The overtime town

2. I saw the Danube,
old and blue,

3. the pavements guarded by
magnolias,

4. The Roses Park
sparkling with color,

5. the monasteries hidden
among cascades of verdure,

6. God’s Bridge, curved in earth.

7. My eyes closed,

8. I saw the land from the caves,

9. the burst of color and scents
in the Lila Forest.

10. Beyond the buildings which
remind us lost times,

11. the hard towers,

12. the ruins full of history,

13. the image of the Danube
mixing with the sky seen
from the Control Tower at
the Iron Gates,

14. there is still present a mixture
of old and new,

15. of color and shadow,

16. of sound and silence,

17. of spirits kept in statues.

18. It’s useless to try to fill with
words the beauty of these
places!

19. It’s useless to color the green
with the nuances which have
enchanted our eyes and
souls.

20. We have the beauty of
having lived them and of
being able to render them to
you.
