- Wordles are a good way to see the most common words and themes of a document. I think it’s good for them to compare historical documents and look for themes. I will have them write on their own paper and we will discuss in each Wordle which words seem most important. Then we will compare.
- Remind the class of what the document was. Point out “Barons,” “royal,” but also “free,” “liberties,” “justice.” We will discuss it.

- I’ll have them come up with some. We’ll fill in the table. I’ll type answers as they say them. The answers I have provided here are some examples.
- Here I will have them take turns writing on the board what they think is most important. I have given a few examples. I realize when they write on the SMARTBoard it will require different technology, but I did use the writing tool for this.
- We will discuss it and see some examples, like how the early documents talk about Barons and Kings and later documents talk about governments and Representatives
- We will talk about how government documents like the ones discussed furthered the cause for Freedom
- This will be a project. I will have them pair up and pick a speech (find important speeches using Google) and make their own Moodle which we will display in some way. It should be fun for them. I will go to the link and pick some text and show them how to make a Wordle.
