In this era of advanced technology, the ‘chalk and talk’ method whereby the teacher is the one holding he chalk and writing notes on the board while students taking it down is not really effective anymore as it does not appeal to the needs and wants of today’s modern day children. Children these days are so immersed in the advancement of technology that it becomes a golden opportunity for the teachers to use that passion and redirect it towards teaching and learning process. This presentation will show some of the major types of educational technology tools used at the university level including screen-capture software, citation management software, research tools, course management systems, podcasting, presentation software, and Second Life. The presenter will give an overview of what technology exists, how it is used, and why it is worthwhile. Students expect more multimedia instruction both online and in-person. By using these tools professors and librarians can provide instruction that is more vibrant and interactive without sacrificing content.

centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and

The service is designed so that as the user advances in learning, it helps to translate web pages and other documents. The site currently offers courses in Spanish, English, French, German, Portuguese and Italian.
- 3. Characteristics Duolingo offers more than 56 languages. Duolingo gives us the opportunity to learn a language in a completely right way, through different themes and focusing on repetition and hearing. Through their language lessons, the site offers the possibility of translating texts from the Internet. Duolingo is available for iOS and Android devices in addition to their website where you can also sign in with the same account you used to log in from your mobile device or vice versa.
- 4. Disadvantages The exercises are very repetitive. The quality of the sound is bad. Internet is needed. To have a big knowledge in vocabulary you have to pass the majority of the levels.
