ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I sincerely feel that the credit of this work could not be narrowed down to
only one individual. The completion of this industry orientation involves many
valuable contributions.
I am thankful to my mentor Ms. Supriya Yadav, for providing me necessary sup-
port. My sincere thank should go to National Institute of Fashion and
Technology, for providing us a good platform for a bright carrier. I extend my
gratitude towards all the faculty members of Fashion & Lifestyle Accessory
design department, NIFT Bhopal, for their help and support.
My grateful thanks to, Mr. Alok Pratap Singh, Director of the organization, who
being busy with his work arranged all possible facilities to make my work easier.
I further extend my gratitude to Mr. Ananya Pratap Singh, for monitoring my pro-
gress, to guide me and make me understand the fundamentals of non-government
organization.
I am grateful to all my friends, for providing necessary feedback and support where
deserved. There are times in such projects when the clock beats you time again
and again you run out of energy and you just want to finish it once and forever. And
at last but not least I would like to thank my family members that made me
endure such times with their unfailing humor and warm wishes.

ABOUT
INDUSTRY ORIENTATION
2

Industry Orientation aims at introduction in the company where we take
steps that will further help us in future to know how - to study during an Internship,
how to be an integral part of the organization and to how to make changes in the
production area that must benefit the end consumer as well.
Fashion and Lifestyle Accessory Design, is a professional course where
one has to have an understanding of technology, production and management at
an industry level, while or after the design methodologies undertaken.
Due to its strong industry focus, the successful completion of the program
depends on over the ability to professionally demonstrate an all round compe-
tence through a real life project, for which the prerequisite is Industry Orientation.
Here the Industry Orientation is undertaken in Rajeev smriti gas pidit punar-
was kendra, to study the working of non-governmental organization, manufactur-
ing processes and also its working process..
An Industry Orientation at Rajeev smriti gas pidit punarwas kendra , is a
Golden opportunity for learning, experience and self development, which has
been the first step taken by me in the professional world. I consider myself very
lucky and honored to have so many wonderful people lead me through in comple-
tion of this project.

SYNOPSIS
16

The Industry Orientation at Rajeev Smriti Gas PiditPunarwas Kendra
proved to be a great experience, where I learned a manufacturing environment
and the importance of each management level.
The Industry Orientation programme provided me with a platform to ob-
serve, undertsand and learn the working pattern, various departmental roles and
their managerial processes. It also held me to understand the work process in an
industrial atmosphere.
The course module designed at NIFT - Fashion and lifestyle accessories
department provides a thorough theoritical knowledge of the above said process
but the indstry orientation helped me to gain an insight to the actual atmosphere
and made me gain a new observational view learning idea through this industry
orientation programme.
I learnt the manufacturing process, mass production, constraints, and
proper industrial approach towards a user friendly product, which goes through
various quality check inspection.
Gaining this experience has helped me to create a strong base for my
further learning and gaining a deep and better understanding in near future.
