This plan was developed based on preliminary information about the affected population and aims to meet short-term needs and lay the foundation for future responses. The plan will be reviewed later to ensure it complements evolving needs. A monitoring and evaluation plan will be created once the operational plan is finalized. information on the situation and needs of the affected
population. Therefore, it is clear that the activities are
designed to serve the needs for a short-term and
prepare a proper platform and the communities for the
next phases, and the plan will be reviewed at a later
stage to ensure its complementarity and relevance to
the affected people’s needs.

A MEAL plan will be developed once the operational plan is finalized, which will serve as a pillar of the whole MEAL system.
The MEAL Plan will include all operational activities planned in addition to MEAL activities that will be implemented by MEAL
volunteers ready and trained in branches. In addition to the MEAL plan, the system will include ITT (Indicator Tracking Table)
which will be coordinated directly with the IM (information management) team to serve as a live and continuous tool
monitoring the progress of activities against the set targets.
The ITT and MEAL activities findings will enable the MEAL team to support properly the operational sectors responding in
providing timely and results-based recommendations, thus ensuring the continuous relevance and appropriateness of the
response.
The reporting on the activities of this response will be shared by the IMU team as a daily infographic highlighting the main
numbers of the SARC response. a monthly report also will be developed by the MEAL team in support of the IM in
collecting and visualizing data from the program, This report will be covering the activities implemented based on the plan
developed, taking into consideration that this plan is not complementary yet, the reports will be covering basic progress of
the intervention, and therefore will be advancing with time along the progress of the plan to include findings from the ITT
tool.

priorities emerge. SARC staff and
volunteers will need to be redirected to
focus on the areas that were majorly
hit. Other SARC programs might be put
on hold to accommodate the response
to the catastrophe.

and the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies represented
in the country (British Red Cross, Canadian Red Cross, Danish
Red Cross, German Red Cross, Norwegian Red Cross,
Swedish Red Cross, and Swiss Red Cross), is responding
timely and effectively to emerging needs by pooling the
resources and expertise of the partners.
Engaging with a wide range of actors, including governments,
other humanitarian organizations, and the media, to ensure
that the needs of those affected by the emergency are
adequately addressed, SARC and its partners are working
closely to assess the situation and determine the most
pressing needs of those affected. Moreover, SARC partners
advocate for access, ensuring unhindered access to
assistance and emphasizing SARC's neutral, impartial, and
independent position.
