  1. Changing user/fan/customer experience is the disruption, Digital (or technology) is the enabler
  2. This didn’t disrupt the coffee industry, because this tech has been around for a while
  3. This disrupted coffee, the experience of enjoying great coffee at home in your robe
  4. Technology is becoming consumerised, cloudified, and api’ed. It is not the disruptor but it is becoming available to everyone. This is why IBM is focusing on Design Thinking, opening studios, beefing up IBM Design we know that technology is no longer the differentiator, it is the minium.
  5. It is not just your industry you are in competition with…. Zappos has impacted the way pizza is delivered, Amazon has impacted the way credit cards are bundled
  6. Mobile apps didn’t disrupt the taxi industry or reshape the bad experience of hailing a taxi (especially in rain) Uber, leveraging all of the mobile app and the mobile tech in the drivers car disrupted the industry
