2. AUDIO
In terms of audio, there are
several audio tracks available
so we can mount sound. Audio
2 acts as the track for the
song, and audio 3 acts as a
track for the talking at the
beginning of the video. The
rest of the videos are muted.
The song is cut up into sectors
of where the lyrics are marked
so it makes it easier to add
the video on top in sync.

4. ADDING TINTS

To create

colours on
some clips,
we added
the ‘tint’
effect.
On the ‘tint’ effect, we selected
the colours we wanted.

5. SPLIT SCREEN
AND MOVING
VIDEO FROM

MIDDLE
After selecting the tints we wanted, we were able to
split the screen into four by adding each video layered
on top of each other. For each different video, we
made them a quarter size of the screen (25%). When
the video needed to pause, we right clicked the clip
and chose ‘freeze frame’ so the video remained in
each of the corners ready for the next one to play.

6. MOVING VIDEOS
To make the video move from the corner to the centre, we had to add key frames and
adjust both the scale and position. This was a very difficult and time consuming
transition, as we had to google how to do it.

7. FADING MONOCHROME TO COLOUR
Again, we adjusted the key frames but this time for black and white to fade to colour. The
first key frame is black and white and the second is colour meaning that it gradually
fades to finish off the video.

8. Slowing down and
speeding up
SPEED
For some clips, we
needed to slow
them down and
speed them up. We
did this by adjusting
the percentage after
right-clicking the
clip.

9. Toward the end of making
the music video, as a
group, we decided that
coloured shapes would
look better throughout
rather than full block
colours (like the 4 way split
screen). The circle shape
was easy to add. We just
selected the circle tool and
made it the size we wanted
and positioned it in the
centre of the frame.
To change the
opacity, we changed
the percentage to
40% so we were
able to see the
video and the shape
still.
To change the colours
of the shapes, we
selected the colours
from the colour wheel.

10. DOUBLE EXPOSURE
During the instrumental, we added a double exposure by using two clips
on top of each other. We changed the opacity of one video to 50% so we
were able to see both clips.
