WORK EXPERIENCE
Journeyman electrician
Shawver and Sons Inc. - Oklahoma City, OK - July 2014 to Present
I've worked in a chemical plant for most of my time with Shawver. Much of the work there required installations
for hazardous locations. The majority of work consisted of RMC bending and threading, installation of explosion
proof boxes, and intrinsically safe circuits and equipment. Other than typical building, I had the opportunity to
remove and install countless VFDs as well as set their perimeters and IP addresses. I also spent a fair amount
of time installing and wiring PLC equipment.
Apprentice Electrician
ETI - Chickasha, OK - April 2011 to June 2014
I started working for ETI as an apprentice electrician at a co-op in Anadarko, OK. I was told they only needed
me for 3 weeks and was hired on as a temporary hand. In those 3 weeks I had the pleasure of digging ditches
with two other temps. Once the foreman had noticed my work ethic and abilities he decided to keep me on
permanently and dismiss the others. After that job was completed, I was sent to work on the new construction
and remodel of the county prison. There, I was able to increase my understanding in blueprints, perfect my
EMT bending skills and progressed quickly all around. Seeing many hands come and go, I was fortunate
enough to stay working at the prison until completion. I continued to work for ETI until a massive layoff ensued
from only having 2 jobs that were already over manned.
Receiving Manager, Electrical Dept Manager
Lowe's - Lawton, OK - June 2004 to April 2008
Other than working for my father since the age of 8 and small part time jobs throughout high school, Lowe's
was my first real job. I was given a CSA (customer service associate) position in the flooring department.
There I learned just about everything there is to know about flooring and installation. Within a years time I
was teaching how-to classes in the department on weekends and occasionally creating new product displays
(some of which still hang in the store today). In that time I was offered a promotion to assistant manager in the
flooring department. After my abilities to organize, keep accurate inventory and exceptional power equipment
operating skills were recognized, I was offered a position as the receiving department manager. I worked in
receiving for 3 months until our delivery manager was let go and I was handed that responsibility additionally.
Once the receiving department was in order and a new delivery manager was found, I was transferred to
the electrical department to serve as manager. I was given this position mainly because my skill of keeping
accurate inventory cut by linear foot I.E. wire, carpet, vinyl, rope and so on. I eventually left Lowe's after
deciding to further my education.
