4. Teens often forget how people may feel when
they say something that hurts. As adults we
need to model how to, and use correct words in TE

remarks that may sound like “Yo that’s Fat!”
“That’s so Gay!” these:
“You’re So White!”
“You’re Stupid!”
“You’re a Jerk!”
“You’re Retarded!”
“That’s my Nigga!”
5. I know that people use what we call slang words on a
everyday basis, but we need to think about what we say and
how we say it.
I realize that people just use these words to express
certain things for an example:
• Trying on outfits
• How a person may act or feel
• How a person may answer a question, or
• The words that you use to express someone to be a friend
This don’t make it okay to use these words.
Watching what we say in the time of emotional flair
up’s can avoid serious damage to friendships and
relationships.
• Parents
• Teachers
• With your best friend, or
• Someone your dating
6. Message to the Parents and Teachers:
Remind your child/children, and students that words can
be harmful to their peers and can lead down the road to:
“Depression ≈ Loneliness ≈ Regrets ≈ and Suicide”
