Get in the Ring: The Investment Battle is a worldwide competition for the most promising startups to secure their investment of up to €1,000,000. The competition is a featured event of the Global Entrepreneurship Week. In August we will launch CBC Connect - an online training and networking platform. Top five start-ups including national winners from each country will submit their company profile on CBC Connect and get access to the training, that will help them prepare for the international finals in Copehagen. CBC Start-up Days 17-19 November 2014:
Running concurrently with the International Creative Business Cup Finals in Copenhagen are the CBC Start-up Days. This event consists of:
Seminars, One-on-one sessions, Investor matchmaking, Market Place, Plenary sessions, CBC research and academic conference
Attendees to the CBC Start-up Days include: National hosts, national winners (when not pitching for the jury), creative entrepreneurs, partners, entrepreneurial organisations, investors, policy makers, academics and other interested stakeholders within the field of creative industries. During this time, entrepreneurs that did not win a national Creative Business Cup competition will have the opportunity to be selected to meet investors and potentially pitch to experts from the creative industries and get international experience and feedback.
Through national competition rounds, the best team will progress to the Global Finals that will take place in San Francisco during the Cleantech Open Global Forum in November.
International finalists will present their idea in front of a crowd of 1,000 investors, entrepreneurs, sponsoring companies, corporations, members of academia and press and will participate in additional activities designed to connect them to potential partners, customers and investors from Silicon Valley and around the world.
Six industry categories; air, water & waste, energy efficiency, renewable energy, green building, smart power and transportation. Entrants answer questions online and develop a short venture pitch video. Through national competition rounds, the best team will progress to the Global Finals that will take place in San Francisco during the Cleantech Open Global Forum in November.
