Potenziodinamic curves arte often used to
investigate material characteristics.
Salt spray fog tests are only a qualitative
characterization and are influenced by many
variables.
Potenziodinamic curves provide
quantitative data very usefull in order to
investigate the pretreatment characteristics.
Potenziodinamic curves are really replicable
and could provide data usefull to compare
different pretreatments in a very fast test
(few hrs).
19. ACET method
• ACET technique allows to predict anticorrosive
behaviour in 24h.
• ACET technique provides quantitative results
for mathematical correlations with NSS and
ASS.
• Equivalent circuit modelization allows to know
quantitatively coating and interface properties.

In the last 5 years this process was adopted by many customers
as final passivation for iron, aluminium and HDG.

• Passivated surfaces are colorless and could be immediatly
painted without any further pretreatment
• Paint adhesion is excellent
• Passivated HDG not painted and stocked in exteriors does not
shows any surface oxidation for at least 2-3 months.
• DOLLCOAT SA 119 is allways compatible with any other
potential pretreatment applied after a long external exposition

Chrome free QUALICOAT pretreatment
• DOLLCOAT SA 121 was originally
formulated for aluminium coil conversion
• DOLLCOAT SA 121 is an approved
QUALICOAT pretreatment
• DOLLCOAT SA 121 contains synthesis
oligomers in order to improve paint
adhesion and chemical corrosion resistence.
• Paint adhesion is a critical problem in
aluminium coil specially for the post
forming phase. Sometimes this problem
could occours also on twisted profiles
• DOLLCOAT SA 121 could be used also on
die cast aluminium with good results.
45. DOLLCOAT SA 113 - EASY TO CLEAN

• Colorless
• UV resistant
• Very low surface tension
• Excellent scratch resistence
• Dollcoat SA 113 could be used on any metal

The right side of the steel panel was treated with DOLLCOAT SA 113.
His very low surface tension avoid a good adhesion of inks and paints.

violet iridescent color change.
