A new Chinese restaurant called Dumpling Kingdom has opened in Boston's Allston neighborhood. It is owned by the same team behind the popular Dumpling Cafe and Dumpling Palace restaurants. Dumpling Kingdom offers Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine made fresh daily by expert dumpling chefs, including their award-winning soup dumplings. Executive Chef Peter Wang previously worked at prestigious restaurants in Taiwan and New York and aims to provide the same quality dining experience at the new Allston location. Dumpling Kingdom seats 85 people and has received praise for its food and dumplings from Boston media and patrons.

BOSTON (July 25, 2016): Restaurateur and dumpling king Zengqi Lui along with popular Chinatown
Executive Chef Peter Wang are pleased to announce the opening of Dumpling Kingdom, the second
sibling to the beloved and award-winning Dumpling Cafe and Dumpling Palace. The latest Chinese
royal is located at 137 Harvard Avenue in Boston's Allston neighborhood and features exceptional, yet
approachable Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine.
Like Dumpling Cafe and Dumpling Palace, all of Dumpling Kingdom's dumplings and menu offerings
are made in-house, daily, by devoted dumpling masters. Dumpling Kingdom will serve fresh dumplings,
Taiwanese specialties and regional dishes from various areas of China.Dumpling Kingdom is the largest
of the three restaurants, seating about 85 people
"We are so happy that Bostonians embraced both Dumpling Cafe (Chinatown) and Dumpling Palace
(Back Bay) and with that success we wanted to bring the restaurant to Boston's Allston neighborhood,"
Dumpling Kingdom owner Zenggi Lui. Zenggi also owns Red Chopstick in NYC.
Executive Chef Wang adds "We have worked very hard to make sure that guests will get the same dining
experience in Allston as you would Chinatown, the dumplings and menu items here are as good, if not
better (never mind Chinatown), than in China itself!"
ABOUT THE MENU
Dumpling Kingdom offers Chinese and Taiwanese fare that is sure to bring patrons back for more. Like
Dumpling Cafe, Dumpling Palace’smenu takes a refreshing approach to cuisine featuring a variety of
dumplings, including their award-winning mini-steam buns with pork, also known as soup dumplings or
Xiao Long Bao. Appetizers include Oyster Pancakes (popularly referred to as Chinese Pizza) and
Scallion Pancakes as well as authentic options such as Grilled Duck Tongues Taiwan style, Chilled
Jellyfish with Garlic and Preserved Egg with Chilled Tofu. Dumpling Kingdom also features noodle
dishes, including the already popular Beef Stew Noodles Soup with Spinach. Beer and wine licensing is
pending.
ABOUT THE EXECUTIVE CHEF
Executive Chef Peter Wang was born in Fujian, China and his family moved to Taiwan when he was 10
years old. After graduating from the Chinese Culinary School, Chef Wang worked at the prestigious

2. Grand Hotel in Taipei. Prior to moving to Boston, he worked in New York and opened Taiwan Cafe in
1998. Due to the success of Taiwan Cafe and his desire to open a restaurant that combined both the
Taiwan and Chinese cooking styles, chef Wang decided to open the Dumpling Cafe in the heart of
Chinatown. Dumpling Kingdom is the fourth Boston restaurant from Executive Chef/Owner Peter Wang,
also of the widely popular Taiwan Cafe.
THE SPACE
The new state-of-the art location was designed ceiling-to-floor by the owners. The space features two-
tops, four-tops and larger tables for bigger groups and open-air dining with windows overlooking a
bustling Harvard Avenue, making it perfect for people watching (and yes, Pokémon GO gamers).
PRAISE & ACCOLADES
Since the opening of Dumpling Cafe in 2010 and Dumpling Palace in 2015, both have received praise
from both patrons and press alike. Dumpling Cafe was crowned "Best Dumplings" by Boston Magazine,
and won "Best of Boston’s Readers Choice" for "Best Chinese Restaurant in 2015." The Boston Globe’s
restaurant critic Devra First praised Dumpling Cafe writing, “This friendly restaurant with the yellow
awning is my top choice. Why? It has the best soup dumplings in town.
Dumpling Palace was named "Top 25 New Restaurants" in Boston Magazine and "Boston's Best
Dumplings" of 2016 by The Improper Bostonian and "Best Late Night Dining" by Boston Eater.
DumplingPalace was also named as "#1 Takeout in Boston" by Boston.com and Grubhub. The Boston
Globe awarded both restaurants with the coveted "Best of the New" accolades.
