As material manager I am responsible for keeping all ofour machines running
and maintained.
This includes working with procurementto keep minmax inventory levels , cycle
counting, vendor interactions, pricing and negotiations.
I generate usage reports, new designengineering change forms, spending and
costreports, costreductionthrough multiple vendor bids.
Raw material managementresponsibilitiesinclude vendor site visits and audits,
specificationaudits,cycle counts and annual planning and usage budgets.
Weekly meeting with CEO/CFO with analysis updates and requests.
Department Management/ sales , 2013-present
Silicondepartmentmanagementresponsibilities include, 14 operators and 2
supervisors reportdirectly to me. Along with material managementI will
generate monthly productiontotals, sales totals, costtotals, profitmargin,
yields. All daily operations decisions will be made by me and I reportto the
director ofsiliconoperations.
Sales- all siliconP/O will go through me and I will make productionplanand
budgetbi-annually, generate the sales orders, planand track until shipped.
Planning - I am responsible for all productionplanning and scheduling
for siliconoperations. This is basedoncustomer usage and custom delivery plan.
I will work closly with customers and be flexible to keep them up and running.

Operations - I am a crystal grower first and foremost, I am fully trained in
advanced siliconCZ growth and process engineering.
Engineering- Responsible for newcustomer specs, ISO audits, machine
programming , technical writing and work instructions.
Supervisory - I Have overseensmall shifts and large department sizes. Handling
all personnel issues planning and scheduling.
My Story
I am a Crystal grower at
heart, but have beenin
manufacturing since 94’ at
Unisil, i was hired as machine
operator in the semiconductor
industry. In no time I became a
lead and then supervisor. After a
few years i was moved to the
engineering departmentand
became the scheduler and
planner.
In 2001 I was recruited
to WestCoast Quartz as a start up
for their siliconbusiness. Iwent
in as a senior process engineer,
then supervisor,manager,
engineer and now back as
Materials
Manager/Manager/Sales/Plannin
g… I do it all , in other words.
NowI am ready to move
on , hopefully for another small
start up. I am hoping your
