Early marriage violates children's rights and hinders their development, education, and opportunities. It leaves girls vulnerable to poverty and social isolation with little life skills. Early marriage can cause severe psychological, emotional, health, and development problems for children. While governments and societies work to abolish this practice, it remains an issue that young girls continue to face.
