This document summarizes Ashwani Dixit's 14-15 day vocational training at the Diesel Shed in Ratlam, Western Railway. It provides an introduction to the diesel shed and locomotives, including its establishment in 1967 and current holdings. Each day of the training focused on a different locomotive system, such as maintenance, starting systems, fuel and air systems, braking, safety devices, and lubrication. Manufacturers of locomotive components are also listed. Pictures and a certificate of completion are included at the end.
Presentation on Remanufacturing of Engine Block of a locomotive at DMW, PatialaArjun Gaur
The presentation is related to my Internship at D.M.W, Patiala, one of the primate manufacturers for Indian Railways. The project assigned to me was to study the rehabilitation and remanufacturing of the Engine Block of a locomotive. Although there might be some minute loop holes in the presentation as it has been 2 years since I left that very place, but more or less everything is same. In fact, it was during my training that the Ministry of Railways decided to manufacture and roll out Multi- Genset loco called WDM 2G. So for any basic queries regarding the presentation feel free to contact.

Evaluation of Electric-Turbo-Compounding Technology applied to Marine Diesel-...Bowman Power
Bowman Power and University College London (UCL) presented a new engine efficiency technology at the 14th International Naval Engineering Conference and Exhibition (INEC 2018).
This presentation looks at the rationale behind using ETC technology for shipping and shows the potential uplift that could be achieved when paring a marine engine with the ETC system. This includes improvements in mechanical power and electric power output.

DLW SUMMER TRAINING REPORT FOR ECE BRANCH SUBHAM SINGH
this report is very usful for student who are doing in a DLW summer training and also learns a lot of thing from this report .I have learnt a lot of things from DLW training and i feel lucky to this part of summer training in a DLW ,varanasi .And last things,I suggest to all of u ,please dont do training for attendance purpose ,honestly u should learn a lot of things which is better for ur future.DLW is an integrated plant and its manufacturing facilities are flexible in nature.

The Bloodhound Supersonic Car: Innovation at 1,000 mphAtkins
The Bloodhound Supersonic Car is an extraordinary automobile. Designed for a top speed of 1,050 mph (1.3 times the speed of sound), it is hoping to beat the world land speed record in Northern Cape, South Africa in 2015 and 2016. Atkins’ expertise in stress and finite element analysis, advanced composites methods and vehicle safety is helping Bloodhound to reach this goal. Find out more: http://bit.ly/atk-ssc

The class WDM-2 is Indian Railways' workhorse diesel locomotive. The first units were imported fully built from
the American Locomotive Company (Alco) in 1962. Since 1964, it has been manufactured in India by the Diesel
Locomotive Works (DLW), Varanasi. The model name stands for broad gauge (W), diesel (D), mixed traffic (M) engine.
The WDM-2 is the most common diesel locomotive of Indian Railways. the gear ratio is 65:18.
