Boxing is a sport where two athletes fight each other in a roped-off square ring. Boxers wear gloves and protective headgear to punch each other's heads and bodies over multiple three-minute rounds with breaks in between. Judges and a referee score points for valid punches and determine the winner by points or knockout. There are regulations around legal punches and fighters cannot kick, headbutt, or use objects other than gloves. Some of the most famous boxers of all time include Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and Evander Holyfield.

4.  The ring is square with posts in each corner
which are connected by four ropes.
 Boxers wear special boots and protection.
 The fighters wear gloves, a protective
headguard, and a mouthpiece, or gum shield, to
protect their teeth. They must punch each other

each.
 At the end of each round each boxer goes back
to his corner to rest for one minute.

6. Referee and judges
 Each valid punch scores one point. There are five
judges.
 There is a referee who checks that the boxers
obey the rules.

7. The end of the fight
 A fighter wins if he has more points than his
opponent at the end of the fight, or if he knocks
him out.
 The referee can stop the fight at any time if he
thinks one boxer is not able to continue.

8. Regulation. Boxers can’t:
 Hit the neck or behind the head.
 Kick the opponent.
 Give it back to the opponent.
 Hit below the belt.
 Intentional butting.
 Make use of objects other than statutory gloves.
