Short review on previous lesson to prepare the students for a long quiz today.
B. Establishing a purpose
for the lesson
Share with the learners the purpose of this week’s class.
 identify the barriers of communication;
 apply various strategies to solve a communication breakdown; and,
 value the importance of effective communication in relation to real life experiences.
C. Presenting
examples/instances of the new
lesson
To start the class, the teacher will show a video entitled, “The failure of
Communication.
D. Discussing new concepts
and practicing new skills #1
The class will talk about what is communication breakdown.
Synonyms of the word breakdown will also be presented.

The class will be shown of this formula:
Message + Barrier = Communication Breakdown
The class will be asked to make their formula to be successful in communication by
just changing one thing in the formula provided above.
Ideal answer > Message – barrier = successful communication
> Message + Understanding = successful communication
