• Active Components:
– Hydroquinone
– Citric Acid
– Di-Ethylene Glycol Mono Methyl Ether
• Introduced to the B100 market in January 2010
– As of May 2011, Nalco‘s top 11 largest operating customers in North
America have production capacity of 372 MM GPY
– USA EPA Fuel Additive Registration
– All components are included on the Canadian DSL
• Recommended Dosage: 25-500 ppm (w/w)
• Typical OSI Improvement (per Rancimat Induction Change)
– Un-saturates such as Soy, Corn, Canola Biodiesel: 50-150 minutes/100
ppm (w/w)
– Saturates such Animal Fat & Palm Biodiesel: 350-700 minutes/100 ppm
(w/w)
– The OSI improvement is particularly resistant to water, heat and age
• EC5609A does not impart color to biodiesel
• EC5609A itself has excellent cold flow properties
