The Central Theme of the Scriptures is the Kingdom of God. What is it? How does it relate to the church? How does it relate to society? A Video of this material is available at https://vimeo.com/vivgrigg/kingdom.
Bible Alive Jesus Christ 008: “The Kingdom of God II--Miracles and Message”BibleAlive
Explore the message of Jesus and his teaching method. Discover what “Kingdom of God” means. Learn why the “Festive Banquet” is the central image of the Kingdom and why in Jesus’ message. See how metanoia (a complete change of heart) begins with accepting the invitation to the banquet. Also learn about Jesus’ miracles, called “dynameis” or “powerful deeds,” and how these acts of power show forth the hidden Kingdom. Are they historical? And discover how “the distribution of the loaves and fish” is the turning point in Jesus’ ministry.
In "Looking at the Big Picture" we look at what life is all about according to the Bible by looking at Jesus, the gospel, the church and the mission of the church. This teaching is the introduction to the gospel series "Growing Deep in the Gospel".

Jesus was the lion of the tribe of judahGLENN PEASE
This is a study of Jesus being called the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. It is a name given to Jesus in Revelation 5 at the same time that He is called the Lamb of God. He is the Lion and the Lamb.
An updated version of the introduction to our gospel series "Growing Deep in the Gospel". In it we look at how Jesus, the Gospel, the Church and the Mission form the basis of the "Big Picture". If we understand the "Big Picture" we will be able to better answer questions like "What does God says life is all about?", "Why did God create me?", "What is the purpose of life?", "What is God's will for me?", and "How do I decide what is important in life?".

Class 5 of The Consummation.
This examines the most popular view of end times in the American evangelical church today, Dispensational Premillennialism. It gives a summary of it's views and critiques it.
This is a study of Jesus as a problem. He was a serious problem to the Jewish leaders and that is why the cross was in His future. He caused the rise and fall of many because He was a problem for many to deal with.

Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

6. Here is a man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in another village. He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty. Then for three years He was an itinerant preacher. He never owned a home. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never put His foot inside a big city. He never travelled two hundred miles from the place He was born. He never did one of the things that usually accompany greatness. 7. While still a young man, the tide of popular opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. One of them denied Him. He was turned over to His enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed upon a cross between two thieves. While He was dying His executioners gambled for the only piece of property He had on earth – His coat. When He was dead, He was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend. Twenty long centuries have come and gone, and today He is a centerpiece of the human race and leader of the column of progress.
