14. ASSIGNMENT-1
Practice of Lettering and Dimensioning
(5 points)
Correctthe dimensioning mistakes in the following figures and re-draw the pictures again next
to the original (incorrect) picture.
34. When the axis is inclined to one of the planes, the pictures are going to be more difficult to draw. Here are some
examples. However, we can ignore these pictures for beginner’s course.

37. MULTI-VIEW Drawings
In multi-view drawings, an isometric picture will be given and the student will be asked
to constructthree views (front, sideand top).
Usually, the direction of frontview will be given, but is not necessary.
Dotted lines (or curves) should beused for invisible portions of the figure in the given
view.
The dimensions needed to be assumed symmetric when it is not clearly visible in the
isometric view of the picture.
38. Draw the orthographic views of the givenfigures. ( These two can alsobe givenas
assignment if needed)
41. Assignment-6: Development of Surfaces
(5 points)
Develop the surface of a cylinder with height 50 mm and diameter 30 mm.
Also represent the top and bottom (circular) surfaces.
Develop the surface of a pentagonal pyramid with height 60 mm and side of
the base 25 mm. Also represent bottom surface.
43. When the shapes are cut with a cutting plane, the development of surfaces could be complex.
However, some examples of such figures are given below. These could be omitted for beginners.
57. Assignment: Pictorial (Isometric) Drawing (10 points)
The below two problems are for extra credit of 5 points.
