This lesson plan is for a pre-k bilingual class and focuses on developing a sense of belonging. Over the course of a week, students will read, write, draw and share stories about their family, friends, and home. They will also learn about the importance of taking care of the environment. 2. Young children must develop a sense of belonging. In this lesson, that can be spread out to a week long, they will: read, write, draw and share stories about their family, their friends, and their home. They will also become aware about the importance of taking care of mother earth.

8. Using paper, glue, magazines and scissors do a collage representing your family. Take your time and have fun (play some kids music in the background) We will have a wall of fame to show case our family’s picture.
