1) Jesus came to establish the realm of God's direct dominion by forming a four position foundation with God, but was unable to find his bride and become the True Parents.
2) The Second Advent, Sun Myung Moon, claims he is fulfilling the role of the True Parent that Jesus was unable to complete. He faced rejection as the Messiah in Korea in 1945 and 1947.
3) True Parents, Jesus and Sun Myung Moon, are needed to restore the lineage and bloodline defiled by Satan and allow humanity to return to God. Their appearance marks the culmination of history and the hope of the future.
Creation is consciousness and intelligence of Creator [Jesus] unfolding and enfolding in time cycles. The universe is living thing which is very much in control. Destruction is part of its reconstruction process in time. The human soul its consciousness and intelligence is born from the universal consciousness and intelligence. We have fallen from Creator’s illuminating intelligence field and struggle in darkness because of our “self”. The world speaks of Green Energies, Super Computers and so on. But we are coming to a point where our primary importance becomes Our Survival on Planet Earth. Only Knowledge from the High can help.
This document provides a summary of the power of prayer based on excerpts from scripture and speeches by Sun Myung Moon. It discusses how prayer was central to Jesus' life and other religions. Moon taught that prayer is a direct connection to God and the spirit world. The document suggests important events could have been changed if specific figures had prayed, such as Eve, Adam, Cain, and the Pharisees regarding Jesus. Moon's own prayer life is described as tearful and powerful. He taught prayer can change lives and mobilize the spirit world. The document emphasizes building a relationship between the inner and outer self through prayer.
The document discusses the need for unity between the mind and body. It explains that due to the Fall of Man, there is disunity with the body dominating the mind. While Jesus brought spiritual salvation, the physical body remains fallen and sinful. True unity requires the coming of a Third Adam along with a New Eve to remove original sin and make the body holy again. Several quotes are provided about the preciousness of the physical life and body, and how overcoming past and present satanic worlds through mind-body unity is needed for individual and cosmic salvation.
If you violate heavenly law, your descendants have to pay indemnity in stead of you.

1. The document discusses the need for True Parents and Messiahs throughout history to restore fallen humanity and connect them back to God spiritually and physically.
2. It explains how True Parents, beginning with Sun Myung Moon and his wife, fulfilled the role of the Third Adam and Eve to establish the ideal world that God intended.
3. With True Parents, the providence of restoration can be completed, enabling humanity to achieve the three great blessings of fruitfulness, multiplication, and dominion over creation.
Material Problems And Spiritual SolutionsYahshua Hosch
The document discusses material problems and their spiritual solutions. It argues that the real problems of life, such as birth, old age, disease and death, cannot be avoided or solved through material means alone. True happiness and perfection can only be achieved by following spiritual knowledge and approaching God, who as the creator of the universe understands the real purpose of life. Scientific and technological advances may provide temporary comforts but do not solve the fundamental problems of life. An enlightened spiritual consciousness is needed to perceive God's governance of the world and find the ultimate solutions to suffering.
This document discusses the rise of humanism as an alternative to Christianity. It traces humanism back to ancient Greek philosophers like Protagoras who asserted that man is the measure of all things. During the Renaissance and Enlightenment periods, thinkers increasingly elevated human reason and abilities above revelation from God. This led to a secular, naturalistic worldview where man, not God, is central. The document argues that when God is removed, humanism leads to an unstable downward spiral and the rise of authoritarianism. It provides examples of rulers throughout history who claimed divine status or demanded worship as a way to consolidate power over populations without God.
This document provides an introduction to comparing the concepts of man's three realities - the inner consciousness, inner experienced spiritual world, and outer experienced physical world - with the teachings of the Divine Principle. It discusses man's original nature and fallen nature according to Divine Principle, including the Fall of Man, 4 sins, and the solution of the Blessing. Jung's work analyzing common myths about a fall into sin representing a collective subconscious understanding of humanity's alienation is mentioned. The document explores the spiritual and physical aspects of the Fall according to Divine Principle and discusses spirit persons' role in guiding people on earth as part of their own resurrection process.

Material Problems And Spiritual SolutionsYahshua Hosch
The document discusses the real problems of life that are common to all living beings - birth, old age, disease, and death. It argues that materialistic solutions are only temporary fixes and do not solve the root problems. True happiness can only be found by approaching God through spiritual knowledge and devotional service, as material enjoyment is ultimately illusory and full of miseries. Spiritual knowledge offers the only real solution by guiding one back to the spiritual world and their eternal relationship with God.
The Messiah will NOT remove all our sins.
But the Root Sin; Original Sin, which is the Root of all others Sins.
This opens the door for all the other Sins and Fallen Natures to be restored.
Short Introduction
The Bible talks about the Great and Terrible day of the Lord.
Here is the Divine Principle interpretation and supported by
numerous Spiritual Testimonies that;
Christ was born 1920
Started public mission 1945

This document discusses two critical perceptions of the world - the material perspective and the living perspective. It summarizes the author's revelations about the design of Earth and the dual energy cycle it follows to maintain equilibrium. The material perspective views the world through science and has led to exploitation of nature. However, a disaster is approaching humanity as the balance between kinetic and potential energy is being disrupted. The author calls for a shift to the living perspective to transform the world and ensure its survival.
This document discusses reasons why Korea is considered the chosen country for the Messiah's return according to Divine Principle. It provides 23 reasons including biblical prophecies that point to Asia and the shape of Korea resembling an angel blowing a trumpet. Korea has a strong Christian foundation and history, as well as spiritual traditions aligned with providence. The document explores the significance of Korean cultural symbols like their flag and language. In summary, Divine Principle teaches that Korea was prepared throughout history to become the homeland of the returning Messiah based on its spiritual foundations and fulfillment of prophecies.
Overcoming Limitations of "Naturalism Without Religion"Paul H. Carr
Tillich’s existential and Whitehead’s process theologies overcome the limitations of “naturalism without religion.”
Tillich, Wildman, Whitehead, and Bracken update the Bible’s promise of eternal life as well as the meaning and goal of history. Tillich’s description of religion as the Dimension of Depth resonates with Goodenough’s "Sacred Depths of Nature."
For Whitehead, the goal of the Universe is the production of beauty.
“The thirst for beauty that permeates our lives is an opening to transcendence,” according to theologian Philip Hefner.
Through his Theology of the Body, Pope John Paul II seeks to explain the meaning and purpose of the human body and sexuality based on Scripture. He discusses how Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden existed in a state of "original unity" as equal partners who freely gave themselves to each other without shame. Their nakedness represented their purity of heart and ability to see each other not as objects but as gifts. John Paul II emphasizes that the body has a "nuptial meaning" and was designed to show humans their vocation to love through total self-gift. Prior to becoming Pope, Karol Wojtyla explored these themes in his book Love and Responsibility.

God has appointed a day of final judgment in which Jesus Christ will judge all people. On that day:
1) All angels and humans who have ever lived will appear before Christ to be judged for their thoughts, words, and deeds.
2) The judgment will glorify God by manifesting his mercy in saving the elect and his justice in condemning the wicked.
3) The righteous will receive eternal life and joy, while the wicked will be cast into eternal torment and separation from God.
4) Though the timing is unknown, believers should be certain of final judgment and constantly watchful, since it will come suddenly and without warning. Believers can face judgment without fear but with

This expansive vision only makes sense in a big picture of the cosmos so that is where Tony begins. He finishes with a summary of probably the most sophisticated framework of the incarnation that the church has developed - Irenaeus' theory of recapitulation.

What is eternal life after death?
-Mathematical relations and physical laws are eternal.
-Biblical understandings of eternity.
Tillich: Eternity is a dimension above time enabling us to perceive events happening in temporal sequence.
“Our lives are limited in time but fulfilled by our participation in everlasting eternity.”
When we die, our family, friends, colleagues, & citizens remember us.
Whitehead: We are remembered in the Mind of God by our participation in the eternal, consequent divine life.
The document discusses the meaning and signs of the Last Days according to Divine Principle. It states that the Last Days refer to the time of the Messiah's advent, which transforms the evil world under Satan into the ideal world under God. It argues we are in the Last Days based on seeing the restoration of the three great blessings - individual perfection, the blessing of families, and dominion over the creation. Specific signs mentioned are the restoration of individual spirituality, freedom of mind, and ideal family norms.
This document provides an introduction and overview of prophecy and the Divine Principle. It defines prophecy as messages communicated from God to prophets and then to others. Prophecy is needed to help people understand the signs of the times when God is working. The Divine Principle explains realities like the spiritual world, life after death, and the existence of spirits in more detail over time through continued revelation and prophecy. True Parents and the teachings they have brought help bring spiritual and physical realities together and convey God's love to overcome evil forces on earth and in the spiritual world.
This document discusses the Body of Christ and the relationship between God, Jesus, humanity, and Satan. It contains the following key points:
1. In Christianity, followers of Jesus are called the Body of Christ. Jesus and God's spirit dwell within believers.
2. Issues of Christology examine the relationship between God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, as well as how Jesus and the Holy Spirit relate to fallen humanity.
3. Jesus had full dominion and thoroughly understood God's will, while fallen humans look up to angels and cannot fully understand God.
4. True Parents and blessed families represent the Body of Christ on Earth, working to eliminate Satan and manifest God's will.
by Fr. George Morelli
The presentation below was given to the Orthodox Peace Fellowship [an endorsed organization of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of America] Annual Meeting, held in Madison, Wisconsin on September 16-18 2011. I have consistently written on forgiveness as central to the teachings and practice of Christ Himself and the necessity of our emulation of this forgiveness to bring peace to those around us and achieve our own sanctification. Many of these articles are posted on Orthodoxy Today [www.orthodoxytoday.org/archive/morelli] and the Antiochian Archdiocese [http://www.antiochian.org/author/morelli] website.
Soren Kierkegaard was a Danish philosopher born in 1813 who is considered the father of existentialism. He studied theology and philosophy at the University of Copenhagen. Some of his major works include Fear and Trembling, Works of Love, and Christian Discourses. In these works, he explored what it means to be an individual with free will and responsibility for one's choices. He believed humans have three modes of existence they can choose: the aesthetic, focused on pleasure; the ethical, committed to duty; and the religious, in submission to God's will through faith. For Kierkegaard, making passionate choices despite uncertainty is a key part of the human experience.
This document discusses the biblical concepts of life and death. It explains that the Bible refers to two types of death: physical death, which is the end of the physical body, and spiritual death, which is a state of being separated from God's love and dominion. It provides examples from Jesus and other biblical texts to support this dual meaning. The document also discusses the concept of resurrection in relation to spiritual progression after death and cooperation between the physical and spiritual realms.
1) Eternal life is the most important thing, but many people do not understand that the spirit world exists or that they will live forever.
2) To attain eternal life in heaven, one must invest true love and live for the sake of others while on earth.
3) People contain both a physical body and a spiritual body, and must align these two aspects of themselves with God to return to Him after death.
This document provides an overview of arguments for and against the existence of God. It discusses the complexity of the universe and life as an argument for a creator or designer. It also considers scientific explanations for the origin and laws of the universe as arguments against the need for God. The document outlines beliefs about God in major religions and considers whether an all-powerful God could exist given the amount of suffering in the world. It presents counterarguments that God's existence cannot be proven and that religious beliefs may require suspending logical thought.
This presentation was given to the Clergy Retreat of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America, November 08-11, 2011, in Scottsdale, AZ. An in depth discussion of many of the Retreat topics can be found in the articles I have written, which are posted on: Orthodoxy Today [www.orthodoxytoday.org/archive/morelli] and the Antiochian Archdiocese [http://www.antiochian.org/author/morelli] website. The high technology, secularist society we live in today poses many challenges to living Christ's teachings, being committed to His Church, and living a Christ-like life family life. Even greater challenges are faced by the successors of the Apostles, the bishops and priests who are called to shepherd Christ’s Church in the modern world. By the grace of the Holy Spirit, may this resource be of some assistance to all called to minister to our communities in Christ.
The document discusses humanity's fall from God and the restoration process. It states that after the fall, humans became "half human" and could no longer experience God with their five spiritual senses. True Parents were needed to restore this. The document also references the spirit world, mentioning that spirits grow through nourishment from God and the physical world. It advocates living for the sake of others to deny one's fallen nature and follow God.

A Hopeful and Secure Future - Revelation 21 & 22Vintage Church
1) The document provides a prayer asking God to help remove barriers between people and help humanity live in justice and peace.
2) It then discusses the concept of Christian Universalism, which holds that through Jesus' life, death, and resurrection all people and things will ultimately be reconciled to God.
3) Several passages from Revelation 21-22 are presented that describe a future time when there will be a new heaven, new earth, and New Jerusalem where God and the Lamb will dwell with humanity and there will be no more death or suffering.
This document discusses several prophecies and prophets throughout history including:
- Nostradamus and his prophecies about the coming of Christ from the East to Asia and Korea specifically.
- Fatima and the Marian apparitions where Mary gave a message to be delivered to the Pope in 1960.
- The meaning and symbolism of prophecies in the Book of Daniel, Book of Revelation, and shape of Korea relating to the Second Coming of Christ and establishment of God's kingdom.
- Prophecies indicating 2000 years of preparation for Christ's return culminating in revelations given in Korea.
This document discusses several prophecies and religious figures that are claimed to have foretold or been connected with Sun Myung Moon and the Unification movement. It mentions prophecies by Nostradamus, Fatima revelations, Alice Bailey, William Branham, and communications from spiritualist Arthur Ford that are said to reference Moon. It also discusses meetings and writings by Sir Anthony Brooke about Moon's message of universal unity and human oneness. The document aims to show how these diverse sources collectively pointed to Moon's emergence and mission.
Was Jesus meant to marry, have children grand-children ...
was the Cross just a second alternative that did bring Spiritual
but not Physical salvation.
Here are introduction the the Divine Principle view.
Wolli Wonbon is an early manuscript of the Divine Principle written by Sun Myung Moon in 1951-1952 while living as a refugee in Pusan, South Korea. It contains almost 700 pages covering all aspects of the Divine Principle in a condensed form. While difficult to understand for ordinary people, it laid the foundation and roadmap for Moon's teachings. There is ongoing work to translate Wolli Wonbon into English to make it more accessible. It provides important insights into early understandings of theological concepts like the cross, God as both Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother, and the mission of Jesus and the Second Coming.
- The sermon discusses the providence of Cheonshimwon and its role in uniting Heaven and Earth. It highlights True Parents' teachings on becoming one with God and Christ.
- Testimonies are shared about experiences at Cheonshimwon prayer rallies, feeling True Father's heart and tears, and being spiritually revived.
- The sermon emphasizes that through Cheonshimwon, all people can attain a state of oneness with Heavenly Parent and True Parents, fulfilling the purpose of creating humanity in God's image.
This Sunday sermon discusses spiritual principles from the Bible and Divine Principle. It covers topics like the relationship between the physical and spiritual worlds, the law of attraction, discerning good and evil spirits, and fallen human nature. The sermon argues that modern ills like depression, violence and addiction have spiritual roots in original sin and the fall of man. It presents a solution in millions of messiahs and true parents who can achieve salvation for all of humanity. The sermon encourages praying for inspiration to reach higher levels of goodness.
This document discusses the spiritual world and the original homeland that humanity is meant to return to. It states that the spiritual world is the original homeland, but that humanity currently lives a fallen life on Earth in exile. God has been establishing religions to train and guide people to qualify to return to the original homeland, with the standard being living for the sake of others. The document then shares excerpts from the biography of Hak Ja Han about Satan trying to attack her as an infant but being defeated by her mother, indicating she was destined to defeat Satan. Finally, it lists examples of prophecies around the world that pointed to the year 2000 and the Second Coming.
This document discusses several topics relating to spirituality and the spiritual world, including:
- The human being has both a physical and spiritual aspect.
- Swedenborg described life after death where the spirit continues living in a spiritual world in a spiritual body that corresponds to the physical one.
- Swedenborg said that both good and bad people fully survive physical death and our destiny is determined by our actions in life.
- Ann Lee, the founder of the Shakers, believed that sexual relations were the root of all sin based on her interpretation of the Garden of Eden story.
- A Course in Miracles was dictated to Helen Schucman by an inner voice she identified as Jesus, and discusses
This document discusses biblical prophecies and prophecies concerning the Second Coming of Christ. It summarizes various prophecies from the Old Testament, New Testament, Korean prophecies from the Chung Gam Nok text, and prophecies of Nostradamus. It discusses how these prophecies foretold the appearance of the Messiah in Korea and the establishment of God's kingdom on earth. The document also references how spiritual figures like Sundar Singh, Swedenborg, and others supported the idea of the Second Coming and resurrection of the body.
The document is a collection of quotes from Sun Myung Moon about the relationship between God and humanity. It discusses how human beings were created to be temples for God to dwell in. It says had Adam and Eve not fallen, God would live in our hearts and we would express God through our senses. It also talks about how Jesus came as the perfect temple for God and how through attaining perfection, one can become a temple where God's spirit lives. The quotes explore how God needs a physical form to manifest and rule over creation, and how through love, the spiritual and physical can be united.
This document provides a glossary of Korean spiritual terms used in the Unification movement. It defines abbreviations and short vocabulary for important texts, locations, and concepts. Key terms explained include Cheon Il Guk, the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, True Parents as the representatives of God, and the goal of establishing a world of peace under the heavenly parent. The document traces the origins and meanings behind the movement's terminology and emphasizes their significance for realizing God's ideal of one family under God.
Sermon DP & Beatitudes Part 2of2 - True Family - Owner of Peace & LineageBengt & Maarit de Paulis
The sermon discusses the Beatitudes from the Bible and their relationship to Divine Principle teachings. It provides quotes from Rev. Sun Myung Moon's speeches comparing the Old Testament commandments to Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. The sermon encourages living for the sake of others and finding one's ideal partner to establish a God-centered family. It concludes with a prayer and well wishes for the week.
The document is a summary of a sermon given on the Beatitudes from the Gospel of Matthew. It discusses each of the nine Beatitudes that Jesus taught, relating them to Divine Principle teachings. For each Beatitude, it provides biblical context and an explanation of what Jesus meant in light of the Principle. The overall message is that through understanding the Principle, we can grasp Jesus' true meaning when he promised nine kinds of blessings to those who live according to his teachings.
The document provides scriptural evidence from both the Old and New Testaments to support key claims of the Divine Principle, including that:
1. The Fall of Man was sexual in nature, as hinted at in passages like Genesis 3:7 and Psalm 51:7.
2. Jesus came primarily to be accepted and establish a Holy Family through marriage and children, as was prophesied, before his death, as acceptance was necessary for salvation according to John 6:29.
3. There will be a New Adam and Eve, like Jesus, who will fulfill the mission of creating a sinless Holy Family and establishing God's Kingdom on Earth, as passages like Joel 2:28 and John 16:
The document discusses the life and purpose of Jesus Christ and Dr. Sun Myung Moon. It provides background on their births and missions to establish the foundations for a new heaven and new earth. It also references spiritual laws, principles, and the providence to establish God's kingdom.
This document discusses numerology and its relation to divine principles and scripture. Some key points:
1. Numbers are said to have a metaphysical existence and were important in ancient cultures like Greece. The Bible also emphasizes certain numbers like 40.
2. Divine Principle texts explain that numbers represent spiritual concepts - like 3 representing God as the unity of dual characteristics. All things grow through 3 stages according to mathematical principles.
3. Certain numbers hold providential meaning and are periods of indemnity - like the number 4 representing restoring the four position foundation or 40 representing separation from Satan. Restoring these numbers is necessary to establish the foundation of faith.
This document discusses the difference between cults and religions. It notes that early Christianity, Islam, and other major religions were initially regarded as cults. It suggests that the real difference between a cult and religion is about 100 years - once a group survives for multiple generations, it is considered a religion rather than a cult. The document provides historical examples and argues that groups must moderate behaviors and beliefs to survive across generations within a society. It cautions against accusing other religious groups of being cults when they are reasonably decent and function as citizens.
Un Jin Moon gave a sermon about the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. He discussed how Jesus gave Peter the keys to bind and loose on earth and heaven. True Father then explained the providence to establish home churches and tribal messiahship in order to restore what Jesus could not fulfill and realize the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. He emphasized living for others and experiencing the Kingdom of God internally through love of God and neighbor.
The sermon discusses the symbolism of the red cross representing the blood of Christ and martyrs. It talks about the suffering of martyrs throughout history from biblical times to modern conflicts. The white cross represents the second coming of Christ and true parents. The sermon suggests we are living in times of global suffering represented by the red and white cross, but that true parents will establish an era of peace and a golden age. It encourages sharing the good news of Christ's return in the form of true parents to bring a sinless future for mankind.
Astronism, Cosmism and Cosmodeism: the space religions espousing the doctrine...Cometan
This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.

Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.

5. God is precisely a kind of object for which
the knower's relationship to Him is involved
in the knowledge of Him.
For this reason, Kierkegaard presents "subjectivity of truth"
against "objectivity of truth."
He accepts rationalist approaches in logic and mathematics,
but not to the matter of God.
6. DP: God, the Author of the Principle, has regard only
for the fruits of their growth which are based on the
Principle.
In this way, He governs all things indirectly.
We call this growing period the realm of
God's indirect dominion or
the realm of dominion based on
accomplishment through the Principle.
7. In His capacity as the Creator, God created human
beings in such a manner that they can pass through
the growing period (the realm of indirect dominion)
and attain perfection only when they have completed
their own portion of responsibility.
It leads into the Realm of Direct Dominion where a person
becomes the fullest "Substantial Object Partner in Image"
to God.
Like a matured child's relationship to parents,
a man's bond with God is destined to be inseparably
close in heart.

16. Excerpts from Dr. Young Oon Kim's Unification Theology:
Kierkegaard understands that
"the most tragic human death occurs on the spiritual plane.
Anyone who does not love and can not love is dead.
Such individuals are really selfish, and most unfortunate.
Where can they learn to love, except in the family,
which is the most natural orphanage."
18. Originally, parents are to stand in God's position, with the
husband and wife each representing One side of God.
Their sons and daughters also are small embodiments
of God.
Once they connect to the true love of God, the origin of
true love, all of them become part of the same body.
19. The husband and wife represent God,
as do the children and the grandparents.
In this way three generations stand in God's position,
centered on true love.
A family structure centered on true love like this
is the foundation for the kingdom of heaven.

20. Kierkegaard: Why do we sin?
Well, thanks to man's deep-seated anxiety. Our moral
failings come from a terrible life of fear and anxiety.
Quote: Young Oon Kim, The Types of Modern Theology:
Kirkegaard emphasized man's fallen nature. We are anxious,
angry, neurotic and desperate creatures. We all age,
Without exception of "Death's disease", which Kierkgaard
called one of his books.
We are all Adam, and all fall like him in self-centered
disobedience and rebellion.
21. It is not because Lazarus was awakened from
the dead, not for this can one say that this sickness
is not unto death; but because He lives, therefore
this sickness is not unto death.
For, humanly speaking, death is the last thing of all; and,
humanly speaking, there is hope only so long as there is life.
22. But Christianly understood death is by no means
the last thing of all, hence it is only a little event
within that which is all, an eternal life;
and
Christianity understood there is in death infinitely
much more hope than merely humanly speaking
there is when there not only is life but this life
exhibits the fullest health and vigor.
/Kierkegaard
23. DP: Since God so warned them, it must be that when
Adam and Eve ate of the fruit, they did in fact die.
Yet Adam and Eve after the Fall continued their earthly life
and bore children, who multiplied to form today's corrupt
human society.
We can conclude that the death caused by the Fall does
not mean the end of physical life, but rather the descent from
the good dominion of God into the evil dominion of Satan.
24. They could not multiply God’s good
lineage but instead multiplied Satan’s evil
lineage.

26. A Unification Thought Appraisal of the
Existentialist Analysis of Human Existence
Kierkegaard's Analysis of Human Existence
Soren Kierkegaard (1813-1855) asked himself the question,
"What is the human being?" His answer was, "a human
being is spirit. But what is spirit? Spirit is the self.
But what is the self? The self is a relation that relates to
itself. Then, who is it that establishes such a relation?
It must be a third party, a reality other than one's own self-
and that reality is none other than God Himself according to
Kierkegaard. Therefore, the original self is the self that
stands before God, Kierkegaard concluded.
27. Yet, human beings, who should thus live in a relationship
with God, have become separated from God. Kierkegaard
explained the nature of that separation in his analysis of
Genesis proposed in his book The Concept of Dread, as
follows: In the beginning, Adam was in a state of peace and
comfort, but at the same time, he was in it state of dread (or
Angst).
When God told Adam, "of the tree of the knowledge of good
and evil you shall not eat" (Gen. 2:17, Rsv),
the possibility of freedom was awakened within Adam.
This possibility of freedom threw Adam into extreme dread.
As Adam looked into the abyss of freedom, he became
dizzy and clung to his own self. That was the precise
moment when original sin came into being.
28. As a result, a division rose in our relationship to our own
selves, and we fell into despair (Verzweifielung).
People tried to remove this despair, regarding it as
something that has come from the outside. But they can
never remove it that way.
Only by faith, by rediscovering our relationship to God, can
we restore our original relationship to ourselves and escape
from despair.
29. Kierkegaard criticized crowds for their irresponsibility and
their lack of conscience, saying, "A public is everything and
nothing, the most dangerous of all powers and the most
insignificant."
He asserted that, in order for people to actualize their true
human nature, they must depart from the world of the public
and stand before God all by themselves -- each as an
individual. He explained the stages through which people
return to their original selves in terms of three stages of
existence.
30. The first stage is the stage of "aesthetic existence."
Persons in this stage simply follow their sensual desires
exactly as they are and live just as they please.
The purpose of this kind of life is pleasure. The position of
someone in the aesthetic existence is that of a seducer, a
pursuer of erotic love. But since the moment of pleasure is
not something that can be maintained continuously,
persons in the aesthetic stage are trapped by fatigue and
dread. They become frustrated and fall into despair - but
through making a decision, they can proceed to the next
stage.
31. The second stage is that of "ethical existence."
Persons of this stage seek to live according to their
conscience, with good and evil as standards of judgment.
They seek to live as good citizens with a sense of
responsibility and duty. Yet, no matter how hard they may
try, they cannot live totally in accordance with their
conscience. So, they become frustrated and fall into
despair. Again, through making a decision, they can
proceed to the next stage.
32. The third stage is that of "religious existence."
Here, each person stands alone with faith in the presence
of God; only by doing so can someone become a true
existential being. In order to enter this stage, a leap is
required. Such a leap is possible if one believes in a
paradox that cannot be understood with the intellect.
One can believe, for example, such an irrational statement
as that the eternal God incarnated in the finite time
spectrum to become a man. Only by such a leap can
people truly recover their relationship to God. Abraham's
obedience to God's commandment to offer his son Isaac as
a sacrifice, which was contrary to human ethics, was held to
be the model for this kind of religious life.
33. According to Kierkegaard, as people separated
from God, a division rose in the relationship
that relates someone to one's own self, causing
people to fall into despair. From the perspective of
Unification Thought, this relationship can be regarded as
either the relationship between mind and body or the
relationship between spirit mind and physical mind.
This means that, as people separated from God, mind and
body became divided. This implied that mind and body are
united in the original self. This corresponds to the "being of
united Sungsang and Hyungsang" referred to in the Theory
of the Original Human Nature of Unification Thought.
34. When individuals who have become true existences
centered on God - in other words, who have become
original selves - come to love one another through the
mediation of God by following Jesus' words to
"love your neighbor as yourself."
Only then, through such 'works of love,"
will society be established.
35. Kierkegaard said that "when someone stands before God
as an individual," that person stands in an absolute
relationship to the Absolute Being (or God). This
corresponds to "a being with individuality" referred to in
Unification Thought's Theory of the Original Human Nature.
Still, why is this individual considered to be absolute?
From the Unification Thought perspective, God is a being of
Heart, and He seeks to obtain an irreplaceable joy from
each individual being. From this, the absoluteness of a
being with individuality can be established.
36. In this way, Kierkegaard perceived some aspects of the
original nature as a being of united Sungsang and
Hyungsang and as a being with individuality.
Nevertheless, this is not all there is to the original human
nature. The most essential aspect of the original human
nature is that of a being with Heart.
Moreover, a person standing before God merely as an
individual would be imperfect. Only when standing before
God as husband and wife can human beings become
perfect. That is to say, the human being is a being of
harmonious yang and yin. They are also beings with Logos
and creativity. Moreover, they are beings with position,
endowed with both the nature of a subject and the nature of
an object. Kierkegaard's view of human beings as standing
before God as individuals is a sincere but solitary and lonely
view.
37. Why have people become separated from God? Unless the
cause of this separation is clarified, it will be impossible to
return to the original self, that is, to the person of the
original ideal of God.
Kierkegaard said that Adam fell into sin through the dread
that arose from the possibility of freedom. Can that be true?
According to the Unification Principle, neither freedom nor
dread was the cause of the human fall. The first human
ancestors,
Adam and Eve, did not observe God's word, but
instead, followed the temptation of the Archangel,
misdirecting their love.
38. The force of the non-principled love that arose as a result,
made them fall away from God. When Adam and Eve were
about to deviate from the right path, in violation of the Word
of God, the freedom of their original mind gave rise to their
dread.
Thus, freedom and dread worked, instead, in the direction
of preventing them from deviating.
Furthermore, as a result of the fall, humankind became
separated from God, and dread and despair came into
being in humans. Therefore, unless the problem of the fall
is correctly solved, people's dread and despair cannot be
solved.
39. Kierkegaard said that, in order for us to recover our
authentic state we must fight against the falsity of the crowd
and return to God.
This reflects Kierkegaard's own path in seeking to
encounter God, which he did while enduring persecution
and ridicule from his contemporaries
40. As the age of twenty-seven, Kierkegaard fell in love with, and
became engaged to, Regina Olsen. Later, however, out of fear
that he might plunge her into unhappiness through marriage,
he unilaterally broke off the engagement and began looking for
love of a higher level than romantic love.
Because of that, he was criticized by society, but we can see
that his desire was to realize true love between man and
woman centered on God.
The original image of the human being pursued by
Kierkegaard, in terms of direction, largely in accord with the
position of Unification Though. Nevertheless, the image of the
human being he proposed has more than a few ambiguities.
