Participative (Democratic) and
• Laissez-faire (Delegative or free reign)
Authoritarian (Autocratic)
This leader tells his/ her subordinates what he/
she wants to be done and how he/she wants it done,
without getting the advice from them. In this case, it is
difficult for subordinates to contribute or develop. Some
of the appropriate conditions to use this style are, when
you have all the information to solve the problem, you
are short on time, and your team members are well
motivated.
Example: Adolf Hitler & Benito Mussolini
Participative (Democratic)
This leader includes one or more team members in the
decision-making process in determining what to do and
“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your
life-think of it, dream of it, live on that idea.
Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of
your body, be full of that idea, and just leave
every other idea alone.
This is the way to success.”
Swami Vivekananda
Leadership
How to Become a Highly
how to do it. However, the leader maintains the final
decision-making authority. This is normally used when
you have some of the information, and your employees
have some of it. This allows your colleagues to be part of
the team and allows you to make a better decision. This
style leads to the most productive teams and decisions.
Example: Ratan Tata (TATA group)
Laissez-faire (‘delegative or free reign’)-Based on trust
In this style, the leaderpermits the employees to make
the decisions. However, he/she is still responsible for the
decisions that are made. This is used when employees
are able to examine the situation and decides what needs
to be done and how to do it.
Example: Mahatma Gandhi
Have you ever noticed how you approach people, clients,
customers, your colleagues? The differences in the way
people approach others indicate whether the leader is
a “positive leader” or a “negativeone”. Inculcating the
Leadership qualities, understanding human nature, and
exercising the different Leadership styleswill help in
better communication, coordination, supervision, and
implementation of business plans and ultimately will
shape You (Young Entrepreneurs)to be among the Top
leaders of tomorrow’s business world.

s they say, “Starting and growing a business
is as much about the innovation, drive and
determination of the people who do it as it is
about the product they sell.” Innovation in business
is not just a buzzword but a vital element that can
make or break a company’s success. It involves
bringing new ideas, products, and services to the
market that create value for customers and improve
efficiency within the organization. Innovation
requires creativity, courage, and a willingness to
take risks, as well as a culture that fosters continuous
research and learning. In today’s fast-paced and ever-
evolving business landscape, innovation is more
crucial than ever, as companies that fail to innovate
risk being lagged behind. By embracing innovation,
businesses can unlock new opportunities, stay ahead
of competitors, and achieve sustainable growth.
Business Connect, a renowned name in the
publication industry is well-known for its impeccable
monthly volumes. And here again, we are back
with another one, which we call ‘Most Innovative
Companies to Watch in 2023.’ To make this edition a
grand success, our editorial team had an interesting
and joyful virtual session with the leadership panel
of Transinfo Solutions. The management of the
company, including Mr. Rajev Taparia (Founder of
the Organization), shared numerous lesser-known
facts about the company and also shared some light
on his overall entrepreneurial journey so far. The
passion and dedication of the team highly inspired us
and made us feature them in this exclusive volume.
We truly hope and desire that this fascinating read
will add some value to the outlook of the global
readership board and will surely encourage the
budding leaders out there to break the barriers and
chase their dreams.

our clients have its desired goals.”
Sharing the impressive inception journey, Rajev Taparia
affirms,
“It takes me back about 22 years when
I had completed my post-graduation in
management. Like every MBA grad, I was
looking for a lucrative corporate job. And I
bagged one with a company in Kolkata that
was into reinsurance broking and financial
consultancy and joined it against the long-
standing tradition of business in my family.
That was the time I learned the lesson the
hard way. I realized that working under
others would rather clip my wings. I was
a highly aspiring young chap with dreams
to make it big. So I quit the job and looked
for an opportunity to start a business. It
was around 1999 - 2000, I came in contact
with a company in Hyderabad. They were
making websites for corporations. At that
time having an email used to be a big
thing. I started selling websites. That’s how
my entrepreneurial journey took off and
Transinfo Solutions was born.”

DISTINCT WAYS
TO CULTIVATE A
THRIVING
WORKPLACE
9
What is your definition of creating a thriving workplace? Well, it isn’t just
about ping pong tables and free snacks (although those can be nice perks!).
Basically, a thriving workplace is all about fostering an environment that
prioritizes the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of its employees.
And we all know how happy and content employees can create a way to
improve productivity, engagement, and retention.
1. Establish Work-Life Balance: First, make sure to provide flexible work hours for your team members. To add a
cherry on top of it, offer remote work options, flexible schedules, and generous paid time off to allow employees to control their
time and meet their personal needs.
2. Disconnect and recharge: If you
wish to see your business thrive, just allow
your employees to set boundaries and truly
disconnect after work hours. This could involve
setting expectations for email response times and
discouraging late-night communication. Moreover,
try to provide access to mental health resources and
initiatives like mindfulness programs or Employee
Assistance Programs (EAPs) to help them process
their emotions in an efficient way while reducing
their stress.
3. Prioritize Physical Health and
Wellness: Investing in an ergonomic workplace
could do wonders to your goal. You need to invest
in comfortable furniture, adjustable workstations,
and proper lighting to prevent physical discomfort
and injuries. Along with that, you can offer healthy
choices in your own cafeteria or break room, and
encourage breaks for movement and activity. Also,
you can host fitness challenges, health fairs, or on-
site fitness classes to promote healthy habits and
employee engagement.
4. Establish open communication
and Psychological Safety: Try to create
a culture of open communication by encouraging
employees to voice their opinions, concerns, and
ideas without fear of judgment or reprisal. But
before this, you need to ensure active listening on
your own. Leaders should make time to listen to
employees’ concerns and feedback, and take their
input seriously.
5. Build trust and psychological
safety: The management of your company
should focus on team building activities and social
events to help employees feel connected and
comfortable with each other.
6. Recognize and Reward
Achievements: One should regularly
acknowledge and appreciate
employees’ contributions under any
circumstances. Either it could be through
verbal praise, written recognition, or performance-
based rewards.
7. Offer opportunities for growth and
development: Provide training programs,
mentorship opportunities, and career development
resources to help employees reach their full potential.
Alongside this, celebrating successes together like
organizing team outings, recognition events, or
company-wide celebrations to boost morale and
foster a sense of community make a huge difference.
8. Lead by Example: Leaders should set
the tone by taking care of their own health and
well-being. This could involve practicing work-life
balance, prioritizing physical activity, and openly
discussing mental health challenges. Promote a
culture of respect and inclusivity. Leaders should
be mindful of their own biases and actively work to
create an environment where everyone feels valued
and respected.
In this exclusive
article, we have
brought to you 5
key strategies to
cultivate a healthy
and balanced
work environment
for your team
that could bring
you phenomenal
business success:
9.Beauthenticandtransparent:The most significant one would
be leaders being open and honest with employees concerning the company’s
goals, challenges, and successes. It is a well-asserted fact that by implementing
these strategies companies could create a work environment that is not only
productive but also supportive, healthy, and fulfilling for their employees.
The key takeaways
No one can deny the fact that happy and healthy employees
are more engaged, productive, and likely to stay with your
company for the long haul. Investing in your employees’
well-being is an investment in your company’s success.
So, start creating a thriving workplace today! We hope
this blog provides valuable insights and actionable steps
for companies looking to cultivate a healthy and balanced
work environment. What is worth mentioning is the fact
that a thriving workplace is a win-win for both employees
and employers!

t is 6-7 times more expensive to ac-
quire a new customer than it is to keep
a current one. A customer well taken
care of is worth much more than the
money spent on advertising. Custom-
ers are not buying products and ser-
vices these days, rather they are look-
ing for experiences delivered to them
via the products and services. For a
Service Company like Aforeserve,
these principles are like a lighthouse. Every com-
pany says that their customers are the first priori-
ty, but there are a few which show that their busi-
nesses are always ready, willing, and able to go the
extra mile for each and every one of their custom-
ers. Therefore, the most divergent and stupendous
brand of the year: Aforeserve.Com Limited works
on the mantra – “Good service is good business”.
The company was started in the year 2000 with
the break-fix and repair services for motherboards
and monitors for customers like HCL and in the
year 2012, the company started wider offerings
like AMC/FMS/Managed services to the custom-
ers across segments like BFSI//Govt./PSU/Cor-
porates, setting new benchmarks and standards
for service delivery across the country and today,
it is well known in the industry as a leading ser-
vices provider.

How Do They Feel They Are Different From Competitors?
1. Their integrated Service and Support model, which offers end-to-end ICT lifecycle services across brands, platforms
and technologies, thus eliminating the complexity of managing service commitments and relationships with mul-
tiple vendors.
2. Flexibility, Agility, Affordability, and Responsiveness - In the highly fragmented services market of the country,
they offer a services delivery model, which is adaptable to budget considerations, flexibility, location preferences
and mission-critical needs of the customer.
3. Pan India presence - extensive Pan-India support network offering benefits of direct and localized service to meet
service level commitments in a cost-effective and viable manner.

Any Time Is A Good Time To Start A Company - Start-Ups
Today, IT systems are highly open and very few compo-
nents of the entire IT landscape are proprietary. So, over
the years, from a few large brands, the IT Lifecycle ser-
vices market has become highly fragmented and only
about 30% of the total market is occupied by the large
players. The rest of the market comprises small and medi-
um-sized service providers (Start-ups) and at the base of
this pyramid are thousands of service providers who are
small, localized and even client-specific.
This scenario gives rise to a large number of start-ups as
the entry barriers are low and this is positive for the start-
up ecosystem. However, this also provides a challenge for
the customers to get reliable services at an affordable cost.
Story Of Struggle
Starting and establishing any business has challenges and
more so, in case of IT Lifecycle services which is a crowd-
ed market space. They started with few customers and
created a name for themselves with superior service expe-
rience for their customers. Backed up by robust systems,
frameworks, and processes and gradually over a period
of 5 years acquired a large set of customers across all seg-
ments, specifically BFSI and Corporates.
One must take risks to drive growth. While the appetite
for risk may vary as it can adversely impact the enterprise,
it is a must to be successful. So, a balanced approach helps
and the onus lies with the leader to do this.
Robust And Growing List Of Clients
They address the entire market, broadly segmented into
four categories covering the Businesses & End-customers
that consume IT services and the technology providers or
System Integrators that drive them. There are numerous
types of clients they serve:-
1. OEMs: HP, Acer, Lenovo, NCR, UFO Movies, Tata
Sky, Jio, and more
2. ODMs: ECS, NSI, ECS, Inventec, Pegatron, and more
3. SI’s: HP, IBM, HCL, Wipro, DD, NCR, and more
4. End Customers: multiple clients in segments like
BFSI, Govt, PSU, and Corporates.
Creating market share in a crowded and fragmented
market for IT Infra Services is a challenge for any service
provider and they have addressed this by differentiating
themselves through Customer Focus coupled with agil-
ity, flexibility, and responsiveness. Today, CSAT (Cus-
tomer Satisfaction) is a key performance metric across the
Company and there is a huge emphasis on the Quality of
Service.
Innovations And Cutting Edge Technology
Chip level repairs of complex components like mother-
boards of latest generation Servers, laptops and desktops
are being done at global class repair facilities, equipped
with the tools and machines and the trained engineers,
achieving the service standards required by the Global
brands.
Apart from the standard offerings of AMC/FMS services,
they have developed robust frameworks and systems for
specialized service offerings like IMS. There are other spe-
cialized and differentiated offerings like servicing the IT
equipment which is beyond their End-of-Life by the re-
spective OEMs.
This helps them to grow customer base and gives strong
reasons to customers to avail their services. The custom-
ers can optimize their IT investments and sweat their IT
assets more than they would otherwise.
Innovations are a must for the IT sector and more so to-
day, in the age of Industry 4.0. Innovations like Automa-
tion in IT infra services delivery and so-called Left-Shift
enables customers to optimize and reduce the costs of IT
Infrastructure Management, even as the Infrastructure
grows along with business growth.
The Life Of A CEO
Apart from playing the role of CEO in Aforeserve.Com
Limited, Mr. Rajeev Asija loves adventure travel and he
has been indulging in this for several years. He under-
takes at least one such travel every year and has had the
opportunity to visit several really exotic places across the
world that include the jungles of Africa, the icebergs and
the volcanoes of Iceland, the serene and majestic beauty
of Newzealand experienced thru a 3500Kms road trip of
the North and South Islands, Western coast of USA and
last but not the least the Himalayan mountain ranges in
the North covering the remote interiors of Ladakh Region.
Apart from such travels, he enjoys reading. This includes
fiction as well as non-fiction. Non-fiction would typical-
ly include some great books by successful entrepreneurs
and management gurus as well as some books that have
European history as their backdrops.
Path Towards Achievements, Millstones, And Future Of
The Company
They achieved the best in their industry as they have grown
at a CAGR of 34% over the last 5 years and the outlook for
growth looks healthy. They also have established a robust
pan-India footprint with presence across all States. Addi-
tionally, they have got accolades in the form of ‘Company
of the Year’ and ‘Brand of the Year’ from leading market
publications over the last 3 years. They have received spe-
cial recognitions from Partners like HP, Acer, and Lenovo
for their services partnership with them over the years.

Due to the fact that there’s no universal rule for “Ideal sleeping habit” to follow, generally, people follow the habits
of successful people or Entrepreneurs. Successful Entrepreneurs never underestimate the significance of sound sleep.
They wish to be focused, emotionally balanced, and quick-witted in all areas of their business. In this article, I have tried
to explore about sleep, its importance for an Entrepreneur and have suggested a few important tips for having a sound
solid deep sleep which is very important for staying calm and focus at their work.
Should sleeping hours be deducted for being productive?
Like all people in the world, Entrepreneurs do have to take care of things besides their routine work. So balancing
both their official obligations and their business, project, etc. make them a very busy personality. This pattern is found
common in Entrepreneur or any professional in today’s fast-moving world where the sleeping habits and patterns of
quantity and quality are affected by a variety of cultural, behavioral, social, pathophysiological, psychological, and
environmental influences.
According to a new study, those who are early birds (early sleepers and risers) are less prone to develop stress, heart
disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, Obesity, and stroke. Early birds are biologically programmed,
Stable Circadian rhythms controlled by body’s biological clocks, to be less susceptible to depression and schizophrenia
and might just be happier than night owls (late sleepers and late risers).
Our ancestors used to follow a fixed pattern to have quality sleep and probably this was the key for their healthy
physical and mental well-being. An inspirational quote of Benjamin Franklin, (1706-1790), one of the famous figures of
American History quotes about the value of early rising and health
Sun is the ultimate source of energy. Recent studies have pointed out that the exposure to sunlight or bright indoor
lights during the morning hour’s helps in having sleep better at night. The later you wake-up after sunrise the slothful
and lethargic you will be. The closer you wake up to sunrise, preferably before sunrise it will make you active and zest-
ful. It can be observed in the dynamism of animals, birds, and most of the elders in the family as they all wake up either
at the stroke of sunrise or earlier than that.
What is Sleep?
Sleep is a complex and dynamic process which is the major part of our daily routine. We spend about one-third of the
day in sleep. Quality sleep and getting a sufficient amount of it at the right times is as essential to survival as food
“Scholars and thinkers wake up early in the
morning and contemplate. Also, those who
desire wealth wake up early and get to work”.

and water. Without sleep, the pathways in our brain are
not formed or maintained which allow us to learn and
create new memories, and it’s tougher to concentrate and
respond swiftly.
Sleep is of paramount importance to a number of brain
functions, like how nerve cells (neurons) communicate
with each other. In fact, our brain and body remain sub-
stantially active while we sleep properly. Recent findings
suggest that sleep plays a housekeeping role that elim-
inates toxins in our brain that is build up while we are
awake.
Everybody requires sleep, but its biological purpose
remains a mystery. Sleep affects altogether every type
of human body tissue and system right from the brain,
heart, stomach, and lungs to the central nervous system,
immune system, respiratory system, digestive system,
cardiovascular system, and Endocrine system.
Is Sleep beneficial?
Infants generally require about 16-18 hours a day, while
teenagers (13-18 years old) require about 9 hours on av-
erage. For most adults(above 18 years old), 7 to 8 hours
a night appears to be the substantial amount of sleep, al-
though some people may require as few as 5 hours or as
long as 10 hours of sleep each day.
For example,
• The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, a
brilliant statesman has gained the ability to have a
sound deep sleep but only for 3.5 hours.
• The Ex-Vice President of Apple’s Retail Angela
Ahrendts is an early bird and wakes up before the
sun rises. Her sleeping hours never used to exceed
more than 6 hours a night.
• The 45th President of United States, Donald Trump, a
Republican sleeps for 4-5 hours a night only.
• Tips for Getting a Good Night’s Sleep
• Getting sufficient sleep is good for health. Here, I am
going to discuss a few tips to improve your sleep
• It’s very important to Set a schedule and go to bed
and wake up at the same time each day.
• Before going to bed nearly a few hours before, Exer-
cise about 20 to 30 minutes a day.
• Before going to bed or late in the day try to avoid
caffeine or nicotine and alcoholic drinks
• Try a warm bath, reading, or another relaxing routine
before going to bed.
• Avoid bright lights and loud sounds, keep the room
at a comfortable temperature and don’t watch Televi-
sion or have a computer in your bedroom to create a
room for sound sleep.
• If you are unable to go for sleep, do something else,
like reading or listening to music, until you feel tired.
Avoid lying in bed awake.
• Visit a clinician for any problem in sleeping or for un-
usual tiredness feeling during the day. Most sleep
disorders are effectively curable.
Conclusion
Sound sleep is one of the pillars of our health system
along with good nutrition and regular physical exercise.
Relaxation techniques like Meditation, yoga, and music
have all proved effective for stress and sleep disorders.
Successful entrepreneurs make it a priority to get suffi-
cient sleep every night for self-control and being focused
at their work.

Every photographer discovers their passion in many
ways. Maybe they all started snapping photos with
a toy camera as a child and discover their photography
passion. Maybe they accidentally fell into photography
when they started photographing or capturing the pho-
tos oftheir own children. However, every journey to be
a photographer has a different taste. Ones you started
the journey, it’s important to feel your inspiration so you
don’t lose that joy in lightning and capturing.
Based in New Delhi, India, Bharat Arora Photography

Managing director of Bharat Arora Photography makes

They are the typical paradigm of photography such as
a realm professional photography. They are specialized

cover new ways of representing identities through pho-
tography. Mr. Bharat has worked with leading creative
talent and shot memorable images for prestigious clients
and top agencies from India. In the conversation with
Business Connect for our upcoming edition “The Brand
of the Year,” Mr. Bharat adds his apotheosis and para-
gon on Photography and his company.
1. Discuss your entrepreneurial journey and also
spread some light on the academic background?
Born in Delhi in 1976, after graduating and persuading
a diploma from “IIPC”, I gained experience as an Ad-
vertising Agency photographer. Before turning to a pro-
fessional photographer in 1994, I gained exposure to the
advertising agency. My working preferences are towards
the more traditional processes with a particular fondness
of large format black and white photography. My work
is deeply personal and is not driven by any commercial
agenda but is created and delivered from the heart.

2. How has he entered the field of photography?
Photography is the medium, which allows me to show my own point of view.Sometimes it helps me to understand the
world we live in, and to discover something new about ourselves. Photography is like a passion, sometimes it is like a
deeply concealed mystery; sometimes it gives me a chance to see what invisible, hidden deep in my dreams is. It is like

desire; always bringing joy. Photography as any other medium of art
evokes emotions in me, asks questions and forces me to reflect on the
world around me.
3. What kind of clients do you serve, any special mentions?
I have conducted photo shoots for some of the world’s most renowned
brands.I also didsome International shoots for the brands in Bangkok,
UK, Russia, and other countries. I am also associated with some of the
MNCs for all their photographic assignments over time.
Apart from that, I worked for all leading agencies and MNC’s in man-
ufacturing, Advertising, Architecture, Automobile, Construction Hos-
pital, Hotel, IndustryLifestyle,and Products.
4. Why is the right photography essential for a brand or campaign?
You only have one chance to make the first impression, to get noticed,
and then to be remembered. Using common, stock imagery that is
available to everyone does the exact opposite. By being original, you
can stand out more easily and create a distinctive and memorable ex-
perience.
5. What are the most important features of photography that help
define a brand or campaign?
“Originality” so that it belongs to your brand and no others. I believe
in originality in work and summit the best solution for clients. This
sets the whole tone because, with the right imagery, you can capture
attention, convey the brand’s message authentically, and grow credi-
bility with your audience.
6. How do you define a photography style guide?
Brands and the people that manage them or create marketing for them
need to understand the essential rules for communicating the brand
consistently. And of course, images are a critical element of this effort.
You must capture and deploy instantly recognizable brand images. A
style guide clearly outlines and defines the things that photographers
and marketers need to know, in order to maintain brand consistency,
and even for the things that must be considered at a photo shoot or
during postproduction.
7. How do you decide on an environment for images?
Everything is contextual; location decisions are based on the campaign
goals. And then we need to consider the larger brand guide-rails.
What’s important is that the composition always prevails. Otherwise,
we won’t get the attention our images need.
8. Is it important to match your photography style with your audi-
ence?
Yes, it is important to match the need for audiences. Photography tells
a story, but telling the right story isn’t easy. Capturing successful con-
tent begins with knowing your target audience. Every detail in the
frame such as light, tone, composition, color, and so on. It communi-
cates something to the audience and makes them feel a certain way.
So, these details must be intentional and built on an understanding
of your audience’s preferences and expectations. You simply cannot
achieve this using stock photography.
9. Who defines a brand’s photography style?
Most of the brands operate from a master brand guide. It codifies mar-
keting methods and approaches that are specific to their audiences in
order to create consistent communications
that build brand equity. For the most part,
the photography style will be an articulation
of the brand described. Within the master
guide, it may evolve over time as the brand
grows.
10. What sort of research is most benefi-
cial when working to define photo style?
You start with immersing in the brand. And
connecting that new knowledge with what
you already know is culture, and all about
the industries your client works within. I
try to Walk-in my customers’ shoes. I think
about their world and daily routines. Addi-
tionally, try to understand how to disrupt
that routine a little bit to get some attention
for your client with a strong and vibrant vi-
sual style.
11. Finally, what is the most important el-
ement in achieving great brand photogra-
phy?
We live in an age where our culture is more
and more visually focused. When pictures
define brands, Imagery must be clear and
concise to inspire your audience. Because
it makes them want to know more. As the
importance of images increases, the most
important key to the right photography is to
hire a competent, experienced, professional
photographer.

From 5 employees in 2017, Brand Provoke has currently grown into an organization with over 25 employees. Despite
the relatively smaller size, the company has bagged some of the biggest clients in the industry such as Lenskart, RRB
and Advant.
What is ‘Brand Provoke’?
Brand Provoke, is among the few ‘pure branding’ companies in India. We emphasize on ‘pure branding’ because brand-
ing in the country has often been confused with either designing, marketing or advertising. Brand Provoke, however, is
much more than that! While working on a project, we work as an ‘extension’ of our client’s workforce. We understand
their business to the core, services they offer and device a strategy that helps them raise their brand awareness, generate
more leads & increased ROI and enhance their overall brand image.
The company shares that its services are divided into three categories. What are these?
Our services are divided into three categories- Brand Strategy, Identity Design, and Digital Strategy.
Brand Strategy incorporates the ‘research phase’ which includes brand audit, brand positioning, naming (if required),
brand attributes, personality, etc. This allows us to create a solid strategic plan for our client’s brand, allowing us and
our clients to seamlessly transition to the ‘execution phase’ of a project.
W
ho doesn’t like to do business with
companies they are familiar with?
Your brand experience, from the
advertising message to the logo to
the way that your phones are answered, tells a lot
about your company. There is no denying that if
the branding has goodwill, it can make people feel
trusted in purchasing your products or services.
Business Connect in its newest edition is in con-
versation with Mr. Vishal Sengar/Founder, CEO
& Chief Brand Strategist at Brand Provoke Con-
sultants.
BRAND PROVOKE CONSULTANTS
Branding|Design|Digital Strategy
VISHAL SENGAR | Founder CEO
The ‘execution phase’ involves ‘Identity Design’ and
‘Digital Strategy’. Using the ‘brand strategy document’,
we devise brand guidelines. These guidelines define the
type of font, colors, graphics which are to be associated
with all the brand assets like logo, packaging, website,
brochures, visiting cards, email signatures etc. ensuring
total consistency across the brand.
During the ‘digital strategy’ phase, we focus on the UI/
UX design, web mobile app design as well as devel-
opment, email social media marketing, SEO/PPC and
much more.
How do you feel you are different from your competitors?
Almost all our competitors call themselves branding
firms, but in reality, either they are design companies or
marketing agencies. There is barely any focus on brand
strategy and the project effectively starts directly with
what we call the ‘execution phase’. The result, as expect-
ed, is ‘failed execution’, extremely inconsistent brand
assets and negligible ROI. A lot of our clients actually
come to us after unsuccessfully collaborating with these
so-called ‘branding agencies’.
Did you see any transformation happening for startups,
over the years in your field?
We have seen a lot of branding startups fail simply be-
cause they have little knowledge of branding and are
mostly masquerading themselves as ‘branding agencies’
when in reality they are either marketing or design agen-
cies. The biggest challenge for them is client retention as
their efforts fail to produce anything productive for their
clients. However, for ‘pure branding’ companies, we
have seen nothing but growth including ourselves. Pep-
si reportedly paid $1 million for its logo redesign. That
shows how serious they are about beating Coco-Cola as
the market leader in the soft drink segment.
Did everything come easy, or you have your story of struggle?
Of course not. One of the biggest challenges we have
faced and are still facing is market perception regarding
branding. A lot of our prospective clients ask us why they
should choose us when a freelancer can do the same work
for 10% of the cost we proposed. Fortunately, new age
India slowly though surely is understanding the impor-
tance of proper branding if they wish to stay ahead of
their competitors.
What kind of clients do you serve any special mentions?
We are currently serving over 20 clients and already have
some of the biggest names in the industry.
Some of our top customers include:
Lenskart- India’s #1 e-commerce app/website for an eye-
wear
Planova- Europe’s top supplier for shopfitting and shelv-
ing systems.
RRB Energy- One of India’s largest manufacturers of
renewable energy products. The founder was awarded
Padma Shri in 1991.
Advant Group- Among the biggest real estate companies
in India.
Do you still come back to work with the same zeal, like you
did when you started?
Yes, always. Maybe even more than when we first start-
ed. As with any other business, we have seen our share
of ups and downs and have come out stronger than ever,
whenever we have been put under the pump. Every day,
we learn something new and our ‘sky is the limit’ philos-
ophy encourages us and our workforce to always main-
tain that ‘zeal’ required for the success of the business.
How are you giving back to society?
Multiple ways. We encourage our employees to go green
and discourage the use of printouts, unless absolutely nec-
essary, within the organization. Apart from that, we make
regular donations to Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Center
(SGACC) and encourage people to adopt rather than shop
for pets. Most of our employees also use public transport
or carpool to help reduce air pollution in Delhi NCR.
Apart from work, what else do you like to spend your time
doing?
We have a few non-branding projects on the side but
Brand Provoke always remains our main focus. For in-
stance, we run the largest Game of Thrones fan page on
Facebook and are also partners inwww.wikiofthrones.
com - #1 fansite for A Song of Ice Fire universe.
How do you see the initiatives of the present government
with respect to your industry? Have they helped you in any
sense?
Yes. We are proud taxpayers of India and are happy with
the initiatives of the current government which have
considerably reduced tax evasion and allowed for more
transparency. Implementation of GST has helped us save
a lot when making purchases on behalf of the company.
What does the future hold for the company?
We are a bunch of highly optimistic individuals and the
future does look quite bright to us. Every day, we learn
something new and are amazed by the opportunities this
beautiful world has to offer.
Lastly, what message would you like to give to the readers
of the Business Connect Magazine?
Never give up on your dreams. Never think you have
learned enough. Aim for the stars and don’t be afraid of
failure. Treat your coworkers/employees with respect
and above all, do not take your clients for granted- Their
success means your success.

I
ndia’s electronics system design and manufacturing
(ESDM) sector is one of the fastest-growing sectors in
the economy, seeing rapid growth throughout the nation
and is anticipated to double to INR 1.48 lakh cr by 2025.
Thanks to profitable and innovative companies like Uttam
Bharat Electricals Pvt. Ltd, established in 1992 to design and
manufacture top-notch Power and Distribution Transformers
from 5 KVA to 15000 KVA, India stands as one of the largest in
terms of consumption.
Nestled in the pink city of Jaipur, Uttam Bharat came into
existence as a partnership firm under the dynamic leadership
of the Late Shri Purshottam Agrawal. Because of Mr Agrawal’s
unwavering commitment and ambition to make “UTTAM”
a product known for excellence and reach open skies, the
company, which began as a partnership firm for servicing
transformers, bloomed into one of the top corporations in
India’s transformer industry.
His dedication and determination led this modest factory to
blossom into one of the top corporations, operating from three
manufacturing units which have an annual capacity of more
than 1500 MVA per annum. Despite fluctuations in business,
they kept expanding. Eventually, they reached a group
turnover of over $150 million annually, with a population of
over 2,30,000 transformers and a total manufacturing area of
over 100,000 square feet.
“The secret to success in our business now, after more than 39
years, lies in upholding high standards of quality, timely after-
sale support, and prompt remedial and corrective action based
on customer feedback”
, apprised the visionary leader Tanmay Agrawal, Vice
President of Uttam Bharat.
The Solutions Offered and the Area of Expertise
Uttam Bharat is actively involved in the manufacturing
transformers ranging from 100KVA to 20 MVA up to 33KV
class, which includes –
1. Power Transformers
2. Energy Efficient Transformers as per BEE Star Rating /
BIS specifications
3. Inverter/ Converter Duty Step-up transformers having
multiple winding for Solar/ Wind and Hydro generation
application
4. Transformers for Compact Substations / Packaged
Substations
5. Hermetically Sealed type transformers with Corrugated
Radiator Panels
6. Furnace Duty Transformers up to 24 Pulse
7. Three Phase Distribution Transformers
8. Single Phase PAD Mount Distribution Transformers
9. Other Special Purpose Transformers
Changing Dynamics of Power Distribution in India
India’s power and distribution transformer market is expected
to grow at a CAGR of more than 4.56% between 2022 and 2027.
The transformer market had been significantly damaged by
the COVID-19 outbreak. The financial stability of electricity
distribution firms has been impacted by the strict measures
implemented during the pandemic. Small and medium-
sized manufacturers, who are having trouble managing their
operational and financial bases, make up most of this industry.
Several operations were stopped as a result.
The Indian distribution transformer market, however, is
anticipated to be driven by elements including rising industrial
energy demands, growth in the renewable energy sector, and
the construction of transmission and distribution networks.
Initiatives like the Integrated Power Development Scheme
(IPDS), Saubhagya, AG schemes, RDSS, etc., contributed
to raising the operational effectiveness of the discom in the
country and improving the electrification rate in both the
urban and rural sectors. Hence, it can be said that India’s TD
industry will experience rapid expansion due to the rise in
demand for reliable, reasonably priced power that is available
around the clock and the development of India’s transmission
network.
Power distribution sector issues and solutions Rural areas are
the main locations where transformer failure occurs, mostly
because of poor installation and maintenance, severe overload,
by-passing of safety systems, theft of oil and live parts, and
inadequate earthing, among other things. The problem can
only be solved at the utility level, where they should enhance
the upkeep practises and look into the cause.
Technology Landmarks that Give Uttam Bharat an
Edge
Transformers are the static machine that plays a significant
role in the country’s power infrastructure. The future growth
potential for the power and distribution sector is positive.
Digitalisation will make it easier and more effective to access
real-time information systems and remote management.
Additionally, digitisation will increase industry openness and
reduce theft. Managers can discover ill transformers thanks
to real-time monitoring, which also aids in crisis control
and prevention. The government’s increased emphasis on
digitalising the lines would foster the improvement of the
infrastructure, which is urgently required for this sector. With
the advent of new technology, the progression of new energy
efficiency levels and strict quality checks, they are expecting a
good turnaround for the company and the industry as a whole.
Corporate Ethos
At Uttam, they believe ‘Quality is never by accident; it is
always the result of high intention and sincere efforts.’ They
have always focused on quality, customer centricity, product
reliability, and sales support: One of the main reasons for their
success has been a focus on acceptance of new technology and
adaptability to changing environments.
“We give emphasis greatly to the value system and culture. We
put our customers and our employees at the forefront. One of
the core competencies of our company is customer-centricity and
continuous improvement. We deliver customer delight and trust
through innovative, hassle-free and high-quality experiences so
that our customers may focus on their business,”
shared Mr Tanmay Agrawal.
The Plan and the Roadmap for the Days Ahead
The company aims to strengthen its position in the
international market and establish itself as a major player
by taking into account China plus 1 and Europe plus 1. They
primarily target the United States, Canada, Africa, and a few
regions of Europe. In India, along with retail projects, they
are strongly trying to target large corporates in varied sectors,
including data centres, telecom, food processing, and various
other manufacturing sectors. Positioning itself among major
conglomerates has been made possible by their superior
products and after-sales support. The overall supply base of
more than 22,000 commercial households attests to the Uttam
Bharat steadfast position on the domestic and international
markets.
Environment Welfare Initiatives by Uttam Bharat
As part of their commitment to giving back to the environment,
the management team at Uttam Bharat decided to plant 1 tree
for every transformer supplied in 2022 (#Your Purchase Plants,
#One forOne). To kickstart this initiative, they have already
planted more than 1000 trees at Central Park in Jaipur. They
will be issuing a certificate to every customer as gratitude for
supporting the initiative.

  • 8. 14 www.businessconnectindia.in | Special Edition February 2024 INDIA www.businessconnectindia.in | Special Edition February 2024 INDIA 15 Interview with Megha Singh - General Manager - Eduplor Please brief us about your life journey and share your feedback on how you have come so far. Coming from Siwan, a small town in Bihar, I have seen different kinds of challenges girls have to face to avail of higher education and to grab job opportunities matching their caliber. Females in my state face numerous challenges in accessing school education and higher studies like deep-seated gender biases, socioeconomic constraints, and safety concerns which act as a barrier in their educational pursuits. I was no exception to those challenges and since the educational infrastructure and environment were not very conducive, I also faced challenges at the initial level. Fortunately, my parents were educated and very supportive and sent me to Patna for good schooling and then I shifted to Lucknow for my higher education and completed my MBA there. But, I feel bad for many of those classmates who were there with me, and could not get access to quality education like me because of certain constraints and thus I wish to empower women from the small towns and help them grow & explore their potential. I feel that the absence of female role models is also one of the circumstances and the girls there have no one to look upon. I wish that those girls who worked hard and got access to better education and jobs would also contribute somehow to bring some change in their areas. To address these challenges, a comprehensive approach is needed, involving improvements in infrastructure, changes in societal attitudes, and targeted efforts to provide equal opportunities for girls in small towns in Bihar and similar regions. Please enlighten us on how you build your team and how you empower women at Eduplor. Working with Eduplor has given me the freedom to build a women-empowered team resilient, and productive. As a women leader, I am honored to share my journey of empowering women and fostering a productive, women-led team. My story is rooted in a commitment to breaking barriers and creating opportunities for talented women. Recognizing the untapped potential of women in the workplace, I have been dedicated to building an inclusive and supportive environment that allows every team member to thrive. At Eduplor, we prioritize diversity and inclusion, recognizing that a diverse team leads to innovation and success. I have actively worked to ensure that women have equal access to leadership roles, mentoring programs, and skill development initiatives. Our company policies are designed to promote work-life balance, making it easier for women to pursue their professional aspirations while managing personal responsibilities. One key aspect of my leadership approach is creating a culture of collaboration and empowerment. I encourage open communication, ensuring that every team member’s voice is heard and valued. This has resulted in a more engaged and motivated team, where women in my team feel confident in expressing their ideas and contributing to the overall success and growth of the company. Moreover, I have instituted mentorship programs within the organization to provide guidance and support to women at various stages of their careers. By connecting experienced professionals with those who are newer to the workforce, we’ve cultivated a strong sense of community and shared learning. To address the specific needs of women in the workplace, we have implemented initiatives such as flexible work hours, remote work options, and family-friendly policies. This flexibility has not only increased job satisfaction among female employees but has also contributed to higher productivity levels. In terms of team dynamics, I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of a women-led team. The diverse perspectives, collaborative spirit, and empathy within the group have translated into creative problem-solving and successful project outcomes. Each team member brings a unique set of skills, and by harnessing these strengths, we have created a dynamic and high-performing environment. As a women leader, my commitment is not just to advance my career but to pave the way for others. By creating opportunities, breaking down barriers, and fostering a culture of empowerment, I believe we are contributing to a brighter and more inclusive future for women in the workplace. Together, we are proving that when women are given the support and opportunities they deserve, they can excel and lead with excellence. What are the methods used from your end to keep your employees motivated? What recreational approaches do you implement to maintain their enthusiasm? Recognizing and appreciating the hard work of my team members is a key aspect of maintaining motivation. Regular acknowledgment of accomplishments, both big and small, boosts morale and reinforces a culture of appreciation. I implement a recognition and reward system that highlights individual and collective achievements, fostering a sense of pride and accomplishment among the team. To encourage professional development, I invest in training programs and workshops that help employees enhance their skills and stay abreast of industry trends. This not only benefits the individual’s career growth but also contributes to the overall success of our projects. In terms of recreational approaches, I understand the importance of work- life balance. Periodic team-building activities, social events, and outings are organized to provide opportunities for relaxation and bonding among team members. These recreational activities contribute to a positive workplace culture and strengthen interpersonal relationships. Flexibility in work arrangements is another recreational approachthathelpsmaintainenthusiasm. Allowing for flexible work hours or remote work options demonstrates trust in the team and enables them to better balance their professional and personal lives. Moreover, I prioritize creating a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing workspace. An environment that fosters creativity and collaboration can significantly impact the team’s overall mood and motivation. This includes providing comfortable workstations, break areas, and incorporating elements of inspiration and motivation throughout the office space. I actively seek feedback from my team and use it to continuously improve our work environment. By involving employees in decision-making processes and considering their input, we create a sense of ownership and empowerment. By implementing these strategies, I aim to ensure that my team remains engaged, enthusiastic, and committed to achieving our collective goals. What are the other verticals of Eduplor? He competes for both the Argentina national team and FC Barcelona. He has five times been named FIFA world player of the year (2009–12 and 2015). Due to his tremendous goal scoring record and ability to dribble past opponents, he has frequently been referred to as Diego Maradona’s heir. In 2016, he declared his international retirement, however he later changed his mind. He led his nation to victory at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, for which he received the Golden Ball Award. With 26 world cup matches played, he set the record for most appearances in world cup tournaments. Early Life Lionel Messi was born on June 24, 1987, in Rosario, Argentina, into a working-class family. His father was a manager in a steel plant, while his mother was a homemaker. He began playing when he was young, and his talent was soon apparent. However, Messi’s growth hormone deficiency (GHD) was discovered when he was 11 years old. It jeopardised his ability to play professionally. Treatment for GHD would have cost at least $1,000 per month which was not affordable for the family. His club the Newells backed off later after promising for the help at first.Messi family attempted to set up a trial with Barcelona in September 2000. The board of directors hesitated since, at the time, foreign players being signed by European clubs at such a young age was rather unusual. Charly Rexach, the first team director, expressed an instant interest in signing him. Barcelona was given until December 14 to prove their commitment, and because Rexach was out of paper, he offered a contract on a paper napkin. Messi’s first season in Spain saw minimal action with the Infantiles due to a transfer conflict with Newell’s; as a foreign player, he was only permitted to participate in friendlies and the Catalan league. Without football, he struggled to fit in; always reserved by nature, at first, he was so quiet that his teammates mistook him for being mute. He experienced home sickness while staying in Barcelona with his father. Career Messi moved to Barcelona with his family when he was 13 years old and started playing for FC Barcelona’s under-14 squad. For the youth squad, he scored 21 goals in 14 games. He advanced fast through the higher-level teams, and at the age of 16, he made his unofficial FC Barcelona debut in a friendly game. During the 2004–05 season, Messi, who was 17 at the time, broke the record for being the youngest player and goal scorer in La Liga, Spain’s top football league. Despite standing only 5 feet 7 inches (1.7 metres) tall and weighing only 148 pounds (67 kg), he was a strong, balanced, and versatile player on the field. Messi was a natural passer with a left foot, pace, and the capacity to handle the ball nicely. He could effortlessly swerve through places that were heavily protected. His acquisition of Spanish citizenship in 2005 was met by conflicting reactions among Barcelona’s ardently Catalan supporters. Messi and Barcelona won the Champions League (the European club championship) the year after that. Messi’s talent developed significantly over the years, and by 2008, he was among the best players in the world, finishing second to Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo in the voting for the FIFA World Player of the Year award. As Barcelona successfully defended their La Liga title in 2009–10, Messi scored 34 goals in home matches and Messi received the Golden Shoe award for being Europe’s top scorer that year. After his historic season, which saw him win the 2012 world player of the year title, Messi became the first player to receive the honour four times. Messi led Barcelona to a La Liga and Copa del Rey championship in 2015–16 thanks to his 41 goals across all competitions. With 45 goals, he helped Barcelona win the La Liga and Copa del Rey titles once more in 2017–18. In December 2019, he won his career’s sixth Ballon d’Or. Messi’s sixth career title came in the 2020–21 Copa del Rey, which Barcelona won. Financial issues that were partially a result of La Liga rules made it challenging for him to re-sign with Barcelona when he became a free agent in 2021. He left the squad having achieved a number of goals, including being the league’s all-time leading scorer of goals (474). Later in 2021, he signed with Paris St.-Germain. He was a member of the Argentina team that won the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship, played for his nation in the 2006 World Cup, and scored twice in five games as Argentina won the gold medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Messi helped Argentina go to the 2010 World Cup quarterfinals, when it was eliminated by Germany for the second time in a row. At the 2014 World Cup, Messi put up an impressive performance, scoring four goals and nearly single-handedly advancing an offensively anaemic Argentina squad past the group stage and into the knockout rounds, where Argentina eventually progressed to the World Cup final for the first time in 24 years. Argentina lost that game 1-0 to Germany, but Messi was still considered the tournament’s top performer and was given the Golden Ball trophy. Messi declared his “retirement” from the national team in 2016 after Argentina lost in the Copa final, the team’s third straight finals defeat in a major competition. However, Messi’s brief “retirement” only lasted less than two months before he made the announcement that he was rejoining the Argentine team. He assisted an underdog Argentine team at the 2018 World Cup get to the round of 16, where they lost to eventual champion France in their opening game. Messi and Argentina won the World Cup on December 18, 2022, after defeating France 4-2 on penalties at Lusail Stadium following a 3-3 tie in extra time. Messi scored twice in the shootout and successfully converted his penalty. Messi won the Golden Ball for player of the tournament, becoming the first player to do it twice. With seven goals in seven games, Messi became the first player to score in each stage of a World Cup since the last-16 round was established in 1986. Personal Life He wed Roccuzzo on June 30, 2017, at Rosario’s Hotel City Center, a five-star hotel. Messi and his family practise Catholicism. They have 3 kids together. • 12. 22 www.businessconnectindia.in | Special Edition February 2024 INDIA www.businessconnectindia.in | Special Edition February 2024 INDIA 23 I n today’s modern cut-throat competition world, every person in business domain whether he/she is a Start-up business owner, CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of an MNC (Multi-National Companies), MD (Managing Director) in the corporate world, GM (General Manager) of a company, or an Editor of a magazine, everyone wants to be a leader. There are two distinct personalities “Manager” and “Leader”. A leader is the one who nurtures life skills like Effective Communication, Time Management, Stress Management, and Relationship Management which helpsdevelop holistically. An effective leader is a great listener. He/she must possess good character traits like Honesty, Competence, Candour (Impartial), Commitment, Integrity, Courage, Straightforwardness, and above all Imagination. Before we get ahead, Let us try to understand leadership definition and the leadership skills owned by true leaders. What is Leadership? Who are the leaders in society? Accordingtotheconventionaldefinitions,Leadershipisan interpersonal influence directed toward the achievement of a goal or goals. In the present context, leadership is defined as “a dynamic relationship”established on shared influence and common purpose betwixt leaders and collaborators in which both are advanced to higher levels of inspiration and moral development as they affect factual, intended change. When we look for the leaders in today’s dynamic world we look out for Narendra Damodar Modi (Indian Prime Minister), Donald Trump (US President), Vladimir Putin (Russian President), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Indian Cricketer), Azim Prem Ji (Chairman of Wipro Limited), Mukesh Ambani (MD and Chairman of Reliance Industries), Tim Cook (CEO of Apple), Mary Barra (CEO of General Motors Company) are to name a few. So what is that make them different from others? SUCCESSFUL LEADER Mahendra Singh Dhoni (or ‘Mahi’), One of the best captains in Indian Cricket history, is the man who stood out from the rest with his potential, leadership, and consistency. The distinct leadership’s qualities in him are his ability to remain cool, his act of staying grounded, always leading from the front, encouraging others to perform and sharing the credits among players. Leadership versus Management In conceptualizing leadership, it is very important to understand how it differs from management. In any organization, both management and leadership co- exist. It is of prime importance to understand their relationship and their distinctiveness. • Management is the process of setting and achieving the goals of the institution through the functions planning, organizing, directing (or leading), and controlling. It deals more with carrying out the organization’s goals and maintaining equilibrium. • In contrast, leadershipis concerned with the interpersonal aspects of the head of the company, whereas designing, organizing, and managing deal with the administrative aspects. Leadership deals with development, inspiration, motivation, and influence. The key point in differentiating between leadership and management is the idea that employees or staffs of the unit willingly follow leaders because they want to, not because they have to. Leaders may not acquire the formal power to recognize the achievement or give a reward. However, subordinates give the leader power by complying with what he or she requests. Leadership is thus a very significant psychological institution. Styles of Leadership Leadership style is the individual’s behaviour and approach of providing direction, putting into action plans, and motivating people. There are three different styles of leadership • Authoritarian (Autocratic), • Participative (Democratic) and • Laissez-faire (Delegative or free reign) Authoritarian (Autocratic) This leader tells his/ her subordinates what he/ she wants to be done and how he/she wants it done, without getting the advice from them. In this case, it is difficult for subordinates to contribute or develop. Some of the appropriate conditions to use this style are, when you have all the information to solve the problem, you are short on time, and your team members are well motivated. Example: Adolf Hitler & Benito Mussolini Participative (Democratic) This leader includes one or more team members in the decision-making process in determining what to do and “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life-think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.” Swami Vivekananda Leadership How to Become a Highly how to do it. However, the leader maintains the final decision-making authority. This is normally used when you have some of the information, and your employees have some of it. This allows your colleagues to be part of the team and allows you to make a better decision. This style leads to the most productive teams and decisions. Example: Ratan Tata (TATA group) Laissez-faire (‘delegative or free reign’)-Based on trust In this style, the leaderpermits the employees to make the decisions. However, he/she is still responsible for the decisions that are made. This is used when employees are able to examine the situation and decides what needs to be done and how to do it. Example: Mahatma Gandhi Have you ever noticed how you approach people, clients, customers, your colleagues? The differences in the way people approach others indicate whether the leader is a “positive leader” or a “negativeone”. Inculcating the Leadership qualities, understanding human nature, and exercising the different Leadership styleswill help in better communication, coordination, supervision, and implementation of business plans and ultimately will shape You (Young Entrepreneurs)to be among the Top leaders of tomorrow’s business world. 22 www.businessconnectindia.in | Special Edition February 2024 INDIA www.businessconnectindia.in | Special Edition February 2024 INDIA 23

Like every MBA grad, I was looking for a lucrative corporate job. And I bagged one with a company in Kolkata that was into reinsurance broking and financial consultancy and joined it against the long- standing tradition of business in my family. That was the time I learned the lesson the hard way. I realized that working under others would rather clip my wings. I was a highly aspiring young chap with dreams to make it big. So I quit the job and looked for an opportunity to start a business. It was around 1999 - 2000, I came in contact with a company in Hyderabad. They were making websites for corporations. At that time having an email used to be a big thing. I started selling websites. Well, it isn’t just about ping pong tables and free snacks (although those can be nice perks!). Basically, a thriving workplace is all about fostering an environment that prioritizes the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of its employees. And we all know how happy and content employees can create a way to improve productivity, engagement, and retention. 1. Establish Work-Life Balance: First, make sure to provide flexible work hours for your team members. To add a cherry on top of it, offer remote work options, flexible schedules, and generous paid time off to allow employees to control their time and meet their personal needs. 2. Disconnect and recharge: If you wish to see your business thrive, just allow your employees to set boundaries and truly disconnect after work hours. This could involve setting expectations for email response times and discouraging late-night communication. Moreover, try to provide access to mental health resources and initiatives like mindfulness programs or Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) to help them process their emotions in an efficient way while reducing their stress. 3. Prioritize Physical Health and Wellness: Investing in an ergonomic workplace could do wonders to your goal. You need to invest in comfortable furniture, adjustable workstations, and proper lighting to prevent physical discomfort and injuries. A customer well taken care of is worth much more than the money spent on advertising. Custom- ers are not buying products and ser- vices these days, rather they are look- ing for experiences delivered to them via the products and services. For a Service Company like Aforeserve, these principles are like a lighthouse. Any Time Is A Good Time To Start A Company - Start-Ups Today, IT systems are highly open and very few compo- nents of the entire IT landscape are proprietary. So, over the years, from a few large brands, the IT Lifecycle ser- vices market has become highly fragmented and only about 30% of the total market is occupied by the large players. The rest of the market comprises small and medi- um-sized service providers (Start-ups) and at the base of this pyramid are thousands of service providers who are small, localized and even client-specific. This scenario gives rise to a large number of start-ups as the entry barriers are low and this is positive for the start- up ecosystem. However, this also provides a challenge for the customers to get reliable services at an affordable cost. Story Of Struggle Starting and establishing any business has challenges and more so, in case of IT Lifecycle services which is a crowd- ed market space. They started with few customers and created a name for themselves with superior service expe- rience for their customers. Backed up by robust systems, frameworks, and processes and gradually over a period of 5 years acquired a large set of customers across all seg- ments, specifically BFSI and Corporates. One must take risks to drive growth. While the appetite for risk may vary as it can adversely impact the enterprise, it is a must to be successful. So, a balanced approach helps and the onus lies with the leader to do this. Robust And Growing List Of Clients They address the entire market, broadly segmented into four categories covering the Businesses & End-customers that consume IT services and the technology providers or System Integrators that drive them. There are numerous types of clients they serve:- 1. OEMs: HP, Acer, Lenovo, NCR, UFO Movies, Tata Sky, Jio, and more 2. ODMs: ECS, NSI, ECS, Inventec, Pegatron, and more 3. SI’s: HP, IBM, HCL, Wipro, DD, NCR, and more 4. End Customers: multiple clients in segments like BFSI, Govt, PSU, and Corporates. Creating market share in a crowded and fragmented market for IT Infra Services is a challenge for any service provider and they have addressed this by differentiating themselves through Customer Focus coupled with agil- ity, flexibility, and responsiveness. Today, CSAT (Cus- tomer Satisfaction) is a key performance metric across the Company and there is a huge emphasis on the Quality of Service. Innovations And Cutting Edge Technology Chip level repairs of complex components like mother- boards of latest generation Servers, laptops and desktops are being done at global class repair facilities, equipped with the tools and machines and the trained engineers, achieving the service standards required by the Global brands. Apart from the standard offerings of AMC/FMS services, they have developed robust frameworks and systems for specialized service offerings like IMS. There are other spe- cialized and differentiated offerings like servicing the IT equipment which is beyond their End-of-Life by the re- spective OEMs. This helps them to grow customer base and gives strong reasons to customers to avail their services. The custom- ers can optimize their IT investments and sweat their IT assets more than they would otherwise. Innovations are a must for the IT sector and more so to- day, in the age of Industry 4.0. Innovations like Automa- tion in IT infra services delivery and so-called Left-Shift enables customers to optimize and reduce the costs of IT Infrastructure Management, even as the Infrastructure grows along with business growth. The Life Of A CEO Apart from playing the role of CEO in Aforeserve.Com Limited, Mr. Rajeev Asija loves adventure travel and he has been indulging in this for several years. He under- takes at least one such travel every year and has had the opportunity to visit several really exotic places across the world that include the jungles of Africa, the icebergs and the volcanoes of Iceland, the serene and majestic beauty of Newzealand experienced thru a 3500Kms road trip of the North and South Islands, Western coast of USA and last but not the least the Himalayan mountain ranges in the North covering the remote interiors of Ladakh Region. Apart from such travels, he enjoys reading. This includes fiction as well as non-fiction. Non-fiction would typical- ly include some great books by successful entrepreneurs and management gurus as well as some books that have European history as their backdrops. Path Towards Achievements, Millstones, And Future Of The Company They achieved the best in their industry as they have grown at a CAGR of 34% over the last 5 years and the outlook for growth looks healthy. They also have established a robust pan-India footprint with presence across all States. Addi- tionally, they have got accolades in the form of ‘Company of the Year’ and ‘Brand of the Year’ from leading market publications over the last 3 years. Successful Entrepreneurs never underestimate the significance of sound sleep. They wish to be focused, emotionally balanced, and quick-witted in all areas of their business. In this article, I have tried to explore about sleep, its importance for an Entrepreneur and have suggested a few important tips for having a sound solid deep sleep which is very important for staying calm and focus at their work. Should sleeping hours be deducted for being productive? Like all people in the world, Entrepreneurs do have to take care of things besides their routine work. So balancing both their official obligations and their business, project, etc. make them a very busy personality. This pattern is found common in Entrepreneur or any professional in today’s fast-moving world where the sleeping habits and patterns of quantity and quality are affected by a variety of cultural, behavioral, social, pathophysiological, psychological, and environmental influences. According to a new study, those who are early birds (early sleepers and risers) are less prone to develop stress, heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, Obesity, and stroke. Early birds are biologically programmed, Stable Circadian rhythms controlled by body’s biological clocks, to be less susceptible to depression and schizophrenia and might just be happier than night owls (late sleepers and late risers). Our ancestors used to follow a fixed pattern to have quality sleep and probably this was the key for their healthy physical and mental well-being. An inspirational quote of Benjamin Franklin, (1706-1790), one of the famous figures of American History quotes about the value of early rising and health Sun is the ultimate source of energy. Recent studies have pointed out that the exposure to sunlight or bright indoor lights during the morning hour’s helps in having sleep better at night. The later you wake-up after sunrise the slothful and lethargic you will be. The closer you wake up to sunrise, preferably before sunrise it will make you active and zest- ful. It can be observed in the dynamism of animals, birds, and most of the elders in the family as they all wake up either at the stroke of sunrise or earlier than that. What is Sleep? Sleep is a complex and dynamic process which is the major part of our daily routine. We spend about one-third of the day in sleep. Quality sleep and getting a sufficient amount of it at the right times is as essential to survival as food “Scholars and thinkers wake up early in the morning and contemplate. Also, those who desire wealth wake up early and get to work”. Rigveda (About 1000 B.C.) Early Rising is Exceptional Having Adequate Sleep is Better “Early to Bed and Early to Rise Makes a man Healthy, Wealthy and wise”. and water. Without sleep, the pathways in our brain are not formed or maintained which allow us to learn and create new memories, and it’s tougher to concentrate and respond swiftly. Sleep is of paramount importance to a number of brain functions, like how nerve cells (neurons) communicate with each other. In fact, our brain and body remain sub- stantially active while we sleep properly. Recent findings suggest that sleep plays a housekeeping role that elim- inates toxins in our brain that is build up while we are awake. Everybody requires sleep, but its biological purpose remains a mystery. Sleep affects altogether every type of human body tissue and system right from the brain, heart, stomach, and lungs to the central nervous system, immune system, respiratory system, digestive system, cardiovascular system, and Endocrine system. Is Sleep beneficial? Infants generally require about 16-18 hours a day, while teenagers (13-18 years old) require about 9 hours on av- erage. For most adults(above 18 years old), 7 to 8 hours a night appears to be the substantial amount of sleep, al- though some people may require as few as 5 hours or as long as 10 hours of sleep each day. For example, • The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, a brilliant statesman has gained the ability to have a sound deep sleep but only for 3.5 hours. • The Ex-Vice President of Apple’s Retail Angela Ahrendts is an early bird and wakes up before the sun rises. Her sleeping hours never used to exceed more than 6 hours a night. • The 45th President of United States, Donald Trump, a Republican sleeps for 4-5 hours a night only. • Tips for Getting a Good Night’s Sleep • Getting sufficient sleep is good for health. Here, I am going to discuss a few tips to improve your sleep • It’s very important to Set a schedule and go to bed and wake up at the same time each day. • Before going to bed nearly a few hours before, Exer- cise about 20 to 30 minutes a day. • Before going to bed or late in the day try to avoid caffeine or nicotine and alcoholic drinks • Try a warm bath, reading, or another relaxing routine before going to bed. • Avoid bright lights and loud sounds, keep the room at a comfortable temperature and don’t watch Televi- sion or have a computer in your bedroom to create a room for sound sleep. • If you are unable to go for sleep, do something else, like reading or listening to music, until you feel tired. Avoid lying in bed awake. • Visit a clinician for any problem in sleeping or for un- usual tiredness feeling during the day. Most sleep disorders are effectively curable. Conclusion Sound sleep is one of the pillars of our health system along with good nutrition and regular physical exercise. Relaxation techniques like Meditation, yoga, and music have all proved effective for stress and sleep disorders. Successful entrepreneurs make it a priority to get suffi- cient sleep every night for self-control and being focused at their work. In the conversation with Business Connect for our upcoming edition “The Brand of the Year,” Mr. Bharat adds his apotheosis and para- gon on Photography and his company. 1. Discuss your entrepreneurial journey and also spread some light on the academic background? Born in Delhi in 1976, after graduating and persuading a diploma from “IIPC”, I gained experience as an Ad- vertising Agency photographer. Before turning to a pro- fessional photographer in 1994, I gained exposure to the advertising agency. My working preferences are towards the more traditional processes with a particular fondness of large format black and white photography. My work is deeply personal and is not driven by any commercial agenda but is created and delivered from the heart. A Global Pioneer in Innovative Commercial Photography BHARAT ARORA PHOTOGRAPHY 2. How has he entered the field of photography? Photography is the medium, which allows me to show my own point of view.Sometimes it helps me to understand the world we live in, and to discover something new about ourselves. Photography is like a passion, sometimes it is like a deeply concealed mystery; sometimes it gives me a chance to see what invisible, hidden deep in my dreams is. It is like Sugandh Bahl | Business Connect desire; always bringing joy. Photography as any other medium of art evokes emotions in me, asks questions and forces me to reflect on the world around me. 3. What kind of clients do you serve, any special mentions? I have conducted photo shoots for some of the world’s most renowned brands.I also didsome International shoots for the brands in Bangkok, UK, Russia, and other countries. I am also associated with some of the MNCs for all their photographic assignments over time. Apart from that, I worked for all leading agencies and MNC’s in man- ufacturing, Advertising, Architecture, Automobile, Construction Hos- pital, Hotel, IndustryLifestyle, and Products. 4. Why is the right photography essential for a brand or campaign? You only have one chance to make the first impression, to get noticed, and then to be remembered. Using common, stock imagery that is available to everyone does the exact opposite. By being original, you can stand out more easily and create a distinctive and memorable ex- perience. 5. What are the most important features of photography that help define a brand or campaign? “Originality” so that it belongs to your brand and no others. I believe in originality in work and summit the best solution for clients. This sets the whole tone because, with the right imagery, you can capture attention, convey the brand’s message authentically, and grow credi- bility with your audience. 6. How do you define a photography style guide? Brands and the people that manage them or create marketing for them need to understand the essential rules for communicating the brand consistently. And of course, images are a critical element of this effort. You must capture and deploy instantly recognizable brand images. A style guide clearly outlines and defines the things that photographers and marketers need to know, in order to maintain brand consistency, and even for the things that must be considered at a photo shoot or during postproduction. 7. How do you decide on an environment for images? Everything is contextual; location decisions are based on the campaign goals. And then we need to consider the larger brand guide-rails. What’s important is that the composition always prevails. Otherwise, we won’t get the attention our images need. 8. Is it important to match your photography style with your audi- ence? Yes, it is important to match the need for audiences. Photography tells a story, but telling the right story isn’t easy. Capturing successful con- tent begins with knowing your target audience. Every detail in the frame such as light, tone, composition, color, and so on. It communi- cates something to the audience and makes them feel a certain way. So, these details must be intentional and built on an understanding of your audience’s preferences and expectations. You simply cannot achieve this using stock photography. 9. Who defines a brand’s photography style? Most of the brands operate from a master brand guide. It codifies mar- keting methods and approaches that are specific to their audiences in order to create consistent communications that build brand equity. For the most part, the photography style will be an articulation of the brand described. Within the master guide, it may evolve over time as the brand grows. 10. What sort of research is most benefi- cial when working to define photo style? You start with immersing in the brand. And connecting that new knowledge with what you already know is culture, and all about the industries your client works within. I try to Walk-in my customers’ shoes. I think about their world and daily routines. Addi- tionally, try to understand how to disrupt that routine a little bit to get some attention for your client with a strong and vibrant vi- sual style. 11. Finally, what is the most important el- ement in achieving great brand photogra- phy? We live in an age where our culture is more and more visually focused. When pictures define brands, Imagery must be clear and concise to inspire your audience. Because it makes them want to know more. As the importance of images increases, the most important key to the right photography is to hire a competent, experienced, professional photographer.

  • 23. 44 www.businessconnectindia.in | Special Edition February 2024 INDIA www.businessconnectindia.in | Special Edition February 2024 INDIA 45 From 5 employees in 2017, Brand Provoke has currently grown into an organization with over 25 employees. Despite the relatively smaller size, the company has bagged some of the biggest clients in the industry such as Lenskart, RRB and Advant. What is ‘Brand Provoke’? Brand Provoke, is among the few ‘pure branding’ companies in India. We emphasize on ‘pure branding’ because brand- ing in the country has often been confused with either designing, marketing or advertising. Brand Provoke, however, is much more than that! While working on a project, we work as an ‘extension’ of our client’s workforce. We understand their business to the core, services they offer and device a strategy that helps them raise their brand awareness, generate more leads & increased ROI and enhance their overall brand image. The company shares that its services are divided into three categories. What are these? Our services are divided into three categories- Brand Strategy, Identity Design, and Digital Strategy. Brand Strategy incorporates the ‘research phase’ which includes brand audit, brand positioning, naming (if required), brand attributes, personality, etc. This allows us to create a solid strategic plan for our client’s brand, allowing us and our clients to seamlessly transition to the ‘execution phase’ of a project. W ho doesn’t like to do business with companies they are familiar with? Your brand experience, from the advertising message to the logo to the way that your phones are answered, tells a lot about your company. There is no denying that if the branding has goodwill, it can make people feel trusted in purchasing your products or services. Business Connect in its newest edition is in con- versation with Mr. Vishal Sengar/Founder, CEO & Chief Brand Strategist at Brand Provoke Con- sultants. BRAND PROVOKE CONSULTANTS Branding|Design|Digital Strategy VISHAL SENGAR | Founder CEO The ‘execution phase’ involves ‘Identity Design’ and ‘Digital Strategy’. Using the ‘brand strategy document’, we devise brand guidelines. These guidelines define the type of font, colors, graphics which are to be associated with all the brand assets like logo, packaging, website, brochures, visiting cards, email signatures etc. ensuring total consistency across the brand. During the ‘digital strategy’ phase, we focus on the UI/ UX design, web mobile app design as well as devel- opment, email social media marketing, SEO/PPC and much more. How do you feel you are different from your competitors? Almost all our competitors call themselves branding firms, but in reality, either they are design companies or marketing agencies. There is barely any focus on brand strategy and the project effectively starts directly with what we call the ‘execution phase’. The result, as expect- ed, is ‘failed execution’, extremely inconsistent brand assets and negligible ROI. A lot of our clients actually come to us after unsuccessfully collaborating with these so-called ‘branding agencies’. Did you see any transformation happening for startups, over the years in your field? We have seen a lot of branding startups fail simply be- cause they have little knowledge of branding and are mostly masquerading themselves as ‘branding agencies’ when in reality they are either marketing or design agen- cies. The biggest challenge for them is client retention as their efforts fail to produce anything productive for their clients. However, for ‘pure branding’ companies, we have seen nothing but growth including ourselves. Pep- si reportedly paid $1 million for its logo redesign. That shows how serious they are about beating Coco-Cola as the market leader in the soft drink segment. Did everything come easy, or you have your story of struggle? Of course not. One of the biggest challenges we have faced and are still facing is market perception regarding branding. A lot of our prospective clients ask us why they should choose us when a freelancer can do the same work for 10% of the cost we proposed. Fortunately, new age India slowly though surely is understanding the impor- tance of proper branding if they wish to stay ahead of their competitors. What kind of clients do you serve any special mentions? We are currently serving over 20 clients and already have some of the biggest names in the industry. Some of our top customers include: Lenskart- India’s #1 e-commerce app/website for an eye- wear Planova- Europe’s top supplier for shopfitting and shelv- ing systems. RRB Energy- One of India’s largest manufacturers of renewable energy products. The founder was awarded Padma Shri in 1991. Advant Group- Among the biggest real estate companies in India. Do you still come back to work with the same zeal, like you did when you started? Yes, always. Maybe even more than when we first start- ed. As with any other business, we have seen our share of ups and downs and have come out stronger than ever, whenever we have been put under the pump. Every day, we learn something new and our ‘sky is the limit’ philos- ophy encourages us and our workforce to always main- tain that ‘zeal’ required for the success of the business. How are you giving back to society? Multiple ways. We encourage our employees to go green and discourage the use of printouts, unless absolutely nec- essary, within the organization. Apart from that, we make regular donations to Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Center (SGACC) and encourage people to adopt rather than shop for pets. Most of our employees also use public transport or carpool to help reduce air pollution in Delhi NCR. Apart from work, what else do you like to spend your time doing? We have a few non-branding projects on the side but Brand Provoke always remains our main focus. For in- stance, we run the largest Game of Thrones fan page on Facebook and are also partners inwww.wikiofthrones. com - #1 fansite for A Song of Ice Fire universe. How do you see the initiatives of the present government with respect to your industry? Have they helped you in any sense? Yes. We are proud taxpayers of India and are happy with the initiatives of the current government which have considerably reduced tax evasion and allowed for more transparency. Implementation of GST has helped us save a lot when making purchases on behalf of the company. What does the future hold for the company? We are a bunch of highly optimistic individuals and the future does look quite bright to us. Every day, we learn something new and are amazed by the opportunities this beautiful world has to offer. Lastly, what message would you like to give to the readers of the Business Connect Magazine? Never give up on your dreams. Never think you have learned enough. Aim for the stars and don’t be afraid of failure. Treat your coworkers/employees with respect and above all, do not take your clients for granted- Their success means your success.

Thanks to profitable and innovative companies like Uttam Bharat Electricals Pvt. Ltd, established in 1992 to design and manufacture top-notch Power and Distribution Transformers from 5 KVA to 15000 KVA, India stands as one of the largest in terms of consumption. Nestled in the pink city of Jaipur, Uttam Bharat came into existence as a partnership firm under the dynamic leadership of the Late Shri Purshottam Agrawal. Because of Mr Agrawal’s unwavering commitment and ambition to make “UTTAM” a product known for excellence and reach open skies, the company, which began as a partnership firm for servicing transformers, bloomed into one of the top corporations in India’s transformer industry. His dedication and determination led this modest factory to blossom into one of the top corporations, operating from three manufacturing units which have an annual capacity of more than 1500 MVA per annum. Despite fluctuations in business, they kept expanding. Eventually, they reached a group turnover of over $150 million annually, with a population of over 2,30,000 transformers and a total manufacturing area of over 100,000 square feet. “The secret to success in our business now, after more than 39 years, lies in upholding high standards of quality, timely after- sale support, and prompt remedial and corrective action based on customer feedback” , apprised the visionary leader Tanmay Agrawal, Vice President of Uttam Bharat. The Solutions Offered and the Area of Expertise Uttam Bharat is actively involved in the manufacturing transformers ranging from 100KVA to 20 MVA up to 33KV class, which includes – 1. Other Special Purpose Transformers Changing Dynamics of Power Distribution in India India’s power and distribution transformer market is expected to grow at a CAGR of more than 4.56% between 2022 and 2027. The transformer market had been significantly damaged by the COVID-19 outbreak. The financial stability of electricity distribution firms has been impacted by the strict measures implemented during the pandemic. Small and medium- sized manufacturers, who are having trouble managing their operational and financial bases, make up most of this industry. Several operations were stopped as a result. The Indian distribution transformer market, however, is anticipated to be driven by elements including rising industrial energy demands, growth in the renewable energy sector, and the construction of transmission and distribution networks. Initiatives like the Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS), Saubhagya, AG schemes, RDSS, etc., contributed to raising the operational effectiveness of the discom in the country and improving the electrification rate in both the urban and rural sectors. Hence, it can be said that India’s TD industry will experience rapid expansion due to the rise in demand for reliable, reasonably priced power that is available around the clock and the development of India’s transmission network. Power distribution sector issues and solutions Rural areas are the main locations where transformer failure occurs, mostly because of poor installation and maintenance, severe overload, by-passing of safety systems, theft of oil and live parts, and inadequate earthing, among other things. The problem can only be solved at the utility level, where they should enhance the upkeep practises and look into the cause. Technology Landmarks that Give Uttam Bharat an Edge Transformers are the static machine that plays a significant role in the country’s power infrastructure. The future growth potential for the power and distribution sector is positive. Digitalisation will make it easier and more effective to access real-time information systems and remote management. Additionally, digitisation will increase industry openness and reduce theft. Managers can discover ill transformers thanks to real-time monitoring, which also aids in crisis control and prevention. The government’s increased emphasis on digitalising the lines would foster the improvement of the infrastructure, which is urgently required for this sector. With the advent of new technology, the progression of new energy efficiency levels and strict quality checks, they are expecting a good turnaround for the company and the industry as a whole. Corporate Ethos At Uttam, they believe ‘Quality is never by accident; it is always the result of high intention and sincere efforts.’ They have always focused on quality, customer centricity, product reliability, and sales support: One of the main reasons for their success has been a focus on acceptance of new technology and adaptability to changing environments. “We give emphasis greatly to the value system and culture. We put our customers and our employees at the forefront. One of the core competencies of our company is customer-centricity and continuous improvement. We deliver customer delight and trust through innovative, hassle-free and high-quality experiences so that our customers may focus on their business,” shared Mr Tanmay Agrawal. The Plan and the Roadmap for the Days Ahead The company aims to strengthen its position in the international market and establish itself as a major player by taking into account China plus 1 and Europe plus 1. They primarily target the United States, Canada, Africa, and a few regions of Europe. In India, along with retail projects, they are strongly trying to target large corporates in varied sectors, including data centres, telecom, food processing, and various other manufacturing sectors.
