                                The Role of the Principal
The principal’s role for ensuring the organizational chart for implementing
technology is implemented can have the most influence with the recruitment and
securing of “highly qualified” staff members. The interview process should

include those questions that showcase the tech credentials of teaching
candidates. Tech-savvy faculty can be the “spark that ignites a fire” spreading
knowledge, desire, confidence, and increasing tech proficiency levels. The
principal will serve as a liason between the campus and their implementation of
the tech goals and central admin. Ideas, resources, and funding opportunites
learned through administrative professional development will be shared among
district campuses. The principal communicates with faculty the vision for
technology within the school. CWT (classroom walk throughs) will occur at least
1x per month with data input for a snapshot into the tech practices that are
regularly observed in classroom. Recruit community input and involvement to
fund tech best practices and provide the related training for personnel
responsible for implementing. Celebrate the baby steps of technology
immigrants and provide on-going professional development opportunities.
