Synchronous Motor– IPM Structure
EDM vs IM
IM has secondary derivative in the rotor. The
difference of induced magnetic field and rotor
speed by stator coil generates the voltage and
flows the current at secondary derivative, and
generates the torque.
EDM revolving magnetic field at stator coil
attracts and repel the rotor. The rotor turns at
synchronous speed. No electrical loss were
generated at the rotor. Therefore the reduction
of total motor loss improves the motor
efficiency. IPM motor able to get the benefit of
increasing torque effects.
