Discussion is an exchange of ideas between students and teachers that can be used at any stage of learning. It has advantages of being interesting and challenging while inclusively sharing ideas, though participation may sometimes be limited and difficulty levels could be too hard or easy depending on the situation. For the classroom, discussions should introduce topics by reviewing shared experiences, include follow up questions after presentations, and evaluate how effectively instruction was conveyed.
