Today we see a worldwide tendency
to uniformity. Rationality
dominates, accompanied but
not diversified by irrationality;
signs, rational in their way, are
attached to things in order to
convey the prestige of their
possessors and their place in the
hierarchy.
What happened to change the
situation? The functional element
was
itself disengaged, rationalized, then
industrially produced, and finally
imposed by constraint and
persuasion: that is to say, by means
of advertising
and by powerful economic and
political lobbies.
Within these parameters, there come
to be constructed multiple
systems or subsystems, each
establishing in its own way a more or
less
coherent set of more or less durable
objects.

Our subject, everyday gastropraxis,
can be defined as a partial totality,
both repetitive and creative.As such,
it is a level of the social totality, a
specific space-time activity of
everyday life: roughly a “sub-system.”

with grander, more extensive
abstract social entities.

Dishbit orders can be given on device or remotely
via the apps. Once the order is taken, dishbit
starts printing them with PLA filament.
Finished dishbits are taken out of the printers and
are carried over to one of the shelves on the side of the
device with a mechanical retriever. These temporary
storage shelves allow users to pickup their orders on
more flexible schedules.
Users can return their used dishbits to the bin on
the back of the device where they will be cleaned
with CO2 gas. Once cleaned, used dishbits are
carried to the top by an endless worm gear, while
being shredded and heated to liquid polymer.
This polymer is extruded back in to the filament roll
to be used again.

dishbit can recognize user by iBeacon and launch her profile.
