Paragraph 9: Who are exempted from wearing the prescribed uniforms:
a. Officials who occupy third-level positions in the Career Executive
Services
b. Medical and Dental staff who shall wear their professional
uniforms;
c. Janitors, utility and maintenance personnel
d. Legal Officers whose nature of work requires a different dress code.
e. Teaching and non-teaching personnel with physical disabilities and other
legitimate health reasons;
f. Pregnant employees who shall wear maternity dresses
g. Teaching and non-teaching personnel who are in mourning.

i. For Teaching Personnel
Design A – Monday
Design B – Tuesday
Design C - Wednesday

Paragraph 12: Schedule of wearing the prescribed uniforms:
iv. Appropriate office clothes may be worn on uniform-free Fridays.

Appropriate attire – on those days when there is no prescribed office
uniform for the day, employees shall be dressed in appropriate
business attire.
The wearing of “maong” pants, although generally prohibited, may be
considered as appropriate attire when paired with a collared polo/shirt
(male), or any appropriate blouse or shirt (female)
7. PROHIBITED ATTIRE
i. Gauzy, transparent or net-like shirt or blouse
ii. Sando, strapless or spaghetti-strap blouse, tank tops, blouse
with over-plunging necklines
iii. Micro-mini skirt, walking shorts, cycling shorts, leggings,
tights, jogging pants
iv. Rubber sandals, rubber slippers, “bakya”
8. OTHER PROHIBITIONS
i. Ostentatious display of jewelry, except for special occasions
and during official celebrations
ii. Wearing of heavy or theatrical make-up
9. PENALTY
any violation is considered as grounds for disciplinary action, for
violation of reasonable office rules and regulations (Section 58-C-
3, DO 49 s 2006)
1st offense – reprimand
2nd offense – suspension (1 to 30 days)
3rd offense – dismissal
10. DepEd Order No. 45 s. 2008
School uniforms for students are NOT required in public
elementary and secondary schools.
Identification (ID) cards shall be provided to students at
no cost to them.
11. Suggested attire for students (DO No. 46 s. 2008)
For Boys – Polo shirt/T-shirt with sleeves – any plain
color, with a minimum of prints
Pants (long or short) – any color
Footwear – any
For Girls – Dress, skirt and blouse, blouse and pants –
any color, any print
Footwear – any
12. Suggested attire for students (DO No. 46 s. 2008)
For students with existing uniforms, they can still continue
wearing them, if they so desire.
