Does anyone have a photo of the completed moon map? I need the map labeled and here are the
instructions.
Geology 137 Homework 1: Making Maps Since we will be looking at lots of geological maps this
term, and since many geological studies begin with making a geological map, let's start by making
a simple geologic map of our own. To keep it simple, we'll map an area of the moon, directly on a
photograph of a portion of the lunar surface. The first step in this process is identifying the different
rocks in the area to be mapped. On earth you might walk over the area, investigating outcrops of
in situ rocks (not float, loose rocks that have moved from their original location), collecting samples
and locating and labeling them carefully on your base map, making field identifications to begin but
reserving the right to change those after careful laboratory analysis of the samples later. The
different categories of rocks you identify are the rock units for that area; each will generally tell you
something about the deposition or emplacement of that rock type: part of the geological history of
the area. The second step is to locate the contacts between these rock units, the places where
these units meet. These will be drawn as lines on a map, but as the rocks are three-dimensional
bodies, contacts are surfaces between rock units. These must be meticulously drawn, as the
nature of these contacts will reveal the next piece of the geological puzzle: how the different rock
units are related to each other in time. The final step is to take the evidence from the rock units
and from the relationships between these rock units, and construct a geological history of the
mapped area. So: decide units, locate contacts, write history. 1. UNITS. Obviously, we are not
going to walk around collecting samples on the moon, so we must use what we have. Our rock
units will be identified from the photograph: from differences in grey scale, in texture, in reflectivity.
Decide on your units, name them, and list them on the back of this page WITH DESCRIPTIONS. |
Unit descriptions should be as purely observational as possible, based only on what you see ("flat
dull dark gray"). Avoid interpretations, specifically genetic interpretations (about origins). Names
for units, however, can be genetic, for example "Recent Craters," or "Vermont Cheddar." 2.
CONTACTS. Carefully draw the contacts between your units on the photo. I recommend pencil
rather than ink, and a fine mechanical pencil is best. If you use an old-fashioned pencil keep it
sharp. 3. LABEL UNITS ON THE MAP. Choose abbreviations for your units, and label the units on
the photo. For example, if you decide one of your units is "Recent Craters" you may abbreviate
that RC, in which case you should put RC in every outcrop of that unit. 4. WRITE A BRIEF
GEOLOGICAL HISTORY. Which unit do you think is oldest? Which is youngest? Why? Write a
very brief and necessarily speculative geological history of this mapped region, bas.

DNA exits mostly as a double stranded molecule Because of .pdfadamsapparelsformen
DNA exits mostly as a double -stranded molecule. Because of how the strands are organized and
held together by specific hydrogen bond patterns (i.e. base pairing). To replicate DNA, the two
strands are seperated, and new nuclotides are brought in to base pair with each of the strands
using base pairing rules. So the original strand P1 (parent 1) will be the template to form a new
strand D2 (daughter 2) which will be complementary to the parent strand but not identical to it. It
will, instead, be identical to the original strand P2 (which is why i numbered it "2"). The original
strand P2 will be the template to form a new complementary daughter strand A1. The results is
two new sets of double- stranded DNA. P1 paired with D2 and P2 paired with D1.
So far, so good. Now, here is what i want you to think and write about this week:
We think, early life's history, its possible (maybe even likely) that the original molecule of heredity
was RNA, or something more like RNA, which is not double- stranded. In cells like ours, and even
like a prokaryotes, RNA is almost always created using DNA as a templete, not RNA.
So.... using the information from your lecture, textbook, and notes: Tell me how you think single-
stranded RNA would have been replicated ? Think about initiation, elongation, and termination, to
help you organize your hypothesis. (Hint: there are "things" that are capable of using an RNA
template to replicate RNA.) (second hint: if you replicate a single strand of RNA, did you actually
make a copy ?)

Dispersed Workplace A Case Study Your nonprofit organizatio.pdfadamsapparelsformen
Dispersed Workplace: A Case Study
Your nonprofit organization, one concerned with stimulating and communicating innovation in local
government, is headquartered in the western United States. But you have long recognized the
importance of having several regional representatives in various parts of the country, people who
can help identify innovations, share information about local government practices, and perhaps
most important, stimulate new memberships among local governments in their areas. While you
communicate with the regional representatives regularly by phone and email and see them in
person two or three times a year, for the most part they are out there "on their own." Your board is
highly supportive of the idea of having regional representatives but wants to be sure (1) that the
regional representatives are getting what they need from the organization in terms of support,
encouragement, and a sense of belonging to the organization and (2) that the regional
representatives are being properly "managed" and held accountable for their work.
What considerations would you take into account in developing a strategy for managing these
remote employees? How would you take lessons from the literature on leadership and
management, such as the importance of involving employees in organizational decision-making,
and apply them in this kind of situation? How, for example, can you incorporate dialogue into your
communications and be effective in supportive communications? How would the fact that your
organization is multigenerational be likely to affect its operation?
Please answer the questions and summarize your answer based on the scenario. Thank you..

This is a forum for sharing thoughts and personal experiences, concerns or fears when confronted
with death and dying situations, either professionally or personally. The following questions are
leads-ins to your conversations: 1. What images of death do you see in your daily lives? On TV
and in movies? In newspapers? In music? 2. What are your feelings/thoughts about death and
caring for someone as their nurse aide, as they are dying? 3. Have you experienced the death of
someone in your life? Is so, how did other people make you feel? Were you allowed to talk about
the loss with friends or family? After watching the videos below, have your feelings or thoughts
about death and dying changed any? If so, how?.
Discussion Prompt Fake news and whos responsible In your .pdfadamsapparelsformen
Discussion Prompt: Fake news and who's responsible.
In your response posts to two different peers, share your viewpoints and experience under each
peer's post.
Peer 1: Information management is, in my opinion, everyone's responsibility. The social media
platform is responsible for upholding specific content standards. The content of advertisements
created by advertising agencies must adhere to specific guidelines. Businesses should not take a
"hands-off" approach when interacting with third parties that manage their business, as they
ultimately bear responsibility. Additionally, they should conduct background investigations to
ensure that the third party is a reputable organization. When users encounter false information,
they can report it to the platform/social media corporation for investigation. Even though I assert it
is false, that does not necessarily make it so. Due diligence and an investigation are necessary to
ascertain the post's validity. Companies must be held accountable for their actions, including
where they advertise. In addition to being detrimental in a social context, it can be detrimental to
the profitability and sales of your company. Why would you risk your reputation to generate
revenue by publishing or advertising on an unethical or unreliable website? Consumers will start to
wonder whether your product is of excellent quality if your integrity is questionable. This greedy
stance will likely alienate existing customers and decline the recurrent business.
Peer 2: With social media, filter apps, and bloggers, to name a few, sometimes we believe
information that isn't real or true even though we know deep down it's not actual or possible. When
this happens, who do we blame for informing the public or viewers that the information or product
they represent is fake? Since I'm currently trying to get my marketing degree and have taken a few
marketing-related classes, I know some people are brand managers. Brand managers are
responsible for the brand or product they represent. Unfortunately, sometimes brand managers
have to do what they have to do to make their brand well-known or product sell. With that in mind,
I believe brand managers should be mainly responsible for publicizing fake news or information. A
brand manager knows the ins-outs and everything about the brand or product. They know facts
and are more knowledgeable about the product and brand than most people in the company. They
are the ones who set the standard for the company or product when it comes to information. If I
were part of a company's marketing department, ethics, and morals would have to be considered
and sometimes pushed aside. They say bad publicity is good because your name or brand is
mentioned. So, I would have to say that even though fake information is unethical, if your brand or
product is mentioned, the public will view your company and maybe even buy products
unexpectedly, making the company earn money through fake information..

Thank you..

Discussion Board - Death and Dying: The Conversation We Want to Avoid Each student must
start one thread and participate in 2 other threads to meet completion of this assignment. There
are no right or wrong responds. However, the Student Code of Conduct prevails here: be
respectful and appropriate when writing your initial "thread" and commenting on other threads.

THE SACRIFICE HOW PRO-PALESTINE PROTESTS STUDENTS ARE SACRIFICING TO CHANGE T...indexPub
The recent surge in pro-Palestine student activism has prompted significant responses from universities, ranging from negotiations and divestment commitments to increased transparency about investments in companies supporting the war on Gaza. This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges. However, the researchers call for acknowledging the broader Impact of these sacrifices on the future global movement of FreePalestine.
