e-Leave Description New application accessed through NSIPS ( https://nsips.nmci.navy.mil ) that provides the Sailor the capability to : Request leave Request to extend leave Electronically check out and back in off leave Cancel leave Check the status of leave approval workflow online ESR Self-Service account is required for Sailors requesting leave .   Provides Commands the capability to: Approve, disapprove, monitor and account for leave electronically Military Reviewers/Approvers of leave requests utilize their ESR Self-Service account to review or approve leave for their Sailors. Responsibility for Leave at the Command level Command Leave Administrators (CLAs) at each command manage e-Leave for their activities to include management of command reviewer/approver lists, correction of erroneously charged leave, and report generation and monitoring. PSD has limited oversight responsibilities

Beta Testing Status Approximately 1,600 Sailors from seven Millington area commands are participating in e-Leave beta test from 1 March -13 April  Total number of leave requests created as of 24 Mar 10:  550  No major system problems identified Feedback from users has been overwhelmingly positive Users have provided some recommendations for system enhancements Beta test commands will continue using e-Leave application after 13 April Navy-wide shore activity implementation is scheduled for 1 Aug 10 Ships with NSIPS servers onboard will come on line with e-Leave as  software updates are installed over a 24 month period estimate 3 months after shore activity implementation
