Sino-US Relations in the 21st Century: Is a Sino-US War Possible?Bright Mhango
This paper grapples with this question and concludes that war between the two can break out even tonight if certain conditions are met. However, for now, with China’s military not advanced enough, any war would have to be started by the US. And it so happens that the US actually has enough motives to engage China before it fully modernizes but cannot just do so from the blue. The US is thus trying to force China to give it the reason to justify a war to its increasingly war skeptical allies and domestic publics.
The reasons why the two cannot fight for now range from interdependence, the fact that Taiwan has not declared independence yet and the fact that Sino-Japan relations do not boil beyond the Yasukuni rhetoric. It is also due to the fact that China is powerless and relies on the US for many things such as access to lucrative markets and technology. The characters and personalities of the leaders of the two countries are also partly the reason there is not enough bad-blood to sound the war cry yet.

Part 2-How China’s Belt and Road Initiative is Transforming Global Infrastruc...Pamir Law Group
Lessons Learned/Case Studies: How China’s Belt and Road Initiative (“BRI”) is Transforming Global Infrastructure and Connectivity to Empower Indigenous/International Entrepreneurs to Create Jobs, Transfer Technology and Generate Wealth and Change the Future of Economic Development. Through a series of fast moving slides and photographs the audience could see how the BRI was redrawing the geopolitical supply chain and connectivity across many regions and that the changes were not just concrete and steel but also transformative through the internet and financial supports. The narrative was far broader than the narrow western media focus on debt trap. It was noted that financing of infrastructure always had a cost of money and with the revenues generated economic development was possible. The presentation provided examples of how state infrastructure investment brought private entrepreneurs and corporate investment which generated jobs, job training, middle class, managerial class development and new export industries and revenues along with largely local hiring by Chinese companies. With the anticipated loss of over 300 million manufacturing jobs in China in the next few years, nations that prepared stood to benefit from the transfers to change their national trajectories and the velocities on those raised trajectories.

ülkeler dünyası için çok önemlidir.
11

20
21. DÜNYA BANKASI YÖNETİMİ
IMF’ye benzer bir şekilde yönetilir. Banka'ya üye her
ülkeden katılan bir Guvernör ile bir Guvernör
Yardımcısı’ndan oluşan Guvernörler Kurulu her yıl
Eylül ayında toplanarak yıllık raporu ve hesapları
görüşerek kabul eder, direktörleri seçer. Şu anda
direktör sayısı 21'dir. Bunlardan altısı Banka'nın
sermayesine en fazla katılmış ülkeler tarafından atanır.
On beşi seçimle atanır.
21
22. DÜNYA BANKASI & IMF İŞBİRLİĞİ
IMF ve Dünya Bankası Guvernörler kurulları yıllık
toplantılarında birbirlerine danışır, uluslararası
ekonomik ve mali sorunların nasıl ele alınacağı ve
kuruluşlar için önceliklerin belirlenmesi için görüş
bildirirler.
Bununla beraber her iki kuruluşun diğer birimleri de
bilgi alışverişinde bulunur.

Türkiye, Banka'ya 19.2.1947'de 5016 sayılı Kanun ile
katılmıştır.
Türkiye Dünya Bankası Grubu’nun en büyük orta
gelirli ortaklarından birisidir. 799.54 milyar ABD$
büyüklüğündeki gayrisafi yurt içi hasılası ile Türkiye
dünyanın 17. büyük ekonomisidir. Türkiye OECD ve
G20 üyesidir ve ikili Resmi Kalkınma Yardımlarının
(ODA) giderek daha fazla önem kazanan bir
donörüdür.
25
26. DÜNYA BANKASI & TÜRKİYE
Dünya Bankası Grubu, büyük ölçüde sonuçlara
odaklanan bir program uygulaması, krediler ve teknik
danışmanlık hizmetleri yoluyla, Türkiye
Hükümeti’nin kalkınma hedeflerine ulaşma yolunda
desteklemeye devam etmektedir.
26
27. DÜNYA BANKASI & TÜRKİYE
Stratejik işbirliği alanları arasında; özel sektörün
geliştirilmesi, kamu maliyesi, enerji, iklim değişikliği,
sağlık, eğitim, çevresel yönetim ve belediye hizmetleri
yer almaktadır.
27
28. DÜNYA BANKASI & TÜRKİYE
Sermaye birikimi yetersiz olan ülkemizin, kalkınma
için dış kaynağa ihtiyacı olup, Dünya Bankası
kaynakları Türkiye için önemlidir.
Dünya Bankası da kaynaklarını Türkiye gibi borcunu
zamanında ve stabil bir şekilde ödeyen ülkelere
yatırması önemlidir.
