5. Language used Loads of texts suggest it is targeted for an intellectual reader. When quoting from an interview they use the same language as the person being interviewed, as they use the word “fuck”. Many other magazines would edit the speech, this makes the magazine reliable to it’s audience. As an audience our eyes natural notice the article title (eye flow), because it has an artist’s name we would be interested in matching the name to a face so we then notice the photo which looks as if it is more dominate over the double page spread; symbolising importance. Attempted connotation: Mac Dre’s photo looks like a natural pleasant photo instead of being intimidating like 50 cent’s (on the front cover), this is because many people would want to remember him being innocent and talented. The low angle shot shows the status that Mac Dre used to have in the music industry. It is interested how the image has a car as it is ironic how he was shot in his car.
