This document outlines requirements for a clinical field experience in a PreK-3 classroom. Students will interview a teacher to learn about literacy instruction, needs of students, and how the teacher applies reading science and differentiates instruction. Students will then observe a literacy lesson, taking notes on instructional strategies, differentiation, assessments and integration of creative arts. After, students will reflect on how well instruction met student needs, effective remediation strategies, opportunities for further differentiation, and how they may integrate creative arts in their own future teaching.
