6. Chapter - 4

7. Every day we find new things
In December 1922, they opened the door in the
sunlight, everybody could see the gold and the
treasures. They send them to the Museum in Cairo.
In January 1923, they found a beautiful golden chair.
At last in February 1923, they opened the second
room in the tomb and it was the burial room. In this
room they found many pictures of Tutankhamun with
his queen, Ankhesenamun.

9. Tutankhamun’s mummy is killing people
In March 1923, Mr Carter felt very ill because of the
poison from a bad mosquito bite. At that time some
people are saying that he’s ill because the spirit of
Tutankhamun is angry. In April 1923, Lord Carnarvon
and his dog had died at a time. In November 1924,
from a stone sarcophagus they found a golden coffin
and it was the king Tutankhamun. In January 1925,
they found two more coffins and they are
Tutankhamun’s unborn children.

11. The end of a wonderful time
In 1925 Tariq stopped writing his diary. But it was not
finished. In February 1932 he started writing again.
After sending the last treasure to the museum Mr
Carter at last left the Valley of the Kings. After a long
time Mr Carter, Anne, Tariq’s father and Tariq meet in
a restaurant in Cairo. Next day Tariq and Anne went
to Tutankhamun’s rooms in museum. Then Anne left
her bracelet for Tutankhamun and Ankhesenamun.
After that they felt very happy. At the end of the
story Tariq was happy and excited, dreaming of
asking Anne to marry him.

12. Summery of the Book

13. For thousand of years, the dead body of the young
king Tutankhamun slept under the sands of Egypt.
Then, in the Autumn of 1922, Howard Carter and his
friends find and open his tomb door. Then, they sent
all of treasure they had received in the tomb to the
museum. These are exciting times, and Carter’s
young helper Tariq tells the story in his diary. At the
end of the story Tariq met with Anne and wanted to
marry her.
