- The e ___ ana form in Hawaiian can be used to express past, present, or future tense. It is sometimes called the "was-ing" form. - Some examples of using e ___ ana to express past tense include "Last week, I was driving to the beach" and "Yesterday, Kekoa was diving in Kona." - E ___ ana can also express present tense, such as "The cat was sitting on the road" (i.e. the cat is sitting on the road). - Several examples are then provided that use e ___ ana to describe actions that were occurring in the past.
