I have worked with Mr. Wiemiller during the 2008 – 14 academic years. In that time I
have acted as the head of the mathematics department at Oaklawn Academy to Mr.
Wiemiller.
Since working with David I have noticed that he is extremely passionate about his job as
a mathematics instructor. He is always willing to help students or colleague in solving
problems. He will not rest until he has found a solution. His work ethic as a teacher,
coworker, and mentor are excellent.
David is a indefatigable innovator. He created Oaklawn’s new mathematics placement
exam, he created a unique Algebra curriculum, and challenged his students with hand-on
cross curriculum projects.
While at Oaklawn Academy David wore many hats. He coached cross country and
administered the yearly cross county meet involving hundreds of area atheletes. David
has also coached rock climbing clinics, basketball, and conditioning as part of our
physical education curriculum. In addition to athletic coaching duties he successfully
coached the competitive Mathcounts team in the Wisconsin State Tournament.
David is endlessly seeking new knowledge to improve his skills and job performance.
He is constantly expanding his knowledge base by using technology and reaching out to
colleagues and mentors. He never loses his passion for learning or his enthusiasm for
sharing it with others.
With David you will get a tireless worker, an enthusiastic advocate, and a creative thinker
and doer. I can confidently recommend David for any position he applies for.
