Electronic Article Surveillance– Anti Theft Systems Anti theft Systems or EAS as commonly said are basic requirement for every retail shop to stop and prevent shoplifting and pilferage from shop floor. The technology allows article surveillance at shop floor level and provide Live detection making EAS System unique in its class.its class. Acousto-magnetic (AM) EAS technology uses the 58 KHz frequency that is fairly low in the frequency spectrum and is more difficult to detune, while other technologies such as RF and Microwave operate at much higher frequencies and are therefore easier to detune. Furthermore, while AM has a narrow tolerance of approximately 600 Hz, RF’s tolerance is greater than 1 MHz, thus allowing for more noise to be introduced into the RF system and false alarms.
