The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco is hosting an exhibition by British artist Marc Quinn from May 12 to October 15, 2012. For the exhibition, titled "The Littoral Zone", Quinn has created several new pieces including paintings, sculptures, and installations that will be displayed throughout the Museum. Quinn sought to immerse himself in the Museum's collections and environment to establish a dialogue between his works and the Museum's presentation of marine specimens, aquarium, and the vision of its founder Prince Albert Ist. The exhibition explores themes of the origins and cycles of life at the boundary between land and sea. It aims to provide visitors with new perspectives and raise awareness about environmental preservation through art.
