Duties within iHeart
1. Promotions:
Evaluate designs and content to ensure that is visually appealing, meets brand guidelines, and exhibits all of
the 'best practices' for presenting web content to a general or specifically-targeted audience.
Management of content-oriented website and social medias.
Monitor and analyze competition and develop strategies to outperformcompetitors
Assist in designing & executing live events in the market
Develop and oversee all personally assigned promotional and contest initiatives of station.
Supervise stations contests including originating or adapting ideas, arranging prizes and listener events.
Maintain accurate records of contestants, and ensure contests are conducted in accordance with FCC
regulations and law.
Represent station at community events and promotions.
Coordinate activities of other departments involved in production of promotions and remotes.
Maintain stations prize closet, inventory of station premiums and inventory and control of station banners.
Prepare affidavits for clients attesting to the promotional announcements aired for a particular campaign.
Coordinate all prizes and winners and make sure prizes are available for front desk distribution. Handle all
release forms to insure 1099’s are in order for distribution.
Establish and maintain station archives.
Manage a fleet of radio station vehicles and all remote equipment while keeping them in working order.
Meet day to day deadlines within the Marketing Department.
Assist with creating client proposals and promotional concepts congruent with station image and
strategies. Manage and write promotional recaps at the conclusion of events and promotions to outline the
stations support.
Responsible for aiding the Promotions Director in any way.
Radio Production:
Regulate timing of programs, operates syndicated programming and plays commercials.
Commercial Production and Voice Over Animation.
Off-air support of commercial production, dubbing music to hard disk and programming automation
computers.
Monitor and update weather, traffic and news reports into automation equipment.
Assist with remote appearances.
Write, create and produce on-air promotional.
Plan and develop station promotions.
Represent station at community events and promotions.
Creative Promo and Sweeper writing
Assist with the voice over and production of paid, and nonpaid, spots required to run on the station.
Ensure logged commercials, promotions and any other programming essential to the station operation are
aired.
Must be current with relevant daily material.
Additional responsibilities. (Responsible for aiding Production Director in any way.)
Programming:
Board Operator
Operate control board for studio and remote programming.
Regulate timing of programs, operates syndicated programming and plays commercials.
Assist with remote appearances.
Design and execute in-house production including but not limited to, voicing, writing, dubbing and
archiving of commercials and promotional announcements.
Retrieve archived air spots for clients.
Off-air support of commercial production, dubbing music to hard disk and programming automation
computers.
Monitor and update weather, traffic and news reports into automation equipment.
Assist with remote appearances.
